She is too small - height and weight; she's 5' 6" and 119 pounds. You need momentum [Mass x Velocity] behind your ball-striking to really be a contender. A new coach can only do so much. It takes too much energy to drive the ball when you're that small. Her age doesn't help either.
Sam Shepard a good coach would able to exploit and use what you have and make them your lethal weapon. You don’t need brut force to be a high caliber player and win grand slams. Martina Hingis, Monica seles, and Naomi Osaka just to name a few comes to mind that are not considered power hitters and all won grandslams. FYI Justine Hénin, 5’-5”, 117lbs won 7 grand slams.

I think alot of people misread her (Camila's) somewhat standoffish behavior and seemingly rude handshakes at the end of matches. I see her as very, very, competitive and hard on herself. I also think she is in some ways a bit shy (yes, even pro athletes can have "normal" personality traits like us not-so-knowns!). But, yeah, clearly adding more "light and shade" to her game would be a huge step forward for her. She probably should be ranked higher than she often is in the WTA rankings. She has proven that her relentless groundstrokes and court quickness have the ability to beat big names in the game. I wish her well going forward! Mitch Long

I’m watching Giorgi 🎾 Sabalenka in Eastbourne and I’m pulling hard for Sabalenka but her team has to help her with her focus. Sabalenka’s fierceness and intensity is a huge part of her tennis game and it helps her but it hurts her also. She loses her focus too easily in my humble opinion and I hate seeing it. If Sabalenka can conquer all that she will win multiple Slams she has prime Serena type power she just needs to blow on her fingers like Steffi used to do that might help.

Also just what an absolutely stunning woman with a lot of tennis talent and someone I actively root for even though she has lost me a lot of money. Also when she is losing, it doesn't seem like she could give two fcuks about what is going on. from how she pounces on the ball reckless abandon and has a lot of ups and downs during a match.
Her game is so 1 dimensional . Probably becos her father only know how to play that way . She needs a new coach . So much potential years ago but did not make a great impact due to bad coaching . Very sad .
