"A publishing mistake" really means "We saw what the response was, and didn't want to hear anymore about it", which in turn means they'll go and rethink another way of trying to force us.
I think they are having issues right now with the data brokers they promised a lot of data from over a billion people: they are 63% below target and they don't know how to fix it. Next step: "We'll pay you if you upgrade"
WIn11 24H2 messed things up. I used one of the win11 colour filters to enhance facial colours to look super healthy and to turn the colour of grass and trees etc., to how they look when it has just rained recently. Everything looks great. I also adjusted my TV colour settings to assist in this since my TV is tied to my computer also. Then came 24H2. Now blues looked pink and everything else was shot as well. 24H2 had added a "Intensity" and a "Colour Boost" slide adjustments to the filter section, and the default settings were in no way the same as original filter settings prior to 24H2 filter settings. It took hours and hours of playing with the two variables to get things back to the enhanced normal.
Not planning to go to Windows 11 when 10's support ends. Period. For Microsoft to force me to buy a new PC when I have a current working one, but without the TPM 2.0 and newer processor is great for the industry's pockets, but not mine. Linux is on the horizon unless something better comes from Microsoft.
I'm running Linux Mint, and it works just fine. My system has secure boot and TPM 2.0, but according to Microsoft, my processor was too old even though it clearly meets their security requirements. I want to thank Microsoft for their greed because without it, I wouldn't have even considered Linux.
I wonder how much Windows 11 is impairing new PC sales. I mean I had considered a PC upgrade last year, but I didn't want Windows 11 and my current PCs are still good enough for what I mostly use them for, so I decided against a new PC. If I could get it with Windows 10 or if Windows 11 didn't have so many downsides, I probably would have gotten a new PC.
@@KiraGaming-e2l I use a Windows 10 laptop for online stuff. Not sure what I'll do in the fall. My windows 7 PC though is way more stable and compatible with the stuff I really use.
@lestrangemd Upgrade laptop to win 11 or if you can't upgrade stay on win 10 . Btw if stuff you do on your laptop work on linux, i recommend to switch it to linux . I'm using linux mint debian edition on my gaming pc .
MS should of made a standard W11 without TPM 2.0 requirements keep the secure boot just not any AI and recall or extra features and backtrack the UI back towards W10 was but updated to maybe some of 23H2 features, but non of the 24H2 and keep it as that, but give security updates regularly. Then offer W11 Copilot version for those that want the Ai and Recall and the garbage 24H2 features and that can have the TPM 2.0 requirements and secure boot etc... They may have a better chance of people wanting to actually install it and use it then. As it is they will be saying goodbye to their lead in the OS market from October 2025. 👋bye.
Public outcry changed their minds. Just make it free until June 2026 or December 2026. Or give us Win12 for free to just the 11 bus, that said, I'm not finding 24h2 to be horrible on the computers at work that upgraded, I didn't even notice until a few days ago, maybe because I'm running Education, I'll have to get some personal Pro 10 machines upgraded and see how they look. Our laptops were held at 23h2 with the tool Chris Titus (and others) makes.
my laptop passed most of requirements but not the cpu(my laptop had i7-7500U CPU) I did bypass the requirement checks,as of now I don't experience any problems on my machine (I mean the slowness is there since win10 because I only have HDD Storage) but any software or windows crash?not at all,in fact,I experience these bugs when my machine is on Win10,and most often my laptop wont boot at all😂,now win11 fixed that issues, ofcourse I did a lot of troubleshooting on it on win10 version and even clean install the OS itself, nothing happens,as an IT(Web Dev) Student, laptop or PC are one of our must have😁I install 24h2 on my unsupported cpu machine btw
They playing mind games with the gullabile 😂😂😂. I know a couple of people on windows 8.1 they have extended support till end of 2026 . So tell me again how quickly will they cut end of support for windows 10 pro.😊

Free game with update
Because then the game will run. Lol
Bad deal. Don't take it.
This is the second time that they did this regarding the same topic in just a few weeks!
I'd guess that would become the case once Windows 10 comes to end of support (including support continuation licenses).
LOL they are complete clowns. Just a joke of an org in terms of being able to communicate clearly. They have NEVER been able to communicate clearly.
Similarly, they recently pulled Support article on "how to upgrade to Win 11 the unofficial method".
Very useful, thanks!
Most people dont have pcs that meet the minimum requirements. This is a ploy to brick older devices.

Nah... installed it yesterday and had 3 crashes on W11 24h2 then installed Linux mint 22 and have audio ussues via HDMI, going back to W10...😂

They need to open up the W7 --> W11 free "upgrade "window again. Still a bunch of people on W7
People that are still on win 7 will never upgrade to win 11 , even for free .

I have to pause it like three or four times from updating Windows 11 and my storage
publishing mistake, rooooiiight lol .)
Along with the Microsoft 365 subscription debacle, add this one to the list, all this from one of the worlds "leading" companies !!!
It's always been a free upgrade, 7 keys activate 11 still!
