Did you mount the brackets first? I have the same bars for my 2008. I installed the brackets first and am having trouble lining the bracket openings up with the rocker panel bolts.
@@jeffjackson8591 I installed the brackets to the bar loosely and then installed the whole thing onto the truck and tightened everything up afterwards.
I got a TAC board as well but it was a flat style and it did use all 3 mounting points. That one is oval and maybe they felt it was rigid enough to only have to use 2 pts but yes it makes sense to use that 3rd mounting points. Funny thing I was going to get this one at first.
Thanks for checking these out. I put these in my Amazon wishlist about a month ago. I would actually rather put rock sliders there but they cost considerably more . What model and year Frontier do you have?
@@HeikosGarage Great. I also have a 2017 SV 4X4 KC w/ 6' bed and TAC makes them to fit the king cab but, tbh, I don't need the step up help (I'm 6'2") so unless I get the truck seriously lifted it's purely cosmetic.
Just got some powder coat carbon steel Aries from rock auto for my 2019 frontier rock auto is the place they never disappoint I only get the best for my baby..
@HeikosGarage Thank you. I don't have the vehicle. I'm picking it up tomorrow, and I was curious because it's getting sold to me with the side steps. And I didn't want to crawl under there and drill. Thanks again.

I have a 2017 Nissan Frontier. They fit pretty well and seem to hold up.

Dude, we're the hall's pre-drill underneath?
That was the whole reason I was watching it.
Just get under there. There are mounting studs pre installed by Nissan. You won't miss them. They are right there in your eyeballs.
