I knew this mv was going to be excellent, but I didn't expect it to move we all like this. The tenderness (almost innocence?) between them was so disarming. And then the hopelessness of it all... I was so immersed that I could feel their fear and despair.. V and IU's acting and chemistry are so excellent. I loved the fact that Taehyung was not the stereotypical fearless male lead. That man was terrified (he acted it so well!!) and that made everything, including his moment of bravery, feel even more real.😢

Same with me! Also her first lines are already so emotional and impactful. Add to that her beautiful voice, you can really feel the heartache through the screen 😢 Then the buildup to the chorus was insane. I love this song and mv with all my heart

You should definitely see the behind the scenes of it from IU and BTS chanels. You can appreciate the MV more because their sacrifices and major efforts just to push this MV through. Both of them are so passionate and dedicated to their craft and that's what makes this MV more magical aside from their top tier acting skills and IU's wonderful vocals.

IU is one of the most popular and the best soloists in Korea. Her songs are really really good. Her voice is so beautiful in every song. Literally every song ❤. Plus her songs just feels magical because of her voice. She's the best out there

IU is amazing singer and the top female singer in Korea. She is also an amazing actress and has starred in so many Drama’s. She is dating a very popular Korean actor who is extremely handsome as well. She has done two songs with Suga which are also great. Taehyung has acted in one drama in 2017 but is keen to pursue at some stage. It was a beautiful MV it’s such a shame these do not seem to make the Grammy list because they are pure art.

The Cube represents society, it is chasing every individual who doesn't fit the standards of society. Here V is half blind, IU is deaf and mute. So they are running from oppression of society. The world is controled by these standards of perfection to the point that people in the world put masks on when they don't have make-up or when they feel inssecure or they wear hats when their hair is messy. The MV is a dystopian view of our society. While they are trying to hide in this abondonned place filled with the clothes of people who died because of this oppression, they find a camera that allows them to have an illusion of what their lives could be if they were "normal" by society's standards, it starts with their looks, they could see how they would have looked like, then what they would eat, then they start to feel the illusion a bit too much to the point they beautifully imagine that IU could sing and V could sing as well and she could listen to his voice, they could marry each other and just have fun and eat whatever they want because they wouldn't have to care about society or any other kind of oppression. However, as soon as they feel a little bit of confort and try to live their life, the Cube (society) finds them again and push them to retreat and flee again, but the Cube managed to find them again, they try to survive against it and try to fight it as hard as they can, but they cannot beat a stronger system, they just give up but at least they stayed together until the end. Even if they died at the end, they loved each other deeply, it shows that even if society is oppressive, people can love each other and they can find their soulmate even if they are not "normal or perfect" to the eyes of some many others. The pile of clothes is like from Spring Day, these people died because of injustice, but they deserved love, so the pile of clothes can look very gloomy and sad, but as in Spring Day MV if you don't forget them you can seem them happy and free where they are right now...

Guys you need to see the behind the scenes from IU's channel and bangtan tv. Tae was really singing to her during that wedding scene and its beautiful 😭. Also they ran almost 7 hrs and filmed in v harsh conditions u need to check it out.

Trust me, we all cried when watching this. 😭 And I cried multiple times again watching reactions. Tae's acting (both of their's really) left me speechless, and IU's voice was perfection! There's two behind the scenes videos, one on her page and one on Bangtan's if you want to react to those! They give a lot of incite into the making of (honestly they worked in terrible conditions), how V was casted, and their genuine friendship and chemistry together.

By the way, you might not have noticed this in the clip, but the character IU is deaf. She communicates with the Taehyung character using sign languages. At the end, when Taehyung falls from behind the cube and IU hugs him from behind, Taehyung takes IU's hand and she taps his shoulder three times, which means "I love you" in sign language. This makes the clip even more dramatic.

And on IU Palette with V confirmed it too, she said that she heard from various sources that he received lots of acting offers but he couldn't take them although he was grateful because he had to release his solo album first. But he said he will take on offers (after military) if opportunity comes up.
