In some cases more powerful than a white shark? Orcas are more powerful in every way. What an expert.

I was thinking the same thing. At almost almost 7 tons when fully grown and female killer whales reaching 4 plus tons a killer is certainly more powerful all the time. I was thinking the guy clearly isn't updated on wildlife

As far as pecking order on the food chain. Orca has no competition, the fact they eat great white shark livers, that's profound. There isn't a single record of a great white attacking an orca. Orca is not just more powerful, it's absolutely superior in every way.

Yeh, he’s definitely not an expert. All you have to do is watch shark week and you’d k ow more than he does.
I don’t think it’s and anomaly. There are some documentaries showing that orcas were hunting great white in false bay and they sharks all but disappeared for the area as a result.

I bet orcas have been attacking great white sharks for thousands of years. The headline should be: "Massive increase in use of drones and people studying marine life shows orca attacking shark"...
...due to Milankovitch cycles, there has been a very small increase in some sea temperatures, in 200 years, but that cannot be a factor since orcas and GWSs have occupied the same waters for thousands of years.

That's nothing new, in summer 1977 in the film titled Orca starring Richard Harris & Bo Derrek, I viewed a killer whale at beginning of film ram a great white shark out of the water in the same manner that flipper the bottle nosed dolphin 1960's tv show would also attack sharks which were usually either bull, tiger or lemon sharks to name a few. But, I wonder if a cookie cutter shark has ever bitten any killer whale.

Orcas have been attacking sharks before we were here. A study was done regarding attacking of boats off the Strait of Gibraltar, Spain & Portugal. Come to find out the boats were all built by a husband and wife owned boat construction company. Or boats for being serviced by their company Their design is evidently giving off a harmonic frequency that the orcas did not like.

Grandmothers like Sophia are the heads of their pods and take great care to teach and care for her grandchildren. Later in the documentary the pod caught a dolphin. Sophia stayed behind to watch a young granddaughter while her sons and granddaughters did the hunting. Again the pod shared the catch.
