The second question..... some friendships are actually better off as just friends than lovers honestly.
For the introvert question, I think it may depend on how old they are. Some of his actions were red flags, but if he’s young, he may not exactly have the emotional intelligence to navigate dating as an introvert (I’m a bonafide introvert and had similar characteristics in my younger years). But the fact that he dismisses her concerns IS problematic. If they had a serious conversation and he still hasn’t changed then leave him and date a bit older lol worked for me 😂
Yup, I'm an introvert with anxiety so it's hard for me to communicate with regular friends. However, if my friend bought it to my attention that they want me to reach out to them a little bit more, I'd consider it constructive criticism and do better because I want to keep them as a friend. It sounds like he's not interested in being with her or he'd make an effort.
I’m an Introvert but if someone told me they wanted me to talk to them more and I like them back then I’ll definitely will talk to them more bc they confirmed what they want
Also the question of who is he talking when he's not talking to her is so simple. No one. As a certified introvert I can tell you, if I'm not talking to my baby it's because my social meter is tapped and I'm in isolation till it fills up again. Many people don't understand that unless they themselves are true introverts.
But I so agree, it's not cool that he dismiss her when she tries to talk about it. But like the other commenter said it also depends on his age. He could just be too young to even realize it.
@@nenababy011 Yeah it's clear that Isi and Josh aren't introverts and don't really understand that not everyone acts needs the same amount of social interaction on a daily basis. Me and my bestie are tight but we're also introverts and can go weeks without talking, come back and it still be normal. I'm not talking to anyone else during that time, I just wanna be left alone or don't feel like talking. Now during covid we talk a lot more because we can't hang out in person, but I just feel not everyone needs that consist attention. And not everyone is clear when they like someone or is doing everything to get close to you. They kinda need to understand that some of us just don't express our feelings like that and it's perfectly valid. I know I wasn't dying to get close to anyone I've had a crush on or made in effort to touch or be near them, mostly because I was a nervous wreck when I was close to them and I don't like feeling like that and fumbling over my words.

8:50-9:20 What Isi talking about is what I’ve been learning in one of my psychology courses, but it dates back to slavery. There’s a speech/letter by Willie Lynch called the Making of a Slave. He goes into details about how to break a man in front of the other males and women. This will make the women feel as though their man can’t protect them and it makes her more independent in the long run. He also states how if two women have a child, one boy and one girl the woman with the girl will make her independent. The woman with the boy will teach him how to be mentally/emotional dependent and physically strong. It’s crazy how the issues of today dates back to slavery and it’s even crazier to deal with the issues of today without even knowing the origin. Please check out the letter on your free time!

The only thing I can hope with these #therapythursday is that people actually take the advice because these answers are also how many of us feel. People please understand that this couple is talking sense and if you are falling in any of these shoes, many of us agree with Josh and Isi.

I think the kids topic is subjective and it varies. I didn’t want any kids and it’s something I’ve said in 3 previous relationships but my current relationship I compromised in year 2 of our relationship (we’re in year 5 now) and decided that this man really deserves his own legacy, he’s great with kids and his face lights up when he’s with his niece and nephew. Ik he’ll be a great dad and will gladly help me through my shortcomings.
I would really love to see y'all do an Eat & Chill when it comes to toxic women. I know women go through a lot but there are plenty of fellas struggling out there and some women need to reflect on how they are as well.
This i would love to see!!! i think it would make a very interesting video as we always hear the negatives when it comes to men but what about women

As an introvert myself, you can be an introvert and still have enough emotional intelligence to communicate. Being an introvert or extrovert has absolutely nothing to do with being able to communicate assertively. Again, I’m an introvert and enjoy alone time but I’m very assertive with my wants and needs in any kind of relationship! It’s a matter of timidity/assertiveness (and thus maturity) rather than extrovert/introvert.

The Legal separation question I’m less on the fence when it comes to older people... because I know so many Jamaican Aunties and Uncles who been legally separated for over 10-20 years, so I don’t want to say they can’t date but for our age group idk... I personally think it’s shady like how can you start a relationship with someone who is still legally in another relationship.

A lot of what I hear in these videos sounds like attachment style issues. I recommend everyone read Attached by Amir Levine. It’s a good book that helps you learn a lot about yourself and potential partners. Everyone has an attachment style whether it be anxious, avoidant, or secure. Being able to recognize signs of each one saves a lot of heart ache!
Facts” I’m 34 and what I’ve learned in life is, Men are Simple, Either they gone want you or they not. We women are the ones with the analytical thinking and actions. Men are Simple my Sistas. Don’t let these Men “or” your potential Insecurities of the situation Lead you On.

I’ve never been in a relationship, and y’all are helping me find out what I want. I am 19 and I want a MAN, not a boy. They need to come with the same energy. I have my own money, you have your own money. I have my own car, you have your own car. In a few years..I have my own place, you have your own place. I have goals for my life, you have goals. My mom and friends always taught me: if you are dating young 18-22, go for someone older by a few years because women mature a like faster and earlier than guys so someone your age most likely isn't one the same level as you.

This therapy Thursday was by far the besssssssst. The questions submitted painted similar situations I been through and Josh and Isi advice were well thought of when it came down to breaking everything down. The 2 of yall are such a blessing to me and going forward with my life I will apply all the things that were said. However I'm a bit older than the 2 of you and probably the quality crew so I feel like my dating timeline is cut in half and there's no time to waste. I know in due time my true love will come but I feel like when he do, I'll feel tempted to give him an alternative.

What do you guys think about the 2nd situation with the introverted couple? Because I get what Isi was saying about how his actions are red flags but idk being an introvert is much more complicated than that. I have a friend who is an introvert and literally having deep convos (and even general conversations) is EXTREMELY exhausting and difficult for her. We now have deep convos because we’ve been friends for about 5 years now but it was only just 2 years ago that she really started opening up to me an, even now, sometimes she won’t message me for a few days bc engaging in convo is jus tiring for her. And that girl and her bf have been dating for 2 MONTHS? If he’s a true introvert, more times, it’ll take more time for him to open up to her and have “deep convos”
But I do agree that he needs to address her concerns and not dismiss them because introvert or not, that’s just not acceptable. he’s definitely capable of doing that!!
That introverted couple is me and my FWB. We're both introverts and we don't text or call eachother. We only hangout about 2ce a month and that's when we talk and we do have long and deep conversations then. It works out for both of us. I also don't text and call my friends often but they know if they text or call me I'll always respond. It all comes down to understanding I guess

People should still communicate their concerns but it’s important to understand that if a person is truly introverted, the response they’re expecting can possibly take longer than anticipated! But that doesn’t mean you need to settle yk? if you find that u can be in a relationship with someone like that, that’s also fine. Like you said, it all comes down to understanding and tolerance levels!!!

We're both introverts and kinda have an unspoken agreement that not talking to each other for a while doesn't really mean anything other than we just wanna be left alone for a bit. Being introverted is definitely more complex than they made it seem. Like not everyone wants to get as close as possible to someone they really like. I have too much social anxiety for that. Thats the reason I've only ever dated extroverts because they are more likely to make it clear that they like someone can try to be close to them. They are the only ones that approach me. And when another girl scores a guy I like because she was more outgoing, sure it hurts but it's not something I can change about myself.

But this being her first relationship. I disagree about her not needing to take it seriously cause sometimes people are one & done. She should most definitely take it serious. If thats someone she wanted to grow w/ that’s something she but mostly he should put effort into making it last. So at least you didn’t waste that first relationship on someone who wanted to play games, cause there are people who will show you what a relationship is. Good & bad but they will be in it for the long haul.

(27:36) lowkey happy that less people want kids. in my mind, not everyone is meant to be a parent, and it's so sad to see kids grow up in bad situations. however, i know that ppl out here creating babies and terminating them which i hate too.. rough world we live in. but anyway, i changed my mind on wanting kids so ik it is possible for others too. it's a big choice to make so give ppl time to make that decision for themselves. (not saying you should wait forever)
