Biggest thing during growing, is there are going to be days where you hate it, but just ride it out, keep growing, and tomorrow is a new I love it day!
I've been growing out my beard for the first time in my life. 6 months in now and I ain't going back to being beardless ever again...😎 I love Beardbrand (Alliance), you guys make great content. Keep it up!
I like the new approach Eric has taken with his presence on the channel. He is a lot more open, relaxed and delivers the message in a fun way. I have been subscribed for the past 4 years so I can see the new positive vibe coming from Eric. Keep on growing!
I love this vid because Eric clearly doesn’t take himself too seriously and has already grown beards, tweards, and everything except the neckbeard (without the face beard). Thanks, Eric! Keep On Growin’!
I'd rather see him do the same thing as Eric and shave everything off...not that annoying moustache and stubble...itll grow back in a few hours anyway😂😂
I'm a first timer, started on newyears-eve and enjoying it so much! So many positive reactions from people, it's truely a joy . Mine seems to grow out alot fuller then I thought and am really anxious of how it will look next year. It's all about patience and enjoying the path as you go.
Good advice, I began growing in November and managed to get 60 days into a 90 day challenge with great results, and one little seed of second guessing myself on new year's eve was enough to result in my shaving it off. Fortunately, I snapped daily photos, looked at the development and opted to begin again a few days later. Thank you for all the beard and grooming videos, the support and motivation, Eric. Hope to visit Beard Brand next time I'm in Austin. 🙂
I started watching this and immediately made like two brash comments in a row about how this guy is stupid for talking about beards when he doesnt currently have one, then I continued to watch and was intrigued, continued some more, deleted my shitty comments, watched a little longer and was inspired. This dude does not need to have a beard at all times in order to be an expert on the topic and he goes far beyond just "growing a beard" in what he is talking about here. not trying to get all dramatic here but his message really truly goes so far beyond growing a beard. it has to do with self image as a man or young man coming of age, dealing with others perception of what THEY think you should look like and learning to disregard that and be true to yourself and exhibiting whatever image you choose for yourself at that time and the value of making mistakes and learning from it. These are are just such important things for any man to be aware of. my shitty comments will never be seen my anyone because I deleted them but I still feel like an ass for writing them. this guy is really a pretty cool person and worth listening to.
I’ve been Traditional WetShaving for about 6 years and I use everything between vintage Gillette safety razors from the 1930’s - 1960’s, modern ones, single edge, Shavettes, traditional straight razors, so I know how to shape up a beard: starting in November I grow my beard and around March I’ll be BBS for the spring and summer.
Thanks Eric. Great video from a guy who knows what he's talking about and is passionate about it. Beard or no beard currently. Keep up the great work. I have definitely learned to appreciate Beardbrand.
Thanks Eric. I'll have to look for that utility balm, and I'm inspired not to mess with cutting lines until at least a month in, this time around. Cheers
In general, I agree about not shaving the neckline and cheek lines early on. However, mine comes in pretty good in exactly two weeks. I use a beard ninja beard tool to line up my neckline. My cheeks have a natural 'line' in them when I bend my head sideways and I go by that when lining them up.
I wish...there could be a beard brush, where I can load beard oil into it and when I use the brush it would dispense beard oil onto the bristles as I apply (slight) pressure on my face.
Love it, I’m 20 and I’m trying to grow a beard and so far my upper lip and chin grow the best so I’m rocking somewhat of a circle beard until my sides catch up. I’m just gonna rock with what I got and what looks best right now. My middle portion of my mustache will probably fill all the way in, in a couple months. I didn’t even think I could grow what I have right now until I actually grew it out past a month. Now I surprised everyone I know and they’re wondering where it came from. In the beginning, it wasn’t all positive and remarks but I told them hey bear with me, I’m trying to grow it out. I’m pleased with what I have right now but I’m certainly not done growing. I’ve really only been growing for almost 2 months. Been shaving the sides though.
looks good to me from what I can see in the little thumbnail pic. at 20 you have a good look going, I just had a thin mustache and a goatee at that age then as time went by more came in enough that I could let it grow without it looking too thin and scraggly. I think you are on the right track with the idea of working with what you have at the moment and shaving the thin areas at the sides and whatnot. nothing wrong with a goat and stach especially younger dudes look good that way. I am 41 now and the full beard works for me, but it didn't always.
Two years ago Beard Brand launched the yeard with Jack Miloco. I began on that journey at that time also. I participated in the program even posted a photo of my beard for evaluation. That was 27 months ago. To date no length has been removed, only a few wild hairs have been trimmed with scissors and the cheek line have been evened by a professional beard barber. At this time my beard had reached 16 inches measured from my lower lip. At the present my plans are "to let 'er grow."
I'm 3 months into Beardbrand products. During the process, I have added other names to the mix. I can attest to the quality versus the "competition". The only question I have-what happened to the relaxed cool Eric? This fella is really zippy-by that I mean super over caffeinated but I am now scared to shave in case he is taking notes. Grow on now.
Not touching it is the key! brush it twice a day and use beard oil. Because I have a habit of touching the right side of my mouth right below the corner where it’s real thick and I start to rub against the grain and pull at it and give myself irritation
There's one thing that (not only you but essentially no one) you don't have a video on which is how to rock a beard braid. (It's not the first thing that comes to mind when you think about beards but I think it would look cool)
Rule of thumb when trimming the neck and cheek line is if you can snip more than two hairs at a time per snip then leave it alone. Just go after the lone rangers
I think a week by week bread lesson series would be cool.example week one- this is what you are going to do this week( wash your face and let beard grow, week 2- wash your beard separately from you hair and face, let it grow, con tinue up through time to trim
Ive lost count of how many times ive ruined my beard shaving my cheek lines too low. My hair grows almost to my eyelids so ive gotta shave the darn things before a month or I start lookin like a caveman
Love it m8 I'm 39 I had a big bushy beard then I got a job in a bacary had to cut it off I hated the job now ive got a new job and a year in a good beard but not as good as it was but time will tell thanks from uk
Entertaining, informative and funny. Laughed out loud several times. Have been enjoying Eric's videos and learning as I grow out my first full beard ( 3 months now, no trimming yet) after goatee/circle beard for 20 years. Picked up some Beardbrand products too. Thanks for the cool, fun, informative videos.
Eric, I LOVED the Mindful Professional WRESTLER Persona, You Garnered for this VIDEO. Always Insightful, Always Helpful, Always Beardbrand. Keep On Growing 🤓👍❤️
I started growing my beard about 3 months ago, it’s 2 inches.... but my mustache won’t grow over my lip, and it keeps curling up at my jawline, and the two spots on my bottom lip won’t grow. Just the center grows. It’s slowing down on growth 😞

Hi Eric, I live in Brazil and we really miss good grooming products, i know a lot of friends that would really like to have beardbrand products. Is it possible to ship to Brazil?
I would really like to see a video when you and Carlos ate peppers with the crazy danish Pepper dude.... I saw a part on his channel....; your face was that of PAIN and suffering....probably a medal worthy event. Just got some BeardBrand wash today....to be used later. I think the best advice from BeardBrand I ever got: DO NOT touch your beard for 3 months....I used to start at week 2.....and by 6 I would shave. Cheeks: i do trim 10 hairs per side.... Have grown full beard now x2....at month 7 it starts to cry for a trim
I admit that I have mustache envy when I see you, Greg, and Carlos. It's not so much the length that I'm jealous of, because mine covers the upper lip. It just isn't dense enough. Oh well, guess I'll rock what I have. But you did say it takes 6 months for a stache to grow to it's full potential, right?
I´m now in the process of letting my beard grow out but I am trimming it every two weeks. I just trim the crazy hairs. I don´t shave it off. What I´m doing, or think I´m doing is giving the baby hairs the opportunity to come out, and just trim the longer ones. Does that make sense? I think I´m the right path. Please help.
I'm about a 4 to 6 weeks in still can't tell what my full potential will be. But my hair grows slow Im one of those guys that only have to shave once a week but could go 2..but it's coming just waiting on my right cheek to fill in more can see the hairs coming out
I've been growing my beard for 5 years, the hair is growing thick and it curls..what product would you reccomend..tried different products but can't find one the helps long term with the curling..any suggestions? Thanks!
I don't know if you guys have already covered this on a video, but... Would you guys please elaborate the right ways to tell if me beard is healthy or not? Thanks in advance
I would start with this blog post. It covers how to keep your beard healthy! www.beardbrand.com/blogs/urbanbeardsman/how-to-make-your-beard-soft-healthy-and-comfortable -Mack
Oh God! Shaving his beard has made him a little crazy! Seriously, though, I've made the mistake of trimming. I see something is off and next thing I know I shave it off completely. Also, I can testify to eac beard hair has its own growth speed. On month 5, I have a couple of hairs that look like they have been growing for a year. On the other hand, I have a few that are just now starting to grow. When I had a beard fir a year and a half, I actually had hairs that refused to grow until after my year mark.
Hi Eric, question for you if you have a moment it I would feel highly honored. I’m on the 2nd month, my cheeks , although sparse, have even distribution across my cheeks, but it’s just not dense. My goatee and mustache is thick, looks good. In short because of the sparse hair I still see skin across the whole of both cheeks. Furthermore my hair is a grey and blonde mix. Is there a chance this will fill in in the next month or two? Thanks you so much in advance !👍🇺🇸
I do the rule of thumb. Works great. Now I got a beard that usually gets people complimenting when I'm out. Wife never wants me to make the mistake Eric did going clean shaven. Lol I can't be the only one that thinks they look like a moblin when clean shaven. High chin, So odd. Lol

Lol
