Attention: It was brought to my attention that the December 18th patch causes the roof to be deleted when the foundation is raised. I am already working on a fix and will release a video for an updated version as soon as I figure something out! ___ Hey guys! I already mentioned it in the video but want to say it again here because I know this will be a concern some will have: Rain, snow, cold and so on did not affect the Sims in this room/house so weather is not an issue and it works like a normal room! :)

Amazing. And tbh, I think EA should really broaden their building capabilities. Things like split rooms, round stairs, leveled stairs ( a stair that can be elongated or shortened vertically for split room purpose) and many more building tricks for us creative builders would be appreciated.

a fence is a lot easier, just start the fence in the opposite corner of where you want it to connect to the house. so instead of going from the house to the end of the fence location, do it the other way around, towards the house.

This vid was good but I'll give u a easy idea to do this in the inside and outside, So basically what u do is u just build ur house how ever u want it to be and in the inside make like box shaped room with nothing inside that room and delete the floor *inside the room* which u have created and then delete the walls of that room add stairs and then u have a split level house but in the inside if u want it outside u can do it like how Kate did or u can do the same thing but in the outside. ( in a patio or whatever u call that sitting area which we make outside ) I hope my idea was useful for some of u

I hated this game cause I couldn't figure out how to do anything. After watching your videos I figured out how to make a home and like the game. I love your videos they are so helpful!
Had the same problem the solution I found was to use either a “half hipped roof” or a “gabled roof” and have it one tile away from the wall and then just hold down the shift key and make the “edge” towards the wall longer so it looks like it connects. So ya can still do it it’s just a little different now, hope this helps.
I think Sims4 changed something. I've tried it several times recently and it doesn't work for me. When I build the second room that is going to have the foundation I'm fine, until I actually lift the room to give it height. Then it removes the roof from the still semi-open room.

Woah das ist super! Ich habe es in meinem letzten Haus mit Dächern gefaket, weshalb man einen Teil des unteren Hauses nicht wirklich benutzen kann. So ist es viel besser. @@KateEmerald vielen Dank! 💗 Ja die USB Ports gaben keinen Saft mehr ab, wodurch wir auch nicht mehr ins Bios kamen, geschweige denn einen früheren Zeitpunkt herstellen konnten. Angeblich wohl durch ein Windows Update. Zumindest war das die einzige Lösung, die wir fanden nach ewigem Suchen und Reperaturversuchen. Und natürlich ist Garantie genau diesen Monat abgelaufen. Haben jetzt n neues Motherboard gekauft. Jetzt fehlt nur noch der Adapter für die Festplatte und dann können wir neu installieren und hoffen, dass es dann wieder funzt. 👍💕
Das hört sich ja zum Glück nach einer simplen Lösung an, ist immer ärgerlich wenn man gar nicht weiß wo man ansetzen soll. Aber so wird der PC ja schnell wieder laufen! :) Ich freue mich schon auf Neues von dir!

Hey, this doesn't work for me. When I add the new room for the foundation, I try raising it up and it doesn't like it. It just removes the roof for the other room without a foundation.
2:18 ps4 will delete roof on open room when you raise the foundation if the right room. Anyone know how to prevent this or another way to do it on ps4?

How can you conect fences to tall level?

That does not work anymore. As soon as I try to drag the building in hight the roof turns yellow and disappears.

So do you think this would still work with split levels on top of terrain? Like a hill?
I just tested it on raised terrain, as long as the terrain you are building on is flat it works just fine! :)
