Hello beautiful, this was a great video. My favorite was you wanting to take a better bike 😂 The professional pictures were awesome. Excellent tips on Rx, medical Tx, and reservations for special occasions and activities. You looked stunning for the Polynesian party night. The $ breakdown was helpful, thank you so much. 😘😁
The wife and I went to the St. Regis in 2016, stayed there in a over water Bungalow for 5 nights in May of that year, and 4 nights at the Hilton on Moorea in a over water Bungalow. I can say it was the first time we didn't want to leave and head home...ever. Would love to go back again at some point. Bloody Mary's is a must while in Bora Bora! We are going to the Cook Islands this April into May, really excited about that. More laid back, less tourist.
Wow this was just the video I wanted to see ! Perfect I had a feeling Four seasons was probably better . And to have a pure and honest opinion is a gift ! I have to say you are always beautiful but you looked like a goddess on the polynesia night , sooooo pretty ! Thank you for your inspiration in all you do x
Oh my goodness thank you. Can I follow you on twitter? I’ll go look and see thank you. I’m horrible at X. I have two accounts over there my larger skincare one and then this newer concept of spa and tell. This is truly so kind of you
Great video, Kim! I love how much information you manage to include with fabulous visuals that truly add to the points you're making. That's, sadly, a rarity, but you've mastered it. And you're entertaining. Most importantly, you're sincere, honest and give a balanced appraisal. I'm not going to Bora Bora any time soon - probably never at this point - but if I were planning a trip, I would find this a very useful video!
I think Far Niette is an awesome name for a hotel there. Although I’m pretty good at doing nothing for 3 days without spending 13K 😂 very beautiful, though, and an outstanding detailed review, great job as always, Kim
Very nice video. St. Regis is beautiful and big, but the smaller Intercontinental seems to have a better view of Mount Otemanu. Does the Four Seasons or St. Regis check your bags for snacks and food? Are there items they do not allow? Thank you :)
They never checked our bags for food. The four seasons is much better than st Regis the layout and grounds are superior. I want to go back and do this split between the four seasons and the Conrad on the other side. Conrad is suppose to have the best breakfast on the island.
@@SpaandTell the only part i would have cut back on is the food. i think you said it was over 1,000 a day . good god what did you eat ?? lol if i went somewhere that far away it would be no expense spared. not that everything had to be first class, but any extras that i wanted to do would be done. also the plane, oh yes business class. shoot, that would be a vacation in itself. i think it is amazing that you can do this. i have a lot of pets so no can do. BUT when the gang i have now is in heaven, not that i want that. and it wont be for a good 7- 10 years, i plan on a 3 month africa wildlife vacay. not so much to see the culture, i am big into animals. so i want to hit the congo and trek with the mountain gorillas. it costs a nice chunk of change but all of it goes to pay rangers and buy equiptment to keep them safe from poachers. so i am 100% for whatever it costs. then down to watch the serenghetti animal migration. cant wait, even tho it wont be for a while i already have an itinary. lol
@@SpaandTell thats a vacay those kids will never ever forget!!! those memories will all be there, and better yet they will each have their own favorite things that they saw, heard, felt that they were touched by. a kid on a african safari, now thats an amazing childhood. the cool thing about africa is you can go from country to country to see the different species. mountains in the congo for gorillas, and then the plains for the wildebeest and migrating animals. then over to botswana for the lions, and elephants. i cant wait. i am not for sleeping under the stars with them like some people do. for me thats an accident waiting to happen. a human dies and then an animal is killed for being an animal. so hotels only for me, BUT they have killer ones. this one is bullt right in the middle of the action but is built very high like a giant treehouse. lol. so when you wake up and eat on the patios you may very well have a giraffe eating right next to you! my big splurge will be a private touring with a guiide. i do not want to travel with the freaks who wants to be able to film the ugly side of nature. you know the ones who want to see things get eaten and or be torn up by crocs, or lions. i know thats how nature works i dont have to see it or god forbid film it. i want only to see the majestic stuff. no ugly stuff. thats going to cost me a bundle by is a for sure for me.i dont want to go until i can stay a long time. it will prob be a one time deal for me, and i dont want to rush, so i am planning on 3 months. and yes it will easily be 100,000 + thats ok, i have been saving for years. will be worth it. thanx for sharing. your video got me charged and thinking about my plans.
@@SpaandTell the only thing that makes me prefer the st regis is the fact that it was quiet. my idea of any vacation is the fewer people the better. i work with people, so being more on the alone side sounds much better. i am not into the spring break crowds or like the mardi gras chaos.
It’s interesting though our spring break rate wasn’t the highest in fact people have commented how I got the bungalows for those rates bc they are up since I went but idk. In the end I obviously spend a lot of money and I go to lost of expensive places around the world. For me it was the food that really felt lack luster for me. Let me put it this way, there was not a single dish I ate in bora bora that I needed again.
I would recommend it. It's a private island resort with only 35 rooms, and is where Barack Obama went to write his memoirs. And they offer an all inclusive option. I think you both would love it!
Sucks that you even need to put a disclaimer out there. Please people, can we just not judge and just enjoy the content. Thank you for the vid. Glad you enjoyed yourself.
Great video Kim, well we stayed at ST Regis in February 2023 and 2022 for 5 nights each time. We used points to stay and we got upgraded. All your comments are very correct, property is dated, beach is not as good as it looks on the picture (not even close to Maldives) as there as so many coral sends so you need water shoes. Another thing, it may sound shocking but we got literally robbed there as someone (cleaning staff most probably) took money from our luggage (so they went to the length to figure out where our money was). We only figured this out when we came home as some money was unaccounted for and our friend also got robbed too. Good news is that management refunded our money, no questions asked. That is real problem at St. Regis. We also stayed at Conrad Bora Bora and that hotel is amazing (no mt Otemanu view but hotel is new and truly fantastic).
Thank you so much for confirming my experience. The theft thing is so interesting. This makes more sense to me now, I left my Rolex and ring by the bed when we went to the beach. They made a big deal and left notes and told the management that I wasn’t locking up my valuables. I thought it was extreme, because although yes I was being lazy, in mind I’m thinking this staff all lives here and it’s not like it’s easy to pawn or not be found out who was in my room. The cash is an easier lift. I had no idea that they must have a theft issue. We want to return and film at the Conrad, it looked beautiful from the water when we circumnavigated the island, and I heard their breakfast is the best…what did you think? I was not thrilled with any breakfast I had while in Bora. My favorite breakfast buffet is in Asia:) I also want to film the Pearl that is much less than these options but I’ve heard really great things about it. We loved our time at the four seasons bora bora so I know we will need a few nights there too 😂🥰
I don’t get it either…I think this is what really happens. Bc St Regis is a bonvoy Marriott property, people use points. You have to pay cash at the Four Seasons so people who actually are spending cash will go to the four seasons…those who are exchanging points will go to the st Regis. I wanted to try them both so I could see which was better and we paid cash at both of them. If we did have Marriott points I could see splitting the week but I still prefer the four seasons much more
@@SpaandTell Ok interesting. Thx for the explanation. A negative St Regis review said that their peace was ruined by loud locals from the island next door which is literally 50 yards away. Horrible!
The world is definitely upside down, spending this amount of money it’s really offensive with so much more alternatives in the world. There are so much people in need, which don’t even have money to eat…
