I didn't call them beforehand, and we were upgraded but I'm not sure why. I have Hilton Gold status

Yes there is A/C. We were there during the wet season so it was very hot and humid
Did you have a sunset view by chance in this room category?
No we didn't have a direct sunset view, but I didn't feel deprived where we were. Still so easy to watch the colors

Very good restaurants, just be prepared to pay a lot for food. It's quite expensive
