I can’t believe this actually just came in my recommendations. Man I miss the D1. It just always felt so mysterious and back then I always felt like there was always something to do/discover. Even if you’d done everything the world just had that feeling, like you just didn’t know what secrets you might have missed.
Dear Future guardians, R.I.P. Touch of Malice. 2015-2016 This weapon is useless after the 2016 September nerf. No reason to get this weapon anymore.Just go get the Outbreak Prime instead.
Touch was barely used in all of Year 2 which is a very different thing when it comes to Gjallarhorn, Thorn, Eirene (1 shot). Touch had barely any use in year 2 at all. Just because it's nerfed now doesn't mean those same players can't bypass specific areas without it.
Not when there are better options. People who say "touch is still good" are the ones who just want to have a tiny bit of hope that the gun is still good just cause they want to keep the weapon relevant.. But the fact is it's useless now. No point to get it after it got nerfed.
Love this entire DLC, grinded the heck out of it back in summer of 2016. So many memories. My friend is just starting to get into destiny 1 and with that, is getting me back into it. It's so cool and so nostalgic to be able to go back and replay all these great memories and moments by helping him through it and being with him as he experiences it all for the first time.
What I loved about this gun is that you had to go through this whole process including doing the raid in order to get the gun and then it ended up being one of the best guns to use at the end of the raid. Being immune at the boss fights at the end meant you could fire this thing at double damage without taking any damage and it worked really well at boss dps (or at least if a few of your fireteam members were using it)
A lot of people saying that you don't need to go into the raid to get "The Old Hunger," that's fine and all. But the point still remains that you do eventually need to go into the raid and kill all of the bosses to be able to get the weapon, you can't skip that part at all. I apologize for anything incorrect, but I had a very limited amount of sources to find out what quests you did and did not have to do, especially considering there are so many. (For example, it took about an hour of discussion to find out if The Road to King's Fall quest was actually needed to do this quest. It is not. If it was, then that means players would need to complete the meta quest "Blighted Worlds," which means players would need to complete essentially ALL Taken War quests before they could even have a chance at this weapon.)

Weapons and especially armor were quite uninteresting beforehand without the current mod and upgrade system. Destiny 2 subclasses even to this day are still boring and overtuned, like Well of Radiance which basically makes every boss encounter a joke. We didn't get any strike specific gear like we did in TTK. I can't remember the last time I did the Riven fight in the raid the actual way it was meant to be done. Those are just a few examples. And most importantly of all, Forsaken was a lot like Taken King, but for Destiny 2. The most important problem therein is that we already had a Taken King experience. I want this game to improve drastically, not take a few steps back before they can take one step forward again.

I did all 3 quest, even the actually exotic weapon quest lost and found, and I when I returned to Petra when I finished she didn't give me the gun. Lmfao thanks destiny I waisted around 4 hours with that shit.
So basically, an insanely convoluted series of steps to get a weapon that it is questionable whether or not it's anywhere near worth the effort. Yeah, it's definitely a Destiny Quest Exotic.
+Thenextworldwar I think it's going to break pvp, it will 2 shot people more than likely as long as you get one head shot. Sure it hurts you a bit, but it won't matter if you can two shot the enemy. Also your probably dead if you get 2 people on ya anyways. It's gonna be worse than the thorn easily, at 60 damage a normal critical on a scout, which mind you is on the low side that's 120 damage so 2 headshots will kill since you do 240 damage average players hp is 200. And like i said that's on the low side, some scouts can get up to 90+ damage a crit. It can downright almost one shot players if it hits 90 damage.
+NvS this will sound dumb, but you we need to get 45 fragments and I know a way to check how many you have. tntmamba327 the guide is outdated because it's about the fragments you just need to collect fragments to unlock the old hunger quest you only need to run the raid once (to get the ravenous heart etc) you just need to get 45 fragments and then the final missions unlocks
For some reason, I unlocked the essence of the feast mission on Mars during the period where the quest stops cold. Weird huh. Oh well, only one more CF to go!! :D

tntmamba327 the guide is outdated because it's about the fragments you just need to collect fragments to unlock the old hunger quest you only need to run the raid once (to get the ravenous heart etc) you just need to get 45 fragments and then the final missions unlocks
For some reason, I unlocked the essence of the feast mission on Mars during the period where the quest stops cold. Weird huh. Oh well, only one more CF to go!! :D

Yes, it's defiantly worth it. Its like the sleeper, it's a PvE god in certain situations, and an all around fun gun everywhere else.
