We Flew To France For A Baguette... AND NEARLY HAD A BIRD STRIKE!

In this video, I'm going to show you how to fly IFR by bringing you along for an IFR flight from Oxford to Le Touquet in France, in the airways, as part of my MEIR training.
I am currently doing my flying training to achieve my dream of becoming a commercial pilot and in this video, I will be taking you along to see what I get up to on one of my flights on the twin-engine aircraft. In this video, we flew to France as part of our training for our EASAlicence.

Oli, I wanted to ask about your training both in this aircraft and in the A321, have you done a double engine failure? I’m a big fan of Aircrash Investigation and the video of the BA Pilot who flew into Volcanic Ash in SE Aisa with the St Elmo’s Fire was really interesting to see, as he partly had to glide until he could restart his engines - the other incident I was very interested in was Capt Sully and the landing in the Hudson

We never trained for a double engine failure in these lighter aircraft, but we did on the A320 in the simulator for the type rating 👍🏼

@@PilotOliI’d love to see you doing a flight to Dublin and getting to fly in Irish airspace - the scenery in the West of Ireland is stunning so you would be in for a real treat, flying into and out of Irish airfields all over Ireland - I’m in Manchester U.K. myself but I have extended family in Rural Ireland and my home village in Ireland is a VRP reporting point - when Runway 10 at Dublin is active, all the arrivals fly over our village
