I’m a firm believer that there’s a difference between selling yourself short and setting reasonable goals to aim for consistency. Yes we should all strive for the highest, however we must remain consistent despite what takes place in our daily lives. With that being said, I believe setting small goals at first is definitely ok if it’s something you can stick to. Because crossing the finish lines as you mentioned will build your confidence and I still believe that there’s significance behind small victories. You can still gain a lot out of them. I guess there are ways to make a big victory out of small victories at first.

@@lsauthor Oh well as much as I have to accept that your channel is already filled with the perfect bite-sized philosophies (at least for me), perhaps, you can cover the topic of stoicism? You can make a video of stoicism's application in day-to-day life. If you want to research on it, I would highly recommend you the book Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. Other than this, I know that you are gonna drop quality content nonetheless and I can't wait for it!

Here something to think about. Fortunelaty it wont affect you much. I am happy and grateful you wont.
However, something to think about -
Genetic determination narrows the avenue along which further cultural evolution will occur. There is no way at present to guess how far that evolution will proceed. But its past course can be more deeply interpreted and perhaps, with luck and skill, its approximate future direction can be charted. The psychology of individuals will form a key part of this analysis. Cultures are not superorganisms that evolve by their own dynamics. Rather, cultural change is the statistical product of the separate behavioral responses of large numbers of human beings who cope as best they can with social existence.

I completely agree but a lot of people, especially those under some form of depression, will make small insignificant things that don't really contribute to any goal they set something on their checklist and they'll make all this written "progress" but in reality they aren't actually achieving their goals. I find this to be more damaging because I can't find a way to convince them that what they're doing is not good for them without them retorting that it was my advice to begin with to make a checklist of smaller things to do. Is there any help you can give for someone who isn't really the nicest speaker to convince my friends to do actually meaningful things instead of small points that didn't need to be worked on?

You seem like a really solid friend. Glad to know there are dudes like you out there trying to help bring those around you up. My background is in the mental health field and I will say, the presence of true clinical depression brings a lot of nuance into the conversation. There is definitely a big difference between checking boxes and really moving the needle toward a goal. These are your friends and so I would say this could start with just a conversation with the person you want to help. See what matters most to them. What is important to them and what drives them. Then, in the conversation you identity together the actions that truly do move the needle and matter most. But keep in mind that with real clinical depression at play, there’s going to be some limit to the help you’ll be able to provide. Despite the very best intentions. There will be a more personal journey the individual themselves will need to take on. Best of luck to you, friend. Hope this offers something of value to you.

Sounds like another Hamza in the making.
"Get to the gym bro", "Your life bro", "Your promises bro", "Like my background music bro".
I wont say much but you know what's it like to be on the verge of being homeless with nothing?
How the society treats you without any bread crumb of a chance for anything just because you are not attractive?
All you will then have is lies. Hoping something happens the next day. Base your reality, chances, logic, luck on hope.
Anyhow. You stay well and safe.

      @@lsauthor Yup.
My mind reminds me everyday. But I still rage agaisnt the dying light.
I even see it in the instant flinch when my accent reveals that I am from Asia. Another millisecond away from that disgust face and a second away out of forced kindness to reject my resume.
I am in the other side of statistics that none of the self help, advice, motivation is made for.
I find comfort in some of the words Arthur schopenhauer and Nietzche says.
      You have a great day.
