There's a Chevy dealer near my house that keeps all the new Camaros out front, and down the road behind there there's a small garage and used car lot that always has cool cars, like two DeLoreans, classic British cars of all types, several 60's Fords, and even a legit Barris Family Truckster! That Monaco station wagon looked exactly like the one my parents owned when I was a kid. Two air conditioners, rearward facing third seat, power everything, and a 440 under the hood. Light yellow with the wood grain sides. Ah! The memories.
Wow never saw that Dodge commercial with Elliot. Her name was Pamela, don't recall her last name, and I hardly remember her, as my sister's quite a bit older than me, but I sure remember these commercials... She did them for a few years, and ws paid a fair amount for them as well, I believe....
The 68 Charger IMHO was far and away the best, but then maybe it's because of a life changing event that I experienced in a yellow 68 with black vinyl roof and black interior.
Chrysler Marine made an outdrive with a 340. There was even a Scat Pak outdrive with the 340 6Pk. Most other outdrive manufacturers were using smaller GM and Ford engines, even a Buick. Now for the Jet drives, 455 Olds, 460 Ford or seldom found 500 Caddy. (you say gallons per hour, not nautical miles per gallon) But no one had a 6 Pak.
Very Cool! I didn’t know they used 340 6-packs. I know Chrysler Marine used 440s. I know in the old unlimited Hydroplane boat racing classes some used 426 HEMIs!
So this clears up a lit, I thought the whole muscle car era was an after the fact kinda thing, like they made the charger and the fact it was a muscle car wasnt the marketing point, now I see different

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars, trucks and busses including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. They even plan to reduce the pump speed of public gas stations from 20 litre per minute to only 2 litre per minute to punish owners of combustion cars....from 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a completely new kind of crime here in Germany, called emissions and smoke crime.

I fail to realize how a vinyl roof on a car is associated with luxury? I think they look cheap and ugly. The whole reason all car companies put vinyl roofs on their cars was to save money. It was cheaper for them. So how is that luxurious?
