Well in my opinion & comment Chevy builds the most adaptable power there ever has been even for a hot rod they've knock Ford outta the box ever since 1968. As far as Ford Chevy and Dodge go in comparison these days they are in definite competing competition as to which one will rust away faster under the road salts in certain states. As far as Dodge they build the most ill riding most un-user unfriendly piece of shit there ever was or ever will be. Dodge can stick their Hemi power up their own asses if ya can't build a transmission worth a shit. They're all getting to be about the same. Nothing but heartache from the day ya take em home off the lot and the dealers more corrupt than Pelosi and Adam Shifty on their bullshit warranties... Dodge by far loses the market due to their own sheer stupidity. Dodge builds a potent motor with no trans behind it and little if any aftermarket speed parts.. Might as well call Dodge trucks Fiat Motors Inc.... Fix It Again Tony trucks..

Remember when dodge pickups and ramchargers had 2 doors and were made out of metal and steel how about the m37 and power waggon .the new rams arent dodges they are made out of plastic have computers everything is electric and they have 4 doors .no great loss time for dodge to step it up and bring back a 2 door metal and steel pickup and suv with no plastic like ford did with its new bronco .

Well there are many reasons, like inflation, higher manufacturing cost with safety features, better engineering etc. I do wish there were better options though.
If you got a diesel vs. Gasoline torque test, a diesel would pull 3x harder. The higher compression makes much more torque, not to mention the turbos and adding boost.
@@matthewmorgan582 yeah but diesels aren't shit without their turbo. What about having them both be naturally aspirated or put a supercharger on that gasser. Be a lot more fair then. In the end though unfortunately electric vehicles are the most powerful.

I have a 67 F100, and a 65 C10. The 67 is mine and the 65 C10 was my Dad's. Both with a 4 on the floor. The Chevy has a posi rear end, but I got laid by a red head in the ford. They need to bring back bench seats.

IF you could buy a compact pickup these days, you couldn't do it for less than $17,000 unless it's used. And while the price goes up, the quality goes down. This is true with Ford, Chevy, and Dodge. Awesome seeing those vintage commercials.
Bruh these old truck commercials are dope but we we aren't seeing are some of the legit weeiird old dodge commercials. Old Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth commercials had some of the most oddly fascinating surgically scientific showoffs tests that youd ever seen. Like they're were HELLA trying to sell you something - but it was all scientificly tested and almost felt detached. There's a saying of "Chrysler was king in the 60's" and it's due to how oddly and seriously their engineering was. Same reason why Mopars are always kind of left out of the whole Ford vs Chevy thing. They were doing their own weird ass thing that somehow kicked ass. But mannnn did that travel through some of their commercials. You wanna see a funny one check out the "Turboencabulator" where they make fun of themselves in their own style.
the turboencabulator video is not a production of chrystler or any other car brand.. bud haggert the guy reading the script came up with it, and shot it in the studio after doing a filming for some GM commercial as a joke since thats what all the scripts sounded like to him
Dodge is garbage always have been always Will be.100 years in and they still can't build a transmission or wire one correctly.we had a SRT with 7 miles on it come through, they said it's totaled,I said what are you talking about,it looks brand new,then I opened the door and it was gutted, the sunroof caught on fire in the showroom and almost burned the whole dealership down.

I highly doubt it would even come close to out pulling my 08 LMM deleted and EFI Live tuned Duramax diesel. She'll also do 0-60 in the 4 second range. Pulls 60 to 120 faster than most trucks going from 0 to 60. Gets 22mpg daily driving. It's my 5th truck and the best one I've ever had. Hasn't lost to a SuperDuty or Cummins yet and hasn't lost to a gas burner either.
You cant haul more than a chevy today. You might really like your truck, but a 292 isnt hauling the same as a new truck today. Not even anywhere close.

My Grandad has a 1974 Chevy custom deluxe 10 with a 454 motor So far is been pretty damn dependable because it’s the only truck in the family and it still kicks ass
Chevys are unreliable pieces of shit, I've owned a cavalier and a Silverado, my sister owned a traverse, and they have all broken down in the first 2 years of ownership, luckily we grew up and started buying toyota.
It’s probably because you all suck at maintaining them every vehicle will need maintenance and if they were made before Trump was president then that’s probably why , the 70s were a good year for Chevrolet trucks because things back then were made too last

IN all of the Chevy and most ford commercials they are compairing Chevy to ford but Dodge is never mentioned also the best dodge commercial is when they introduced the hemi in a truck

Like they stuck the V10 out of a viper into a little pickup because "why not" lol. Or the fact that while everyone else was throwing 4 bangers and V6s into compact/midsizes, they decided to say fuck it and put a V8 in the Dakota. Even to this day they say "why not?" And build some enthusiast's wet dream like a 1000 ho crate engine or a 700 hp offroad truck like the TRX that'll be coming out soon.
I don’t remember seeing but about maybe 5 or 6 Dodge trucks in our town until I was 25 years old in 94 which is the year they made that drastic body change or the love it or hate it years was what a lot of people said.Until then most of the guys my age had a Chevy stepside truck with the Choo choo customs ground effects and the fade paint job and they had the Ford flare side with the same choo choo ground effects on them as well. I haven’t bought a new truck since 2000 and I said that day I would never pay that much for a vehicle period. Well, I still have it and it’s got 148,000 miles on it. It’s a Ford F-150 4 4 wheel drive with that modular 5.4 liter v8 . I paid 31,600 for that truck and still haven’t bought another new vehicle. Yeah, I bought a used z71 and bought the wife a used Yukon gmc but nothing new. Everything I bought since has been at least 2 years old. I just flat refuse to pay 50/60,000 dollars for a new truck. I want one bad, I haven’t driven a new truck in years and I have to admit, the acceleration is amazing on all the new trucks, well the big 3 is all I drove. The ram was fairly quick and interior was nicer than my house.. The Chevy had a 6.4 liter and it had great acceleration and I love the new body style.The Ford was like a race car with a bed. It had the coyote 5.0 with a 10 speed and when you mash the go pedal you better be ready. That thing got 2nd and 3rd rubber on the 1/2 shift and the 2/3 shift. Still it was just a extended cab 4 wd and almost 50,000. The Chevy was about 46,999 and the ram was just a couple hundred dollars away from the Chevy. If I was going to buy that day I would have bought the Chevy.. Ford was just to much, looks wiseI would have bought the Ram or the Chevy but when it came down the power part, the hemi couldn’t hang with the Generals 6.4 but the Ram did have a gorgeous interior and it’s a great looking truck. I don’t know why I’ve. Sat here posting all this. I was just gonna fuss about trucks being overpriced. Oh well, maybe someone read it and get a laugh. Have a good day everyone.
That was early 2.8 V6 problems. They reworked the oiling system for them when the Fiero was slated to get this engine. The later 2.8L was a good engine The H.O version the fiero got was 130HP standard was like 120 HP. The isuzu Trooper in the 80's used the H.O. 130 HP engine. The HO used a crane cam that is where the extra HP came from.
Ford made a commercial where they put a dummy on a seat attached to the front suspension a drove over a bunch of fixed bumps to prove cab stability . But the dummy in the seat was almost shaken to pieces. Being a kid at the time, it was the most hilarious thing I saw and laughing so hard about.
Todays Chevy truck could pull a loaded 747 with it's thrust reversers going up a 11% grade through the Rocky Mountains. Don't even get me started on what a Dodge can do !
Yeah,Yeah you also had to go home or stop at a phone booth to make a call, Go to the bank to make a deposit or transaction, sit in your living room to watch T.V. and be there when it's on or you miss it. This is when 150HP to 300 HP was a lot. Apples to Oranges much.

I have a f150 8th gen, and it rode more than 600k miles. Was my grandpa’s truck, he bought secondhand in the 2000s... still runs really well, just recently had to send it to the shop cuz it was about time to give some maintenance. I could still use it though but chose not to.

I have a 67 F100, and a 65 C10. The 67 is mine and the 65 C10 was my Dad's. Both with a 4 on the floor. The Chevy has a posi rear end, but I got laid by a red head in the ford. They need to bring back bench seats.
Id take any of the earlier year trucks by any of the big 3 companies. Love the basic styling and also just simplistic ruggedness.

Bruh these old truck commercials are dope but we we aren't seeing are some of the legit weeiird old dodge commercials. Old Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth commercials had some of the most oddly fascinating surgically scientific showoffs tests that youd ever seen. Like they're were HELLA trying to sell you something - but it was all scientificly tested and almost felt detached. There's a saying of "Chrysler was king in the 60's" and it's due to how oddly and seriously their engineering was. Same reason why Mopars are always kind of left out of the whole Ford vs Chevy thing. They were doing their own weird ass thing that somehow kicked ass. But mannnn did that travel through some of their commercials. You wanna see a funny one check out the "Turboencabulator" where they make fun of themselves in their own style.

Me with a 1959 Ford with a 292 v8 and able to haul more than a chevy today
I have a '60 with a 292 Y-block, one of the best running trucks I've ever owned.
I highly doubt it would even come close to out pulling my 08 LMM deleted and EFI Live tuned Duramax diesel. She'll also do 0-60 in the 4 second range. Pulls 60 to 120 faster than most trucks going from 0 to 60. Gets 22mpg daily driving. It's my 5th truck and the best one I've ever had. Hasn't lost to a SuperDuty or Cummins yet and hasn't lost to a gas burner either.
You cant haul more than a chevy today. You might really like your truck, but a 292 isnt hauling the same as a new truck today. Not even anywhere close.

My Grandad has a 1974 Chevy custom deluxe 10 with a 454 motor So far is been pretty damn dependable because it’s the only truck in the family and it still kicks ass

Chevys are unreliable pieces of shit, I've owned a cavalier and a Silverado, my sister owned a traverse, and they have all broken down in the first 2 years of ownership, luckily we grew up and started buying toyota.
It’s probably because you all suck at maintaining them every vehicle will need maintenance and if they were made before Trump was president then that’s probably why , the 70s were a good year for Chevrolet trucks because things back then were made too last

IN all of the Chevy and most ford commercials they are compairing Chevy to ford but Dodge is never mentioned also the best dodge commercial is when they introduced the hemi in a truck

Like they stuck the V10 out of a viper into a little pickup because "why not" lol. Or the fact that while everyone else was throwing 4 bangers and V6s into compact/midsizes, they decided to say fuck it and put a V8 in the Dakota. Even to this day they say "why not?" And build some enthusiast's wet dream like a 1000 ho crate engine or a 700 hp offroad truck like the TRX that'll be coming out soon.
I don’t remember seeing but about maybe 5 or 6 Dodge trucks in our town until I was 25 years old in 94 which is the year they made that drastic body change or the love it or hate it years was what a lot of people said.Until then most of the guys my age had a Chevy stepside truck with the Choo choo customs ground effects and the fade paint job and they had the Ford flare side with the same choo choo ground effects on them as well. I haven’t bought a new truck since 2000 and I said that day I would never pay that much for a vehicle period. Well, I still have it and it’s got 148,000 miles on it. It’s a Ford F-150 4 4 wheel drive with that modular 5.4 liter v8 . I paid 31,600 for that truck and still haven’t bought another new vehicle. Yeah, I bought a used z71 and bought the wife a used Yukon gmc but nothing new. Everything I bought since has been at least 2 years old. I just flat refuse to pay 50/60,000 dollars for a new truck. I want one bad, I haven’t driven a new truck in years and I have to admit, the acceleration is amazing on all the new trucks, well the big 3 is all I drove. The ram was fairly quick and interior was nicer than my house.. The Chevy had a 6.4 liter and it had great acceleration and I love the new body style.The Ford was like a race car with a bed. It had the coyote 5.0 with a 10 speed and when you mash the go pedal you better be ready. That thing got 2nd and 3rd rubber on the 1/2 shift and the 2/3 shift. Still it was just a extended cab 4 wd and almost 50,000. The Chevy was about 46,999 and the ram was just a couple hundred dollars away from the Chevy. If I was going to buy that day I would have bought the Chevy.. Ford was just to much, looks wiseI would have bought the Ram or the Chevy but when it came down the power part, the hemi couldn’t hang with the Generals 6.4 but the Ram did have a gorgeous interior and it’s a great looking truck. I don’t know why I’ve. Sat here posting all this. I was just gonna fuss about trucks being overpriced. Oh well, maybe someone read it and get a laugh. Have a good day everyone.

Those early s10 blazers you could feel the bearings melt going over the pass.
That was early 2.8 V6 problems. They reworked the oiling system for them when the Fiero was slated to get this engine. The later 2.8L was a good engine The H.O version the fiero got was 130HP standard was like 120 HP. The isuzu Trooper in the 80's used the H.O. 130 HP engine. The HO used a crane cam that is where the extra HP came from.

Ford made a commercial where they put a dummy on a seat attached to the front suspension a drove over a bunch of fixed bumps to prove cab stability . But the dummy in the seat was almost shaken to pieces. Being a kid at the time, it was the most hilarious thing I saw and laughing so hard about.

I have a f150 8th gen, and it rode more than 600k miles. Was my grandpa’s truck, he bought secondhand in the 2000s... still runs really well, just recently had to send it to the shop cuz it was about time to give some maintenance. I could still use it though but chose not to.
