@SirHairless hiii i love you reaction thanks for your reaction to Iu she good singer in Korea and she doing duet song whit Agust D or Suga he's member BTS can you try reaction to IU and Suga he have 2 song , name song is : People part 2 and eight I hope you try reaction people part 2 and eight And try to reaction BTS song like : Mic drop Dope Fake love Idol Run BTS dance practic Yet to come Please try reaction that my recommended song ok thanks
IU is high in Korea and Asia and she just finished her world tour last month. She doesn’t box herself in any genre and constantly comes up with new styles even all her songs in same album are so different. She is one of the best song writer, composer, producer, actress, show hostess, etc!
I'm a BTS fan, so I don't really follow IU, but she has to be the most famous/most beloved female soloist in South Korea and has been for over a decade. She's also good friends with several BTS members :)
One interpretation of the mv “In Love wins all MV, IU's character appears to be deaf, using sign language, while V's character is portrayed as blind in one eye. Fans theorized that the cube-shaped machine targeting the characters specifically, targets those marginalized and classified as differently-abled”. Differently-abled people are just as capable of normal love, as seen through the camera though. Society does not give them a change to just be ‘normal’.
Hello, could I ask you a question please? IU being the one who has a speech or hearing disability is a theory or was it said by some official source? I'm curious about that.
This is such a beautiful song and very moving. IU asked V to act in the MV, which was shot a week before V entered the military. IU is friends with quite a few BTS members. Thanks for the reaction.
There is a Behind the Scenes for the music video, but the Behind for the Recording of this song might be of special interest to you… she’s a real pro and did it when she was sick, after other attempts, and following MV shoot where she got the flu… Rolling Stone rates her one of the greatest singers of all time, like 135 as of a few years ago
Thank you so much for this reaction. Without exaggerating, IU is possibly the most famous soloist in Korea for the last decade. Would you believe that she was also super sick when she recorded Love Wins All? Here's the behind the scenes, if you want to see more of how she uses her voice: th-cam.com/video/S-hEbBXf4wY/w-d-xo.html For background, the song was composed by Seo Dong-hwan, one of the members of IU's band, who play with her in her show Palette. The lyrics are by IU. Um Tae-hwa, a well known film director, directed the MV, which explains why it's so cinematic. Tae participated as an actor as he and IU are good friends, you can hear them sing together on Palette: th-cam.com/video/ebu2cxRXU-I/w-d-xo.html The duet is Ending Scene, another song by her I really like. I would love to one day get a duet version of Love Wins All. 💜
Welcome dear sir to the vast and amazing world of IU. I won’t say much, but I’ll just tell you that few people would disagree to he statement that IU is one the greatest, most iconic, most talented Korean artists ever. Facts about her would be easy to google up so I won’t talk about those but to recommend a few wonderful IU songs you may find interesting, My Sea -just mindboggling. It is an extremely complex and diverse song with so much happening inside it both instrumentally and vocally. I’d say it is probably the best song to understand the vocal talent of IU. Coin -A very unique song by IU, showing her diverse musical style. This song is unlike any of her other songs and it involves a number of interesting points to discuss. This song is probably just about the opposite of Love Wins All. Unlucky -Very bright and bouncy song with extremely peculiar chord progressions. One of my personal favorites, and I believe it will be very fun to analyze, due to its tight arrangement. Looking forward to all your future videos! Again, thank you so much for doing the channel.
Enjoying your knowledgeable reactions, thank you. One thing i appreciate is that when you have a question you just go and look up the answer, rather than asking for a response in the comments. So much better since it means that you are better informed during your reaction. As others have mentioned, both IU and V have acting history, though not in the same shows. V was in Hwarang (a historical drama) and IU in multiple shows. Her best in my opinion, was My Mister, my favorite tv show of my lifetime (and I'm old).
IU is the most successful, famous and loved female Ksoloist along with V they are called the national treasures. This MV turned upside down to sk and was huge impact along all SNS, the filming, the story line, their acting all was high quality … She’s an amazing artist, I suggest you to react more from her discography you will love it, also I recommend you the live performance of V debut album LAYOVER at Tiny desk Korea it’s amazing !
Hi and thank you for your reaction. no apologies needed, IU is the Fairy Queen of the Korean music industry, but she has not been overly interested in the western market up until this year. However in Asia is another whole different story. Her resume over 180 songs, over 70 self composed (including this one, lyrics) nominated to 321 awards wining 134. Because you are a bit familiar with BTS, Suga said "we can not talk about Korean music, not just k-pop but the whole Korean music industry without talking about IU, that's a fact". since you're praising her voice I'll just add not bad for someone worryingly sick at time of recording. This is a good sample of her talent but make no mistake, she can sing anything, and do it great and live performance is so good people have hard time deciding if the live version is better than the studio one, maybe you need to check her live singing.
I watched this video the day it was released, and several times after that. Every time, it left me devastated. I hadn't seen it again for many months, but watching it just now with you, once again I have tears flowing down my face. A big part of that is the way IU sings. Her delivery, combined with the cinematography of the video and V's incredible acting, make this performance hauntingly beautiful.
As always, your analysis brings greater understanding and appreciation of the music and vocals. Thank you for sharing your wonderful ability to hear the exact movement of the melody and harmony in the song. I am quite envious of your talent and knowledge. ❤❤❤😊 kind regards from Rae in New Zealand 🇳🇿 ❤
I would love to open a Victorian music box hear this beautiful piano melody and IU's crystal-clear voice. She's waltzing in a circle with V... Lovely intro--🩰🌸
I got to know IU from Suga BTS, they did a collab for 2 songs, Eight and People Part 2. You are correct both IU and V are friends. Her voice are amazing during live concert. I got the opportunity of watching it quite closely she didn’t disappoint one bit. Such an amazing vocal and performer.
IU is as big a star as BTS in Asia. Maybe even bigger because she started before them! If Taylor Swift was also a multi-Oscar winning actor in addition to writer/performer, that would give you an idea of her level of stardom. And like Taylor she is also half of a super-mega-molten hot couple (along with her very accomplished actor partner Lee Jong-suk). There are some very cute videos from BTS early days of the members fan-boying over her. Her concerts are legendary, sometimes lasting 5 hours. Suga of BTS has two songs with IU: her song "Eight" and his song "People Pt 2".
Oh. My. Goodness!! You just keep hitting all of my favorites!! Dimas, Forestella!! And now Kpop artists??!! I had no idea you had done any Kpop!! YAY!! Blessings from your Louisiana ladies barbershop singer!!
I am NOT crying. Again. How they lived and were courageous in their last moments for each other shows that their love does win all. As usual your breakdowns help me appreciate the music even more. Thank you for checking out IU. I hope this is a beginning of an IU journey. This song was written by a member of her band (Seo Dong Hwan) that accompanies her particularly in her music show Palette.
She actually is pitch perfect. Sounds just like her recording when singing live, or even better. She’s very different from the usual K-pop sound & likes to explore different genres (jazz, bossa nova, ballad, pop, folk, R&B). Her being a lyricist/composer/producer and placing much emphasis on musicianship, I think you’d like her music.

IU is like the Taylor Swift of Korea. great singer and song writer! In addition to that she has acted in a few dramas and movies that were big hits and she has won awards for. She also hosts a program called Palette which is very popular.
IU has a hugely diverse catalog of songs. She writes a lot of her own lyrics and works with the same producer since 2008. A lot of the musicians that work with her are also long time friends and colleagues. From hip hop to ballads and jazzy songs, she is versatile even though her voice is quite angelic. She is friends with BTS members and has collab songs with rapper Suga. BTS V sang a duet with IU of her own song Ending Scene in IU's TH-cam show Pallete.
So they are in a kind of apocalyptic world, the cubes are dangerous, they are k*ll*ng people. And if I’m not mistaken you were right about the cubes representing social media, I’m not so sure but I’ve heard something like this before. In the MV she’s mute and V is blind on one eye, when she covers his good eye at the end she’s trying to protect him from seeing their end 😢
V supported his Noona (older sister) IU by playing a role in this song. Yes, they are friends with this playful sibling vibe. They are both good in acting. IU is known to cover many genre of music and had collabs with Suga.
I'm sure so many people told you already but IU and V did sing together on a show she hosts in which the guest sing, it's one of her song, Ending Scene, they turned it into a duet especially for the occasion and they sound incredible together (it's also a good way to see her sing live for the first time!) th-cam.com/video/1a3-A6ae2sc/w-d-xo.html They filmed this a few weeks before this MV, they are pretty close friends
you should react more of IU! She's a great musician. I would recommend “My Sea”, “Dear Name”, “Eight”, “Through The Night” for a start. Hope to see more of your reactions to her!
Ok, I'm done making silly jokes about the circle of fifths. I am glad you chose to react to this MV. I would have liked to see IU's concert but it sold out before I could get tickets. She's a legend! And I believe she had brochitis when she recorded this -- how she managed not to cough up a lung during the recording, I don't know. I love the concept, the lyrics, the visuals, the melody, the execution of the song ... just wonderful.
IU is a Korean icon as both singer, songwriter and actress. Has been a beloved star since her debut in 07. She actually was very sick for this recording but V was scheduled to go into the military so the recording and filming could not be delayed.
Korean songs will often if not always include English word in the lyrics because except their traditional Korean genre every other genres developed in Korea after the Korean War. Due to the presence of American military bases in South Korea the populations got to know more about English music and discover new music genre that they tried to mimic. They were also a lot of military that offered English classes at the time if I remember correctly. So the first gen of Kpop were heavily influenced by America in their music making and then everyone started to include English lyrics to their song until now.
When I saw you react to Standing Next to You I started thinking of other Korean songs for you to react to. This was near the top of my list! so glad you found it!
V has some songs similar to this style (although they are lower and slower... not very similar but something... ), like "Sweet Night", "Scenery", "Snow Flower". If you have curiosity haha
One of the most perfect songs and MVs it’s just hauntingly beautiful. Her voice is simply wonderful. I’d recommend her song produced by BTS member Suga, Eight. V from BTS was one week from military enlistment when he did her the favor of taking two very intensive days to film, she is friends with several BTS members. The director is an award winning movie director she has worked with before that really brought high quality to it but it’s all her idea.
About the use of English: This goes back to around World War II and the Korean War. Korea saw a lot of foreign influence from France, England, Japan and the US. With foreign products coming into Korea, foreign words came along too. At various times, there was push-back where new Korean words were introduced too, but then you could end up with two or three commonly used idioms for the same thing. And Koreans do not necessarily use foreign grammar practices when they use foreign words. If you hear it, you might think their usage is wrong, but really it's arguable. If you think about it, just because a foreign word is brought into a language, there is no reason to bring the whole grammar with it. As for IU's use of foreign language words and phrases, I get the feeling that she uses what fits best into a song in terms of rhythms and maybe sounds. But if a foreign word is well known in Korea, she might use it as a form of emphasis, and maybe to stretch the song's market a bit. These songs often become popular in Taiwan, Japan, and other Asian countries which might not know Korean but might recognize the English idioms that she includes.
She would be the top artist like most popular singer in South Korea over the history, cuz she is now covering like teenagers to 70~80 years old people.
Great reaction. She is the national daughter. So famous in South Korea. Beautiful singer. I am going to keep mentioning that you absolutely need to react to Zhou Shen. An amazing Chinese artist. He is one of the most popular singers in China. There is nothing he can’t sing. His voice is indescribable. A natural contra tenor. Check out his latest songs. Decoded is his original soundtrack from a Chinese movie titled Decoded. His live performance from TMEA award ceremony is astounding. His version of the song Silence of the Lambs from a music variety show introducing new songs using famous singers. He does an amazing version of Memory from Cats and Time to Say Goodbye. His Italian is impeccable. He always sings live. His pitch is perfect. His tone sounds like a meditation bell. You won’t regret it.
IU is famous for her live singing sounding even better than her studio singing. She hosts her own web interview show where she exchanges songs with her guests and they do live covers of each other's music to a live band. One BTS member on her show commented that the guide track she sent for him to follow sounded like the finished product rather than a rough draft.
So happy i've found your channel ! This a very interesting analysis about chords and beats. And this is exactly what i wanted. Thank you so much for this. I'm only discovering your channel and already found some other brilliant artists like Lara Fabian. I was a fan decades ago with other "divas" like Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Tina Arena, ... I'm glad they can be remembered. These days i'm approaching 50, and to my surprise i'm more into k-pop. There are wonderful songs (and artists) to discover in this world. If you want to continue to hear IU, i strongly suggest to see IU - My Sea (golden hour concert). This was also requested in your comments. I love some very simple down to earth songs from her like Autumn morning (breathy a capella), or Drama. If you want to see a better range of this artist, you can search IU - killing voice (18 minutes of pure happiness) which was made 3 years ago (this shows multiple sample from her songs in a chronological way) If you're into ballads with vocalists, i can suggest other artists from korea, like : Lee Hi - Breathe Jeong Eunji - Being there Kim Sejeong - Flower way AKMU (duet brother sister with the wonderful lee su hyun) - How can i love the heartbreak you're the one that i love ; or another song like Last goodbye. Lee su hyun - in your time (it's okay to not be okay drama ost) Wendy - Like water Taeyeon - I Yuju - Play Bol4 - to my youth Song Ga in - photo of my mind / My heart's picture (crash landing on you ost) with arirang influences Onew x Punch (duet) - way (there is live version aswell) Fromm - Firefly If you want to hear surprising structures of songs, i can't recommand enough Lee Jin Ah - Rum Pum Pum I know you have quite a list of songs to analyze, but i hope you can check theses gems, even if you don't want to make a youtube video about. Thanjk you again and good day
Hey Sir Hairless and the Patreon you wanted the reaction, thank you for the great reaction. Very interesting analysis ! Its a bummer, that you did not include the recording video here, it would have been insightful to get your opinion. IU 'Love wins all' Recording Behind | Jieun's last(?) recording: th-cam.com/video/S-hEbBXf4wY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SfbwDqxoVwxJLFfu
Shes is considered a number one of solo singer in korea for last 10 years or more, since 2012 she win every awards when she launch a album or mini album or just single song. You can check "IU The golden hour 2022" concert. She not just a great singer, she is a wonder girl, friend, artist, employ, cheef, coworker and very very love she´s fans, thats why so many korean and peoples love her, she is so kind for every people. Check this "My Sea" from 2022 concert : th-cam.com/video/nn1pbxe8bAI/w-d-xo.html
Yes. In the video she is deaf and he is blind in one eye. According to her company statement the cube represents the judgmental society, especially on those with disabilities. We see that they are the only ones left, meaning the cubes deemed everyone flawed and inadequate. In fact, even in all the damages around them, the mannequin was left untouched. The video lens removes the reality and lets them see everything as perfection. I definitely don't understand the title...as love didn't win... lol but I guess it pertains to them having each other, even if only a little while. Enjoyed your analysis and breakdown of the song and appreciation of her voice. V had to leave for military service and left lots of little surprises for ARMY, like appearing in this video for IU, in which they both did a phenomenal job.
Thank you for sharing & reviewing this song. IU is a fantastic artist & a wonderful actress. This song is quite beautiful & for me ethereal. Her collaboration with V from BRS makes the song even more special. Per info found online the song/video shows the power love holds even in the worst of times, when everything, including yourself, is breaking down and no longer able to hold on. The two characters' love for one another is truly unconditional, and they're willing to get ruined
Thanks for your very interesting reaction, IU is a very talented artist and V a.k.a Kim Taehyung, my bias in BTS, is a magnificent singer but he wants to be actor in the future and IU offers him acting with her in this MV. This two have an extraordinary chemistry I hope to see them in a Korean drama in the future. 💜
You should try to watch her live performances, she is a gem. She is a telented musician, a song writer and lyricist. Her ballad songs are gem, but her cheerful and up beat songs are also addicted to listen. Actually, she is on of Korean musician that I wish will do a collaboration with Dimash, to write their piece of musical peotry
IU invites popular singers to her show. She usually sings one of the guest’s songs live on her show ‘Palette’. Or the guest sings one of her songs. Sometimes dueting. Listen to this song being sung by D.O one of the members of the group EXO. She joins him in a duet for the last verse. th-cam.com/video/uFM9Q_eLNbw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=4SAl61xpfihzer-J Her authenticity is noticeable there.
Pls react to more iu songs if you have time, she's one of the biggest singer in s.korea music industry in the last 15 years or so. Some interesting song to analyze : lilac, through the night, and maybe eight ...
For some context of why V is in this: Basically V also acted in some k-drama and is generally known to get acting calls he rejects due to his music career. However, since this was before his military enrollment and he had some free time, plus he is friends with IU he decided to take on this project, but from what we were told it was a pretty last minute call.
May I suggest you check out AKMU. They are a brother-sister duo. The brother writes most of the songs and rap, while the sister Suhyun sings. She has a clear and pure voice that reminds me of tinkling bells (one of s.korea best young vocalists). They have a song featuring I.U calls Nakka. My fav song of theirs is How Can I Love the Heartbreak
As friends, IU sang with V, Kim Taehyung live, on her own show and told him that with his voice, beautiful honey, airy baritone, he could perform a duo with anyone. He has performed before hundreds of thousands but is still shy of receiving compliments from his peers.
Beautiful voice and a beautiful song too. I am not very fond of music videos because they sometimes destroy the story that is in my head when i hear a song, but they are part of the musical culture these days. I still prefere listening to music, not watching music 😉 but it´s interesting sometimes what thoughts might be discovered behind the words of the song through the story of the video.
Yes when I listened to this song a number of times after filming, it was music-only whilst I was working. Just as you said, it's certainly interesting to see such a cinematic video with an independent story though! 🎥
Asian music, such as kpop, jpop, and so on, as well as reggeaton, Spanish music, have English words in their lyrics. I think it adds to the music and helps appeal to wider audiences. I loved growing up, listening to reggeaton and finding an English work. Felt like an Easter egg. Love ur Dimash reactions and ur analysis. Glad to see you reacting to BTS and IU. ❤💜❤💜❤💜
OMG - I was going to say this was really lovely..."I film you with my eye"...but I was left feeling quite disturbed by the ending. A really pretty voice, though. I've been watching Chinese and Thai singers that were in the Shine! Super Brothers challenge that Dimash was part of and am frequently, now, using a translator. You don't need the words, really, when the music is great. It is fun to see those relationships between the competitors grow. Some great solo and group performances.
The director of the "Love wins all" M/V, Eom Tae-hwa, has released an interpretation guide for the song. IU also shared her thoughts on the song with her fans. Together, they can be used to interpret the content of the M/V as follows. * Cube: oppression, discrimination * IU's lip piercing (speech impediment), V's crippled eye: shows the difficulty of communicating with the world * Camcorder: Filter of love (a very important device that allows the protagonists to see beyond their inner and outer selves to a whole and happy world) * Wedding dresses, tuxedos: represent the "fruits (results) of love. * People dressed in black: People who interrupt and heckle the main characters who are focusing on each other and having a happy time (can also be interpreted as IU's anti-fans) * Male protagonist (V): can be thought of simply as IU's lover. But at the same time, it can also be interpreted to mean IU's fans (she said that she is not afraid of the end of her singing career and wants to finish her singing career in style with her fans afterwards) In the final scene of the MV, after their physical bodies are destroyed by the cube, the wedding dresses and tuxedos worn by the main characters fall to the floor, symbolizing the social formality that we consider important and meaningful in real life, and suggesting that it is not the essence of life. This scene can be seen as the main characters being liberated from the oppression and discrimination they face from society. Director Eom Tae-hwa said that he welcomes various interpretations regardless of the M/V interpretation guide.
@@SirHairless 'Love wins all' is basically a fan song that IU dedicates to her fans. It's not meant to speak for people with disabilities, but rather as an analogy. There was a small hiccup in South Korea when a disability organization misunderstood the MV and complained to IU and her agency through the media, but it all worked out well. The album that contains this song is IU's 6th mini album, which was released earlier this year. It spawned four faithful MVs, including 'Holssi' and 'Shopper', and it's rare for a singer to pack so much color into one album. It's clear that this album will be remembered for a long time, at least in Korea. The other MVs are also of high quality, so you won't regret watching them, and I personally liked 'Shopper' almost as much as 'Love wins all'. Thanks for the interesting review video, and have a great day.
I love your reactions! You can see IU recording this song on her channel. I think you would love to see she singing "My Sea" live on her concert, it's a beautiful song. IU does a lot of styles, the video "Killing Voice" is a good option to see her versatility. Links bellow: th-cam.com/video/S-hEbBXf4wY/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/nn1pbxe8bAI/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/wDfqXR_5yyQ/w-d-xo.html
Addendum: Does anyone know if IU and Kang (Pitta) have ever sung a duet together? I've been listening non-stop to IU with this video intro. And a few other beautiful collaborations... But I long to hear IU and Pitta sing and harmonize together, even if they have to write a (perfect) song themselves. Perhaps if I wish upon the first evening star for a fortnight, it may one day happen. ⭐💌
Kpop artists use English words and phrases to appeal to a larger international audience, since the Korean market is small. Westerners tend to think of Idol music (BTS, Black pink) and Kpop as the same thing. Idol music is one genre of Kpop; it also includes hip-hop, indie, R&B, etc. While western pop music developed after WWII in the era of radio, Kpop began in the 1980s, and developed in the age of television and the early years of MTV. This is why there is a large visual component to their music projects. It also helps bring in more international fans. V had been a guest on IU's TH-cam show called Palette in September 2023. At the time, V was promoting his Layover album and was going to be starting his mandatory military in a few months. Later, IU and the director of the MV were trying to figure out who could play the male role in the MV. It occurred to IU, that V had the qualities they were looking for. They filmed the MV the week before V reported for military training.

Can you react to Jimin's video behind the scenes of Muse making the album? There are lots of raw vocals from Jimin
IU and Tae sang together a IU's song called " Ending Scene" on her TH-cam channel
I’m addicted to that performance. Really love it
IU is high in Korea and Asia and she just finished her world tour last month. She doesn’t box herself in any genre and constantly comes up with new styles even all her songs in same album are so different. She is one of the best song writer, composer, producer, actress, show hostess, etc!
She is K-Pop living legend
I'm a BTS fan, so I don't really follow IU, but she has to be the most famous/most beloved female soloist in South Korea and has been for over a decade. She's also good friends with several BTS members :)
I love reactions like this where people give us an actual music breakdown. Its interesting and helps
me appreciate the song more
Thank you 🙌
IU is an actress as well as a singer. Watch her in dramas such as My Ahjusshi, and Hotel Del Luna. V also acted in a drama called Hwarang.
She was brilliant in Hotel Del Luna ❤️
I was fortunate enough to see IU in London earlier this year. She was amazing and sounded as good, if not better live.
Did she show the Alternate Ending?
@@anitralarae_mahjacat Yes! And the audience loved it 💛
Amazing!
The director of the video, Um Tae-hwa, is an award winning short and feature film director. This was his first music video.
One interpretation of the mv “In Love wins all MV, IU's character appears to be deaf, using sign language, while V's character is portrayed as blind in one eye. Fans theorized that the cube-shaped machine targeting the characters specifically, targets those marginalized and classified as differently-abled”.

For background, the song was composed by Seo Dong-hwan, one of the members of IU's band, who play with her in her show Palette. 💜
You reaaaaaaallly have to watch her actually recording this track. She has a SEVERE cold. And yet she slays
My first time listening to IU and really liked her voice :) Thank you - and the Patreon who requested the video - for this lovely experience!
This is a stunning piece and the video is perfect . So very interested in your thoughts , I cried and love this 😊
Welcome dear sir to the vast and amazing world of IU.
I won’t say much, but I’ll just tell you that few people would disagree to he statement that IU is one the greatest, most iconic, most talented Korean artists ever. Facts about her would be easy to google up so I won’t talk about those but to recommend a few wonderful IU songs you may find interesting,
My Sea -just mindboggling.
Would love to see more IU reactions. She is amazing, and I really appreciate your insights.
Her best in my opinion, was My Mister, my favorite tv show of my lifetime (and I'm old).
queen IU
she is a singer, writer, producer, host, actress, charity angel and sooo much more
IU is the most successful, famous and loved female Ksoloist along with V they are called the national treasures.
Beautiful song, sad story, great analysis.
This is a good sample of her talent but make no mistake, she can sing anything, and do it great and live performance is so good people have hard time deciding if the live version is better than the studio one, maybe you need to check her live singing.
the director of this MV is quite famous Movie director in South Korea. he's famous for like post-apocalytic, post-modern thing.
I would love to open
a Victorian music box
hear this beautiful piano melody
and IU's crystal-clear voice.
She's waltzing in a circle with V...
Lovely intro--🩰🌸
IU is brilliant is My Mister. Top notch actress.
More than bts please
@@faravhd i would say that iu might be bigger than bts in korea, literally EVERYBODY in korea knows iu, and im a hardcore army
Oh. My. Goodness!! You just keep hitting all of my favorites!! Dimas, Forestella!! And now Kpop artists??!! I had no idea you had done any Kpop!! YAY!! Blessings from your Louisiana ladies barbershop singer!!
U must watch her live performances, they’re insane !!!
Agree, hope he starts an IU journey too. IU actually wrote this song, but her keyboardist composed the music.
the way this song manages to make me cry every damn time lmao
IU is THE biggest star by far in Korea and has talent that is boundless

Спасибо вам большое за реакцию ❤❤❤❤❤
So they are in a kind of apocalyptic world, the cubes are dangerous, they are k*ll*ng people. And if I’m not mistaken you were right about the cubes representing social media, I’m not so sure but I’ve heard something like this before. In the MV she’s mute and V is blind on one eye, when she covers his good eye at the end she’s trying to protect him from seeing their end 😢
They represent the fact that unless you are perfect as an Idol you will be hounded by the media.
It's nice to be multilingual where u can choose the language that sounds best in a phrase. English also has an international reach.
V supported his Noona (older sister) IU by playing a role in this song. Yes, they are friends with this playful sibling vibe. They are both good in acting. IU is known to cover many genre of music and had collabs with Suga.
IU and V are just amazing, she is just incredible as singer and actress
And she recorded this song when she's not well that day!!! Beautiful voice by IU 💜❤️💜❤️💜 and V also give a good acting here 💜💜💜
I love how much effort you put in the reaction, i dont know shi* about piano, but I loved to see your explanation.
Never seen her or heard of her - very soothing song - it would be great at night to relax to that.
🧘🏽♂
Beautiful!! Love your honest reactions ❤💜💜
I know when she recorded this song she was sick with the flu Sounds beautiful
Could you react to
Through the night by IU
This is one of my favorite songs from her
Such a haunting voice/song/music video… so good.
IU tiene una hermosa voz. Tiene canciones de mucho generos , personalmente me gustan sus baladas llegan al corazon ❤
I'll need to listen to her sing live!
If you want to see a better range of this artist, you can search IU - killing voice (18 minutes of pure happiness) which was made 3 years ago (this shows multiple sample from her songs in a chronological way)
If you're into ballads with vocalists, i can suggest other artists from korea, like :
Lee Hi - Breathe
Jeong Eunji - Being there
Kim Sejeong - Flower way
AKMU (duet brother sister with the wonderful lee su hyun) - How can i love the heartbreak you're the one that i love ; or another song like Last goodbye.
Lee su hyun - in your time (it's okay to not be okay drama ost)
Wendy - Like water
Taeyeon - I
Yuju - Play
Bol4 - to my youth
Song Ga in - photo of my mind / My heart's picture (crash landing on you ost) with arirang influences
Onew x Punch (duet) - way (there is live version aswell)
Fromm - Firefly
If you want to hear surprising structures of songs, i can't recommand enough Lee Jin Ah - Rum Pum Pum
I know you have quite a list of songs to analyze, but i hope you can check theses gems, even if you don't want to make a youtube video about.
Thanjk you again and good day
Hey Sir Hairless and the Patreon you wanted the reaction,
thank you for the great reaction. Very interesting analysis !
Its a bummer, that you did not include the recording video here, it would have been insightful to get your opinion.

Looooove this..
And also watch V with Rainy Days ❤
You should try to watch her live performances, she is a gem.
She is a telented musician, a song writer and lyricist. Her ballad songs are gem, but her cheerful and up beat songs are also addicted to listen.
Actually, she is on of Korean musician that I wish will do a collaboration with Dimash, to write their piece of musical peotry
Maybe i can suggest to you something, that also bring the goosebumps. Jimin - Set me free pt. 2, or Who. Big thank for your great job
IU invites popular singers to her show. She usually sings one of the guest’s songs live on her show ‘Palette’. Or the guest sings one of her songs. Sometimes dueting. Listen to this song being sung by D.O one of the members of the group EXO. She joins him in a duet for the last verse.
th-cam.com/video/uFM9Q_eLNbw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=4SAl61xpfihzer-J
Her authenticity is noticeable there.
Thank you!! Please react to IU’s my sea
I don't really hear kpop but I LOVE IU 💜
Beautiful voice and a beautiful song too. I am not very fond of music videos because they sometimes destroy the story that is in my head when i hear a song, but they are part of the musical culture these days. I still prefere listening to music, not watching music 😉 but it´s interesting sometimes what thoughts might be discovered behind the words of the song through the story of the video.
Yes when I listened to this song a number of times after filming, it was music-only whilst I was working. Just as you said, it's certainly interesting to see such a cinematic video with an independent story though! 🎥
Our king Kim taehyung take the mv to another level he is amazing ❤
* Cube: oppression, discrimination
* IU's lip piercing (speech impediment), V's crippled eye: shows the difficulty of communicating with the world
* Camcorder: Filter of love (a very important device that allows the protagonists to see beyond their inner and outer selves to a whole and happy world)
* Wedding dresses, tuxedos: represent the "fruits (results) of love.
* People dressed in black: People who interrupt and heckle the main characters who are focusing on each other and having a happy time (can also be interpreted as IU's anti-fans)
* Male protagonist (V): can be thought of simply as IU's lover. But at the same time, it can also be interpreted to mean IU's fans (she said that she is not afraid of the end of her singing career and wants to finish her singing career in style with her fans afterwards)
In the final scene of the MV, after their physical bodies are destroyed by the cube, the wedding dresses and tuxedos worn by the main characters fall to the floor, symbolizing the social formality that we consider important and meaningful in real life, and suggesting that it is not the essence of life. This scene can be seen as the main characters being liberated from the oppression and discrimination they face from society.
Director Eom Tae-hwa said that he welcomes various interpretations regardless of the M/V interpretation guide.
Thanks for this! Was wondering about the lip piercing - thought it was just her being trendy
💜

I love your reactions! You can see IU recording this song on her channel. I think you would love to see she singing "My Sea" live on her concert, it's a beautiful song.
IU does a lot of styles, the video "Killing Voice" is a good option to see her versatility.

FYI, this song was recorded when se was really sick! Se put her all in it, there’s a video of the recording
Addendum: Does anyone know if IU and Kang (Pitta)
have ever sung a duet together?
I've been listening non-stop to IU with this video intro.
And a few other beautiful collaborations...
But I long to hear IU and Pitta sing
and harmonize together, even if they
have to write a (perfect) song themselves.
Perhaps if I wish upon the first evening star
for a fortnight, it may one day happen. ⭐💌
If you want to know how good she is, I highly recommend "rain drop"
Her picth is really crazy accurate
8:33 you can see the video of her recording the song on studio, she was sick at the time too.
🙋🏻♀️1st audience! 😂

Check out Love wins all IU and D.O duet. Thank me later. 😘
