Really glad the algorithm decided to show me your video, I like the idea of showcasing a camera collection to jumpstart a channel. Super stoked for the next one!
Welcome and thanks for taking the time to watch. ☺️ Yeah I thought it would be a good one for me to start off with and I’m glad you enjoyed it. @@michabutkiewicz702
The studio express are great, especially the two lens model. Get an empty packfilm cassette, take the back cover off and load it with single sheets of instax, they fit quite well. Same goes for bigshot and cu5
When the shutter blades on an ME Super get stuck, it sometimes helps to open the back of the camera and carefully pull the blades down with your fingernail and move them into the right position again. Worked fine with mine.
Thanks for the tip! I fear it’s more a mirror issue, it locks up and causes everything to jam. I could get it to go back down by hand but it did the same thing again every time. I’m sure it will be an easy fix though, I’ve just haven’t taken the time since I have other cameras. You never know though, someone might come across this that is dealing with the same issue. @@wernerdesmet8672
what a collection, especially with the instants. i personally like to keep my gear minimal - if I haven't used a piece of gear over the past year, I sell it. the rb67 is one of my favorite cameras of all time, ever. took some of my greatest photos with it, acquired a lot of accessories and lenses for it. great portraiture work, by the way!
Thank you! Yeah I consider myself a magpie haha, but I do use majority of my cameras for creative work. I do however try to not to have multiples of the same thing, each one to me brings something different and sometimes unique as a creative tool. The RB67 will forever definitely be one of my favourites amongst them all for sure, I forgot to mention but I also have a Polaroid back for mine too.
This is exactly my mentality with my collection. I don't want three cameras that do the same thing, I want each to be unique to it's design or serve a specific purpose. As if each one is a tool on my belt. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the kind words because I totally felt nervous the whole time haha. The idea had had with the CU-5 was macro shots of things like nails, tooth gems, etc. things you normally can’t that close too. Definitely want to do some more bugs as well 🪲✨ @@anx1ety_prime
That modded SX-70R is the stuff of girlhood dreams😍 I want to see more rocket launcher photos haha. I still cannot get over the image quality of the Fuji GA645 and the krasnogorsk!! Dreamy but still sharp? Magical but real enough to touch. I can’t describe it haha!
I think people just don’t take the time to read manual and learn about the camera; I’ve seen people complain about things not being in focus but are shooting too close for its min. focus range, complain about focusing but aren’t checking the data in the viewfinder before taking the shot. I think people expect because it’s fully auto that it’s a miracle worker instead of taking the time to understand the camera and working to its strengths but also its quirks haha @@Turnipagenda
Very cool. I have many film cameras. Most I got for free or for very cheap at thrift stores. Selling what I do not use. Keeping what I do use. And I have quirky cameras as well. I love analog technology. I use a mini dv video camera as well. The cassettes look like mini vhs cassettes. I love analog technology.
Yeah most of my cameras + analog gear are bargains I’ve found, I loveee a bargain. I have a canon XL1S minidv cam that I won for $80 in unknown condition, I took the gamble and bought a battery and everything works! Well besides the tape deck, I need to fix it so it’s a tapeless setup for now. I’ve used it for video work but also as a live feed camera for my CRT TVs for photos for props and also for my glitch art. This is another thing that I do I want to cover soon!@@thevoiceman6192
No but I’ve wanted some, especially any with night vision for a spooky effect 👀 Theres also a glitch gear maker that has glitched a couple that I actually really want to add to my arsenal @@thevoiceman6192
Absolutely love seeing other photographers collection, and you have an an amazing collection! Just subscribed, can't wait to see what you add to the collection!
It’s always so interesting seeing what others have gathered over the years. I’ve always been hungry to find new and unique tools to add to my creative belt. Thanks for the sub!
You know, you've inspired me to actually use my Polaroid Mini-Portrait camera ... I have just enough FP/Pola that I just need to go for it if I make it special. And this was fun!
I've got a K3 but it seems to eat/destroy film, even though the previous owner showed me reels that were shot with it where the camera was fine. I'm now thinking the film was bad but 16mm is also so damn expensive :C
Ahhh that sucks, I haven’t had any issues with mine. I do find there is an art to loading; the tension, making sure the film is actually locked in, always double checking movement before closing the door. The first time I tried to load I made mistakes and ended up with what I call “film spaghetti” inside. Does yours still have the loops or have they been removed? @@theothertonydutch
Not all Australians share the same accent, I believe most people when they think of the Australian accents are more likely to hear the east coast, which is still very broad in terms of range. We have three different types of accents; general, broad and cultivated, but a huge range of dialect. I feel like Perth is very different because of how isolated it is.
