    Thanks for this. Be great if you could include t size for sump plug, oil filter and coil pack!

    Every second oil change, drain original oil, before you remove the filter put some engine flush oil through, drain then refill with fresh oil and clean filter it'll remove a good percentage of the crappy oil out of the system

    After you put the oil in, run the engine so the oil goes thru the filter, then check the dip stick again🤙🏾 good video lad

    Nice job, the sump plug only needs to be nipped up - around 10Nm, it has a rubber o ring 👍

    You cannot change the fuel filter on a petrol astra. Its in the tank and built in to the pump assembly. Its a pain in the arse but just chuck some injector cleaner in and give it a blast

    • @ProjectDriven
      @ProjectDriven  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah thanks you. Had no idea that's how it was in the Astra

      @P Mc might just need an engine flush. How long is it since it had an oil change?

    Hi mate do you have to tighten the sparks with a torque wrench to a certain torque

    • @ProjectDriven
      @ProjectDriven  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I think there is specification for it but as long as you don't do it too tight you'll be good 👍

      @Redblade I'd say they're too expensive for what you can get for the same price. A load of awesome sports cars come under 10k and even more are under 20k. I'm assuming the new astra is somewhere around 10k ish. I have no idea lol

    • @ProjectDriven
      @ProjectDriven  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Redblade Sorry, I wasn't judging it by the old one, I'm sure it's far better. It's just sinking 20k into a new astra isn't something that I'd be interested in. A lot of old cars excite me more which is why I have a 1992 mx5. Not just because it's cheap, but because I find it fun.

      I do 70 miles a week and spend £40 a month on fuel, they are a good run around but the gear ratio needs changing, I can sit in 5th gear doing 30mph the gearing is so low and on the motorway it's 'reving the head off itself, in saying all that it has needed nothing for the past three Mot's. This time I need to replace an anti roll bar bushin and it's passed again. Not bad cars just terrible gearing.

    • @ProjectDriven

      I can't remember the thickness u used to buy because I sold the car. But, just make sure you get some quality oil

    • @MrRohanThomas
      @MrRohanThomas 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Use 5W40, I wouldn't put 30 in or your hydraulic lifters might start rattling, not good idea to put thinner oil or even thicker oil, use what oil the engine needs and online says this 1.4 uses 5w40
