Is it possible it's one of those high disposition lines most of us never hear because we don't exactly spend a lot of time chatting up random guards that aren't related to some sort of quest? Another video uploaded to this channel shows off a guard offering to ignore their crimes and pay off their fines, and considering the guard in this video immediately turned around and sat down for a drink without attempting an arrest I'm inclined to say this is probably a similar situation.

strange, i never got this dialogue after 300 hours of play. When I tresspass the guards in the tower simply run up to me and say I need to leave.
I'm not sure if the dialogue could happen in Vanilla Oblivion. I've installed many mods, some with cut content / dialogues. I think this one is like "Stop! You've violated the law!" following with the 3 dialogue options: resist arrest, pay gold and go to jail. It didn't work properly it seems. Maybe my game got a bit broken too...

@@delta2372 Not in my case, with 110% reflect physical damage my altmer archmage could just punch a couple of guards in some barracks and I could go afk while they kept swinging their swords against me, hurting themselves to death.

@@delta2372 After 100 hours I conceived the perfect build. A 100% absorb magicka reflect damage lv 52 altmer. He had 100 in each stat, except for luck. Only things in the game that could kill him were arrows (easily avoidable with 100 speed) and fall damage.
A pity the stats of enemies in Oblivion scale with yours, so every ogre and goblin champion I met had a huge healthbar and the benefit for killing one a that point is none.
The funniest run I had though is a level 2 one with max destruction and melee skills, a glass cannon against main quest bosses.

I remember a time when I used the Cowl of Nocturnal (mask of the Gray Fox) for it's Feather effect to get some goods to merchants in the Imperial City. I used Invisibility immediately after walking through the district gate, preventing the guards from actually attacking me.
However, that split-second of them being hostile to me was enough for a passing member of the Thiefs Guild to become angry at them and attack them. I tried protecting the thief, and failed, the thief dying.
In the resulting battle, many guards fell and the streets of the merchant district were lined with their corpses. I emerged victorious and sold all their armor.

Ok I just checked, it's not AI, it's a real line in the game but only by guards in the Imperial Palace
He doesn't arrest you right away because if he does, then he can't savour the thrill of chasing you down.

My favorite thing to do in Oblivion is put poison apples on the dinner plates and wait for the guards to eat. They never get wise to that trick

Hey, how do you make so much of this stuff happen? Do you just wander around recording until something stupid happens? Or do you set it up with console commands and weird specific glitches?
To be fair its oblivion. This kind of thing usually happens about once every 15 minutes.
I often use glitches and special mods. Sometimes console. I also just walking around and weird stuff happens, but most of the time it isn't _that_ funny, so I use some of those clips for compilations or just don't upload them.

1) Announcr to a person that you are a guard and that you see them trespassing.
2) Do absolutely nothing else about it.
3) Refuse the person you just “caught trespassing” the ability to talk back to you.
4) Literally sit down casually
5) Claim you’re on duty

I’m a viewer and I love my job
In all my years of playing Oblivion, and getting caught trespassing more than once, I never had that tick up at all in my crime stats, and I've never heard this line. Either trespassing is just bugged, or I'm guessing you modded this to fix it?
