    I absolutely love the rarity on this VII. Never even knew sage green was an offered color. Wow it looks stunning considering the previous owner totally beat on it. I'm glad it's in a better place now with a loving caretaker. The CB radio and wing windows were both extremely rare options. Any Lincoln collector would be proud to restore this car and put it in their collection. I know i would.

    I think when you looked over by the rear defogger and mentioned the fog lights, the switch missing was actually for the power antenna. Lincoln had the antenna raise and lower with the radio power in 1984, but went back to a separate antenna switch in 1985, which they kept until 1991. They never offered the CD changer from the factory with the Mark VII. Some dealers may have offered installing a 10CD changer when they first became offered in 1992, with a separate controller. There's no factory bracket or anything like that for the Mark VII because it was never offered from the factory. Lincoln first had a CD player in the 1987 Town Car, with a separate unit mounted under the dash. The Mark VII had to wait until 1990 when they first made a CD radio since there was no room in a Mark VII to have both a cassette and CD player in the dash. Nice color.

    • @lincolnmarkviiguy366
      @lincolnmarkviiguy366 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No I meant fog light button. Correct this antenna goes up with the radio power button but you could get a separate switch in 84 if you wanted. 90 was the last year for the power antenna button. The CD changer in the trunk was a dealer option.

    This the Cougar, Sable, Topaz, Aerostar, Thunderbird, Taurus and Tempo all looked like future cars of the 90s but instead came out in the early-early mid 80s (1983-84). Ford was truly ahead of everyone else at the time! Everyone else's vehicles looked old then compared to Ford's offerings. Now everyone stole the look in today's market. Amazing find 👍 nice survivor there! Keep it and restore that one. Hard to believe 40 yrs old now

    Hard to believe this is an 84. Shows from 1983 Ford Cars were way ahead of the time compared to other automakers then. 1983 Thunderbirds, Cougars, Tauruses, Sables, Tempos and Topaz and this Lincoln seemed more like cars of the 90s than early 80s. By the 90s everything copied these

    my father had one of these diesel Mark VIIs, his was the goldish tan color and i believe it too was an LSC. i was very young when he had it. he later sold it for a gasser because he hated how slow it was, but always said it was a VERY rare car. i will NEVER forget the gurgling racket of that diesel engine! funnily my grandma had the 524td which had the same motor…that was a gorgeous car too! id love to find either a diesel Mark VII or a 524td, but i know it’d probably cost a fortune to resurrect one of those old BMW turbodiesel engines! i’ll stick with my TDI for the time being lol
