Calabash digger, thank you very much for this extremely informative video on beach hunting with the Manticore! Because I live in Florida, in a county where digging in parks is prohibited, I am limited to strictly 100% beach hunting. Again, thank you very much! 🧑🦯👍
Thanks Calabashdiggeradventures. I'm in N. Myrtle Beach and will be taking my Manticore out for the First Time 11-26-24 or 11-27-24 Loved the video. Who knows, if I recognize you out there sometime I will introduce myself and thank you personally. Thank-you for sharing your knowledge and experience and helping us beginners with our new hobby.
I've noticed the same sensitivity settings. I almost always never go above 23, like you said. I love tracking ground balance as well, super convenient! I remember I wasn't using the balance and I kept getting squeaks and ghost signals. Only real difference between your settings and mine is I almost always just use the Surf and Seawater. I might have to start using that Low Conductors setting! Great tip on the Depth Audio, too. I wholeheartedly agree that if you're not familiar with the different tone settings, and used to one set of tones, to keep going at it with what you've got set up. It can get pretty confusing changing between those audio settings. Overall great video! Super knowledgeable and I'm glad you're doing these tutorial videos! Looking forward to seeing all the treasure you find with it!
Calabash, thank you for this excellent video. This is Stinkasscat. I can attest to what you said about the sensitivity levels on dry ground, I keep it around 20-22. I've tried deep audio a few times and will use it more now that I've seen these tests. Keep up the great work, my friend. 👍👍👍
Thanks for the audio advice! I was always changing it around to find the one “magical” audio setting, but soon realized there isn’t one. The best audio/tone type is the one you’re most familiar with through regular use. Find one you like then stick with that. You’re the only person I’ve seen who has brought this up and I follow this advice now whenever I can. Choosing and sticking with the same audio type is great advice no matter what brand of detector you have. 👍
Another great vid! Man, I tried Beach Low Conductor my first time at the beach with the Manticore. That program had me digging tiny targets that I sometimes couldn't even locate with the pinpointer. I found Beach General to suit me a little better. Good luck on your upcoming beach hunt! Hope ya get that massive gold ring we've been looking for!
Grande macchina il Manticore ,il mio amico in acqua al mare ha ottenuto ottimi risultati in 1 anno di ricerche, anche lui viaggia da 21 a 23 e 5 di speed, la tentazione di acquistare un Manticore è grande 😅
What's the main difference between low conductor and deep? I mostly run deep but if I'm in a good area I will go deep then switch to low conductor and go over the same area.
deep is a lower weighted freq program ..which will make it deeper on high conductive coins. Low conductive is higher weighted so it makes it deeper on gold.
Oh, I forgot to ask in my last post - what are your thoughts on M11 vs M15 at the beach? Certainly going to cover more ground with the 15, .... and some folks claim a bit more depth. Your opinion? Thanks!
Hello Calabash, I'm interested in you sending me the program for the Manticore, if possible, to try it out. I'm starting out with detention and I think your experience can help me a lot. I would appreciate it if you could send me everything step by step. I don't know much about these devices. Thanks, Manny.
Best mr calabash. I understand you use the detector with tracking function on? You have to understand that you will never know when the beach conditions change under your coil. You can walk for hours on a dead stretch off beach. Every tide a beach will change with the condition, mineralization, the iron, lead and yes,,,, everything. So beach hunting has a rule.. tracking off,,,, iron on,,,,, headphones over the ears, and sens max you can or one stap below. Listen to the ( faint) signals. And don’t trust VDI numbers. The salty conditions will change the structure of metal. 43 years of beach detecting.. but hey,, everybody has the right to believe his own👍💪 HH REGARDS
hello, for you, opinion between the manticore and the deus xp 2 that it is the best on the detection of gold on the beaches of the ocean. Is the minelab manticore more sensitive to the small gold target? In terms of depth on gold, the Deus XP 2 is better, can you say a little more to these subjects, thank you
@@calabashdiggeradventures thank you for your opinion, but the manticore with the 45 cm detection head must be more efficient in terms of depth, I believe that you have tried it with
@calabashdiggeradventures I threw a dime on the beach, and it didn't even see it! I was like, what the heck!!?. Not that I wanted to find clad but was going for rings and jewelry. I started over, put it in beach mode, low tones, and it worked then. .maybe I had it on something else..not sure. Just got the Manicore, so I'm brand new to it. I have the Nox 900 as well.
I have used this machine for over a year and never even knew that the sensitivity is adjustable, thanks!
No problem!
I would love to see more Manticore videos!
Great to have you back putting out informative videos again 👍🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
@@calabashdiggeradventureslo farò sicuramente, in aiuto ci sono anche i tuoi video guida molto dettagliati su come impostare il Manticore 👍
Perfect timing. I'll be hitting some RI beaches next week with my new Manticore. Thanks for this video!
You bet!

Good stuff. I run my recovery speed at 8. It does love tiny targets on low conductor. The Manticore amazes me every hunt .
Real tiny targets....Thanks!

So, Calabash which tone and zones setting do you think are best for the Manticore on East Coast beaches?
Depth medium profile..BUT that is subjective ti the end user.

You are wrong about the tracking...I can watch the conditions change on the Manticore as it tracks fast....GOOD luck running your detector that way...

They seem to be very close in performance from what I have seen. At the end of the day I think it comes down to the end users personal preference.

Did you ever use a 3030? How do they compare on the beach?
Manticore is way deeper on gold...
I was in beach mode low conductor..it wasnt picking up coins! I found that strange!!!
how deep?
