My parents caught me in time before leaving to school with my backpack on my back in the middle of the night 😨 I would wake up with household items neatly arranged on my pillow.. bruises and scratches on my arms and legs that i could not recall how i got them.. i woke up twice with my hands coloured redish orange, like you get after handling beats or carrots, or pealing oranges.. and many little clues indicated i must have been very active at night. A neighbour told my parents (that was 30 years ago, i'm 45 now) that he saw me walking on the ledge of my balcony. At night. I dont know... i honestly find that very difficult to believe
I had an experience kindof similar to Taylor when I was 5, or 6 years old. I grew up on a farm, and fell asleep on a wagon one day. When I woke up I was in the woods, and had no idea where I was, or how I got there. I wound up hiking all day, and wound up at a house about 2 miles away. The people who lived there gave me a ride home, and I’ve never had another sleepwalking incident.
When I was a kid I was a notorious sleepwalker but the most noteworthy incident was a time I sleepwalked across the house & went into my brother's room, climbed the ladder of his bunk bed but woke up while I was on the ladder. My natural reaction was to release my grip & immediately fell backwards hitting my head. Could've been so much worse. I won't dare take prescription sleep aids for fear of being one of those news stories of a person who accidentally murders someone while sleepwalking. I've only dealt with sleep eating in my adulthood; it's not unheard of to wake up with melted chocolate & potato chips all over me & no memory of eating. 😴🛌🍫🍽💊💤😳
I haven't slept walked since I was a teenager but I did it quite often, now that you mention that I worry that maybe just maybe one day it'll come back and I could hurt myself or someone else! 😂😓
@@e.paradigm7415 it's terrifying to think your body can be active & capable but your mind hasn't caught up. It's like sleep paralysis of the mind without the awareness..or something backwards like that.
I use to have night terrors all the time when I was little. Sleepwalking while screaming bloody murder. My parents thought I was possessed. To this day I can remember the last night terror I had. It was like being stuck in between 2 worlds and I can remember feeling very lost in a vision of ruined city but I was in my living room at the same time. It was so strange.
Omg I've never heard such a close description of what I experienced! I was screaming while simultaneously knowing I needed to stop and was also between two worlds, my living room and a rusty crumbling broken dystopia. 😱 That was my last night terror and I'll never forget it.
That sounds like a supernatural experience, the feeling of being trapped in the spirit world versus the real world. I've heard of people mastering lucid dreaming and having trouble waking up from their dreams because of an unseen presence. The experience would terrify them to the point of never doing it again. I remember having a nightmare where I encountered a demonic entity and when I tried waking up I was spiritually pushed out of my body and saw myself sleeping. In dreams where I experienced sleep paralysis, I always felt an uneasy presence. Often I'd see a demon looking over my bed, I wouldn't be able to move or speak, but even though I wasn't able to speak I'd still call out to Jesus and wake up. It's always worked for me. People laugh about sleepwalking, but it's actually something serious. I think most cases stem from childhood trauma, but no one talks about that. It's always "take this medication, or he'll grow out of it", or "it's genetic" it's never about healing the real trauma most bury within themselves or researching the long term affects trauma can cause in our minds and in our bodies. They want to keep everyone asleep to the real truth.
@@dreampastures Yeah that stuff is definitely real. I lived most of my life not really believing, until one day a few years back, I guess I just woke up. I now have prophetic dreams of the future and my intuition is in hyper mode. My dad says I’m clairvoyant but idk what it is.
@@andrewhanson1180 Yeah, not everyone has that deep intuition or discernment. It's something rare, more like a spiritual gift, or if you are open to believe there is more out there. We all have great purpose. It's not all about getting the best job, having a big family or house with a white picket fence. Nothing wrong with those things, it's just not our only purpose. It's more about helping those God may lead in our path, sharing our own experiences, learning from eachother, not living in denial but living in truth even though the truth can be painful. The truth helps us grow and become stronger. I don't think it's about being clairvoyant, that's more like making contact with spirits. Be careful, making contact can open doors to the spirit realm and you may welcome entities which are not so friendly. Prophetic dreams are more of a spiritual gift, most of my family have had all sorts of strange dreams. Some dreams seem more prophetic then others. Some are terrifying. Pay attention to the prophetic ones, those usually stay on your mind. This is random, but there's this guy I follow on here that talks about things that wake people up in regards to mental health awareness. He's really opened up my eyes about stuff people don't bother talking about it. Check him out. th-cam.com/video/2JqM2jQiWg8/w-d-xo.html
@@dreampastures - It´s true, psychiatrists never try to heal the trauma, they leave the work to someone else. I´ve also have had many sleep paralyses and once was leaving my body floating.. heard my answering machine of the phone talking... soemtimes I felt a presence behind me, other times I saw parts of devilish tails... Was screaming but nobody heard me. I understood my brain was partialy still asleep like 0,5 % although mostly awake like 99,05 %; and those details were fragments of the dreams from the part of the brain which was still sleeping; therefore it was like between two worlds, too. But later, I started to see ghosts around my body and they felt very real... I was remembering then, that not the whole brain is awake and they might also be fragments of dreams. In REM sleep dreams are very vivid and sleep paralyses happen only during REM sleep, so if you wake up then you may have parts of dreams active. However, leaving my body I thought was real, because I got sucked back to my body... Because, why would one be sucked back to the body, if one wasn´t outside the body? We don´t use to get sucked back, when we just dream and we don´t use to see the room exactly how it is in actual condition, when we dream...
She needs a door stop that has an alarm on it! So the door won't open and it will gives her room mates enough time to wake up to get her before her making it outside.
True true! But.. I never said to wake her up. If the alarm dose then perfect her sub conscience mind woke herself up.. if she is a heavy sleeper tho it could give enough time for the room mate. Side note: how funny i was talking about a door stop today.. take care! And stay safe!😉
One time I sleepwalked, my mom said that it wasn’t really walking, she said it was more like speed-walking, she said that got out of bed, went to her room, and sat down on her bed, facing away from her. She stared at me confused and eventually I said “No, no it’s fine. No really it’s fine. No worries.” And I stood up and speed-walked back to my room.
When I was 3 years old, I sleptwalked and did a running push at the screen door and went right through the glass. I almost bled to death and had to be rushed to the emergency room
I've had a full 5 minute conversation with someone that knocked on my door and I didn't even know they came to the house. Only found out because they called my roommate and asked what was up with me talking gibberish. He told me this when he got home and found me on the couch sleeping.
There was only one time that I can recall sleepwalking. I was visiting my grandparents house and in the middle of the night i realized I was in the hallway near my mom's room. From there it was like i was watching myself but not in control of what I was doing. I opened the door and mumbled something to my mom and climbed into into her bed.
When I was little, I had several sleepwalks. My parents once told me that i sleepwalking and tried to open the door and tried to leave our house in the middle of the night. But gladly, my mom took me to my room again I've also experienced other sleepwalks, at that time I dreamed that I was peeing in the bathroom, but in fact I was peeing in the kitchen
I used to talk in my sleep lol one time my mom heard me and thought I was awake and was prepared to tell me to go to bed and get mad. totally confused her lol
Well one of my cousins started sleep walking one day , he entered my room and turned on my PC WHILE BEING ASLEEP , i didn't know what to do so i approached him casually and slapped him across the face 😂 Well now i know what to do so yeah i think it was a bad idea to just slap him to consciousness 😂
It's a bed of potato chip crumbs and/or a face full of melted chocolate for me. One time I bought white chocolate M&Ms & I woke up so mad because I ate them in my sleep & still didn't know what they tasted like ha. I felt robbed. 🍫😴💤
I sleepwalk a lot too. I have my apartment setup for safety so I don't go outside or hurt myself. I swam in a neighbors pool when I was younger for 3 hours. The neighbors found me and rescued me. It was winter too. I also can sing like an Oprah singer in my sleep. I did a full face of makeup in the pitch dark while sleepwalking many times. I also have lucid dreams about wizards and vampires and I fight aliens. I wake up scared and paralysed and I have physical hallucinations in my sleep that wake me up. I have a lot of stress and anxiety so that is why I have flare ups that last a week at a time.
I remember my cousin who is 11 walked across the whole house and walked into the basement where I was sleeping, I said, "uhh your bed is up there" she had the blankest and deadest look I have ever seen it was so funny and she PUSHED ME OFF my bed and slept in it. I am still confused lol
I have sleep walked right out the front door in the middle of winter, in Alaska, barefoot. Apparently I hiked through the snow and was standing in the front yard. Then when I went back inside I didn’t close the door. We woke up to a house that was 40 degrees with the door wide open, snow everywhere. And my feet were cut up from the ice and dirty. This happens frequently. Lol. I also sleep talk, sleep eat, and sleep text.

It’s real, and I’m now 53. Waking-up in the morning, and finding things out of place, not remembering anything, is terrifying. Not too long ago, I woke-up to my lamp being on the floor w/ the bulb removed finding it in a bowl next to the bed. The lamp was on the floor still plugged-in. I had taken my Yeti cup, and hid it somewhere? It took me 3 months to find-it: The cup was behind the bed. I sleepwalk at least twice a week. It’s absolutely terrifying.
HAHAH I used to sleepwalk when i was younger and one time when I was sleeping with my sister one night and mind you she was still awake watching tv on her laptop in bed. I use to sleepwalk and have night terrors as a child, the sleep walking was a strange experience but the night terrors were terrifying! Lol. The sleep walking would be me walking all around the house, typically I would be looking for something or try to complete nonsensical tasks, I was aware of what was going around but my brain was too busy focusing on whatever it was telling me to do, you're basically still asleep and dreaming but your body is pretty much awake, I could be holding conversations with someone but would get frustrated because I was unable to finish the task I was set out to do. [ *eg., If I wake up I need to go to the kitchen to grab a cup of water and drink it so I can swim with the fish and keep myself hydrated when I swim with them because I won't be able to drink water when I'm with them.* ] In your mind it would make complete sense at the time. When I became a teen I would walk into my families rooms and check up on them, trying to protect them from something, sometimes inadvertently waking them up and probably scaring them but I would try my best to explain to them but they wouldn't understand what I was " seeing ". And night terrors were basically just me acting out nightmares through sleepwalking. I remember once I was up screaming at the top of my lungs yelling for my mom trying to run out the house while my older sister was wrestling me to keep myself from running out, it's just weird stuff, I tried explaining as best as i could, I haven't sleepwalked since in my teenage years, always wonder what caused it or what stopped it. 🤔

I think I sleep walked once before. I remember it. I was sleeping and then remembered I had an event coming up, so I got out of bed and asked my dad something. He just responded with "what?" and I got the same response so I got mad and said "whatever" and went back to my bed and slept.
My cousin told me that I slept walked one night that he was visiting over my Grandma's house. All I did was go to the restroom and back, and I ended up in bed with him? I guess it was technically my bed at the time he was in. I don't remember that at all. I just know how happy I was that he was visiting. We had invisible boundaries of respect, after all he was an adult. If I did sleep walk, he was my cure for it that night! I really thought about it and it may have fixed it for me. That is so much. Maybe he put me back in my bed for the night, where I was sleeping with my sister. I was little. I actually don't remember getting back in bed that night at all. I'm very thankful to have a family that loved me/us, and did not take advantage of me/us with any type of abuse. Life was perceived to be hard enough by others where I lived than to have issues like that. I do seem to have remembered going to the restroom, and I do remember perceiving him in the home that night, but I do not remember sleep walking. He said I was asleep. Wow! I also remember other dreaming events like thinking I went to restroom but wetting the bed so it is very likely that I slept walked that night, and nights before, because I actually do remember going to the restrooom, I guess in my sleep. I really do not remember getting back in bed that night at all.
One day, me and my friend were having a sleepover, and at 3 am, she got out of bed and to my brothers room and started too stare at him in her sleep. Lol. I still as an adult sleep walk, my latest escapade was I got up in the middle of the night and my husband said I went in the bathroom, stood up on the side of the bathtub and started taking down my shower curtain, took all of the rings out of the curtain and then still standing ON THE SIDE OF THE TUB, put the rings back on the curtain, hung it back up and got down, walked in the kitchen and took all of the silverware out of the drawer and put it in the sink then went back to bed.. No memory of it what so ever..

A friend of mine has sleepwalking run in the family. He lived in a 4 story tall building and when he was just moving there he fell asleep one night. The next morning his 2 person sofa was gone from the bottom floor. His door was locked and he thought someone had stolen it somehow. After a while he goes to the 4th floor ... and ... his sofa is there. He had planned to move it to that floor with the help of friends. He's sure he moved it while sleepwalking since he was the only one in the locked house. He often sleepwalked back then ... until he fixed his sleeping schedule.

I would wake up with household items neatly arranged on my pillow.. bruises and scratches on my arms and legs that i could not recall how i got them.. i woke up twice with my hands coloured redish orange, like you get after handling beats or carrots, or pealing oranges.. and many little clues indicated i must have been very active at night. A neighbour told my parents (that was 30 years ago, i'm 45 now) that he saw me walking on the ledge of my balcony. At night. I dont know... i honestly find that very difficult to believe
bro cooks in his sleep
Wow this is terrifying
I have Night eating syndrome too .. Sleep eating that is
I sleep eat too😭
I use to have night terrors all the time when I was little.

Erica Brown yes, but no one should ever wake up a sleepwalker, because they may be aggressive and violent.
True true!

But gladly, my mom took me to my room again
I've also experienced other sleepwalks, at that time I dreamed that I was peeing in the bathroom, but in fact I was peeing in the kitchen

I always remember sleepwalking in adulthood not so much in childhood.
Watching this after I just sent my sleepwalking kid back to bed 😂
My sister told me that I was sleepwalking and went to a outlet put my fingers in it and almost electrocuted myself.

I saw my brother sleepwalk once and if you never seen someone sleepwalk before well I have one word to describe it: TERRIFYING
HAHAH I used to sleepwalk when i was younger and one time when I was sleeping with my sister one night and mind you she was still awake watching tv on her laptop in bed. She says I suddenly just rose out of bed like a mummy and stared at her and started cackling out of nowhere lmaoo I can’t even imagine how scary that would be hahah she thought I was awake but I wouldn’t stop laughing but I was just staring at her hahahaha

I hope you are okay. God bless u.
Remind me to see this when it’s not 1 am and it’s the morning morning
