    "As a building block, shipping containers are both durable and versatile-convert one into a tiny home or a backyard office, or stack and arrange them to create a bold residence. In addition to saving on construction costs, upcycling an old container can be an eco-friendly alternative to building from the ground up. Now you can own your very own 20'x8' (160 sq. ft.) container home built by Forte Shelter in Redlands, CA. "

      From the video the owner was using it as a home office, I'm sure it could be modified to accommodate some storage and a sofa bed or Murphy bed. With a smaller couch, you probably could add a freestanding wardrobe/closet from a place like Ikea.

    Love the idea of the cutting board over the trash. I like the look of the siding but I see opportunity for wasps and such to build nests under them. Also having cats open shelves are problematic except as a kitty perch since the boys, one in particular, would dump anything off the shelves. I had to put a child lock on my refrigerator to keep him from opening the door and leaving it open.

    MORE storage cabinets hanging in bathroom are a must. Where the coat hooks are at the front door; take them down and move the thermostat and install a small closet there for more storage. Must have a larger fridge.

  • @membear
    @membear 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    It's very nice, what I thought was not smart was the trash shoot thing and the two trach bins. with so little storage there is no need for that just buy a small trash bin and take it out every day. If it's at least 7 feet wide I would have put the sofa the long way against the wall,. You don't really need to open those back door.

    Great job. One of my favorites I seen on this channel. I would forego a window and get a full size fridge in there. Either that, or I would have a mini or half container to put fridge, pantry and storage. I might not attach it directly because that might not be a efficient cost method, but rather sit it close by the cargo doors. It gives me better ideas for addons than I typically get with container builds. Also like the modern look and quality components.

    This is nice for a single person . I would change the lay out to have cabinet for clothes and a sofa pull out bed.
    The bathroom also needs cabinet space...
    Maybe two of these containers. And it would be just a bite more room.
    But yes this would be get for affordable living ❣️❣️❣️❣️👍👍👍👍
    I would try and sell this idea to the housing government for ppl with low incomes.

    Nicely made-I like this a lot. Three grumps: No bedroom. No side, end or coffee tables. No personal or clothing storage. A couch you can sleep on is not a bedroom. Owner said has been office; listing reads new. The toilet flushing is too weird for me. I do love the choices and finishes otherwise.

    Ok, so there's no bedroom and no closet. It would be okay if you didn't want to actually live there... The designs for what is present is not bad, I think it's a really polished look, but it's not suitable for living in regards to the lack of certain amenities. Even cheap hotels have beds, come on.

      @@cleetismcdougall5425 I'm aware of that but if I want to live in the space, I'm going to want a separate sleeping area with an actual mattress. This space isn't designed for that and is too small to accommodate that kind of area. All of the units I've seen on this channel have specifically been residential units, that's why I was thrown off by this one not really fitting that format.
