Beta Ray Bill was a badass in this story he pops out of nowhere and quickly reduces Fenrir into a skeleton while screaming "Who dare lays a hand on the Mighty Thor" and he scares Fenrir's army into retreating. I am sad he wasn't in the Thor movie, Bill is one of the best Thor and Cosmic characters.

It’s so weird how the movie adaptation has taken parts so out of context and made it work so well, it’s like they’re retelling the wrong story in the right way

it's an alternative earth set in the same multiverse
i actually really like that about marvel and dc, how instead of making movies and calling them "adaptations" they're literally just an alternate earth of the original comics

Yeah that's the fun and interesting things about the MCU versions of the events that we know from the comics, sure there are times that they don't hold up to the original stories but most of the time they sure do, Winter Soldier, Civil War, Ragnarok, Infinity War (Gauntlet) are great examples and soon we will see the One more day and Spider-men storylines in No Way Home
More like taking 2 of the best stories and retelling them in the worst way possible.

This started out neat, got even better, than weird, than just completely confusing and made no sense And then became completely pointless. The part with iron man and cap teaming up to save Asgard sounds awesome though.
They completely lost me at the whole "destroy reality" bit. especially if Ragnarok is an infinite loop, how does Thor know to destroy it? and as an endless loop, wouldn't Thor have done all this confusing stuff before in other loops?
Darth Rubik Nope. This storyline is where Thor realizes that Asgard and the other worlds are being manipulated by a Higher Power, neither Thor or anyone else found this out in the previous cycles, Everything that Thor has done in comic continuity had been leading up to Thor Ultimately breaking and ending the ragnarok cycles forever.
When Odin gave up his eye he gained greater knowledge of how to use runes and such. Thor gave away two of his eyes and gained this greater knowledge. the video explained it.
Darth Rubik well Asgard came back in the end so for all we know Thor failed and the cycle continues

One has incest going whatever the f- it wants (Mom-Son, Dad-Daughter, Uncle-Niece, etc.), various monster either born from another monster or a child defect while the other has never ending wars and conflicts and a prophecy that can't be stopped stating that they'll all die one day.

Well they kinda have to purely to have it fit in with the rest of the MCU. It all has to lead up to the Infinity War.
To be fair though, not too long ago, Disney gave (near) complete creative control of Marvel Studios and the movies to Kevin Feige. Before, Kevin Feige would report to Perlmutter (Marvel's CEO), who was infamously known for prioritizing toy sales before anything else.
They are mixing it with Planet Hulk as well, although there was some concept art with Thor wielding swords so that could mean he loses his hammer.

They each personify their concept as well as their concepts counterpart, such as Dream being the personification of Dreams AND reality.
And since gods experience much of what the endless personify, one could say they are gods of gods, even though, as said, they are personifications and not exactly gods.

Ragnarok might be one of the classic work which indicated Thor's true power even without Mjolnir, and off course not the poor innovation which Thor is bound with the hammer to make him weak. Yet the question remains: Will they not screw him again like Dark World and current comic continuity?
If this is what live action Ragnarok is gonna be like then I can't wait to see it. Especially if they put the "space horse version of Thor" in it.

Don't get your hopes up. Marvel haven't stayed that true to any adaptation. Plus it would kinda destroy their universe. Also based on the reaction it got in Age of Ultron I doubt we will see Thor in any more wells lol

I think they might have recapped the wrong Ragnarok story here. There have been a few Marvel has published, usually ending with Odin cheating Ragnarok in some way, the most famous being the one by Walter Simonson. The one they recapped was the "final" Ragnarok story, the one that broke the Marvel Norse gods from the old Norse myths that might have made them, and the gods above gods used to control them.
