I love these revolvers, especially the one with the long barrel. Very nice revolvers, I love revolvers and am a big fan of revolvers. Thanks for sharing.
I'm lucky enough to have at least one, just like the one on the top right. Six inch triple T, unfired with original box and paperwork made in 1980. I've only had it for two months. I need to find a shooter grade 17 next. I do have a six inch ten shot 617 that is my shooter. Very nice collection you have!
I like that you can use 22 shorts, longs, long rifles, snake shot, Velocitors and stingers all in the same cylinder. My favorite is the 34-1 Snub, but I would love to find some like the ones you have on the table. Thanks for the video. And, Merry Christmas 🎄
I got a K series 22LR today at a pawn shop and trying to figure out roughly how old it is. I see your serial number is K540569. Mine is K201513. From what I've seen on various forums, you can generally date the gun with the serial number, but I haven't figured out yet what age range the 200000 serial range would be. Any ideas?
The model 17s and 18s are all 22LR. The same gun in 22 Magnum was the model 48, but I don`t own any of those. The original model 48s are a little rare and expensive. The model 53 is marked 22 Magnum on the barrel, but those are actually chambered for 22 Remington Jet Magnum. Which is basically a 357 Magnum brass necked down to 22 caliber. Other K Frame S&W 22s are the model 617 and 648. Which are just stainless steel versions of the model 17 and model 48.
I have a 8 3/8 model 17-4 that is the peak of perfection. And a 6 inch model 617 which can't be beat. These guns are priceless. If Jesus doesn't return before then, these guns will be present and working 200 years from now.
it kinda sucks that these old 22 revolver seem like by far the finest 22 revolvers yo ucan still get now but all the young 22lr shooters like me are priced out of them :(
The value of these guns has not really changed that much over the years. It`s the value of the money that has changed. Back in the 70s one of these cost about 2 weeks pay for the average working man. And that`s about what they cost today. About 2 weeks pay.
Just look at all that S&W goodness on that table !! Mighty nice, Shep... Mighty NICE, indeed !
Thanks 👍
Great looking line up. I have a Model 17-3 with a 8 3/8" barrel I really enjoy shooting. Thanks for posting!!
Thanks for watching.
I picked up a 1957 K-22 Masterpiece a few weeks ago. I also have a 17-4 8-3/8 barrel. I love them both!
You should do a video with them sometime.
I picked up a 18-3 last week. Old man won a raffle in 67 he never fired it. I put 200 rounds through it yesterday. It's a sweet Ole revolver.
You should do a video with it sometime.
Holy cow , if I owned that selection of revolvers I think I'd die a happy man .😊
They are nice.
Those look like lots of fun. I have a model 19-4 that dates from the 70s. The 4" barrel in the thumbnail caught my eye.
They are.

Thanks for taking time to watch.
Mighty Fine set of Revolvers 🙂👍☕
Thanks
My 6 in model 17 is possibly the gun I shoot the best with, tack driver. Thanks for the video
They are excellent revolvers.
Beautiful revolvers, I never could find an older model 17 so I had to settle with a new 17-9 I found
Thanks
Nice collection! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful S&W revolvers....
Thanks
I have the 17-4 in 8 3/8” barrel with TH, TT, and TS. It’s quality and shoots good at 50yds.
They are good revolvers.
😊So nice.I’ve never seen an 8 3/8” before.
They are less common than the 6 inch ones, but not rare.
Those are some nice smith's, really like the 8 3/4 one , those stocks are sweet. Still haven't found a older 22lr Smith.
Thanks 👍

1953
Great looking guns..
But which of those are 22 magnum? Or all were 22 lr?

How much is the 8 3/8 barrel one worth today? Just curious? I was gifted that exact model.
Prices on these older S&Ws are always going up. Look on gunbroker.com and see what they have been selling for lately.
When I shot my 17-3 for the first time I giggled at the recoil difference to my Kimber k6 with magnums
You should do a video with it sometime.

You can`t hardly wear one of these out. And even if they are used enough for the timing to get off, they are pretty easy to fix.
THANKS
You're welcome!

@@1957Shep putting it that way makes sense thank you for the perspective
Price pls...I want two
They are not that hard to find. Look on gunbroker.com and you can see what they have been selling for lately.
Try a korth
The Korth revolvers are excellent. But I don`t think they are enough better than a S&W or Colt to justify the cost.
@@1957Shep I agree. I have had a 357 a short while.
@@1957Shep well i found a new unfired diamondback (6 inch 22lr ) it's too expensive I say. It's just a revolver,it's made too be used.
