my father had one of these diesel Mark VIIs, his was the goldish tan color and i believe it too was an LSC. i was very young when he had it. he later sold it for a gasser because he hated how slow it was, but always said it was a VERY rare car. i will NEVER forget the gurgling racket of that diesel engine!
funnily my grandma had the 524td which had the same motor…that was a gorgeous car too!
id love to find either a diesel Mark VII or a 524td, but i know it’d probably cost a fortune to resurrect one of those old BMW turbodiesel engines! i’ll stick with my TDI for the time being lol

Haha yeah. They put them in every trim level for the Mark VII. Base,Bill Blass, LSC, and the Gianni Versace along with the 4 door Continentals as well.

For me as an German ist so funny das this engine found it's way in this American land yacht. Sounds great by the way. 👍

@@marfster2914 As a North American I found it interesting that this engine was designed for the Lincoln before a BMW.

The speedometer display is reminiscent of the one in my Toyota Prius NHW20!

A classy looking car but I never liked those wheels.
I’m wondering if it used the same front and rear brake rotors and calipers as the Mustang SVO?

@@MustangsTrainsMowers front brakes are totally different but I believe the rear calipers are interchangeable from an 86 SVO.

Hard to believe this is an 84. Shows from 1983 Ford Cars were way ahead of the time compared to other automakers then. 1983 Thunderbirds, Cougars, Tauruses, Sables, Tempos and Topaz and this Lincoln seemed more like cars of the 90s than early 80s. By the 90s everything copied these

The digital dash, the auto close trunk, the anti drip fold over the top doors, the upper console, the flush headlights, etc, yes, it really was.

Had a pale yellow one Bill Blass edition with a cracked head. I really liked the car but after the third head I sold it.
