Yep, I received a notice to re-roof within a month or get dropped. Of the few remaining insurance companies covering California, their policies are at least 2.5x what I was paying a year ago. Definitely stuck between two expensive options with no guarantee of sustained coverage.
I'm required to pay for "acts of terrorism" insurance on my landlords and homeowners for all-state in Philly because of the things that happened during 2020
@@chriscolameco6850 I don't blame the insurance company on that one. Philly is full of angry people looking to burn the place down when the next riot breaks out.
Apparently insurance companies are using google earth photos with AI to determine roof condition. I had to get two different roof inspections to prove to them it was tree shadowing they were seeing. They then ordered me to have the tree removed. Absolutely rediculous
The insurance company will eventually cancel his policy in the future. California buyers are having a difficult time finding homeowners insurance in general.
It isn't just California. Several states are getting dropped or the premiums tripling anywhere that has any level of risk. California is fire and earthquake. States with tornadoes and hurricanes are also getting dropped. The insurance companies just want to collect and never pay out.
Have you heard of insurance companies dropping customers out of the blue like this homeowner? Let me know in the comments.
Several insurance companies are trying to leave the California market. Many other states are experiencing a dramatic rise in insurance costs.

Wow!
Insurance companies are owned by the same people that own Big Pharmaceutical companies!
Can i come and learn what you guys are doing by working right alongside your workers?
I'm just curious isn't California allowing you to put a maximum of 3 shingles layers?
Only allows 2 layers
