The last episode is the first time we see Lestat outside of Louis' memory/tale, and I think it is so beautifully done, the way they show how Lestat is a man that feels. He is in love with everything, so much it hurts him, in contrast to what Louis tells us (that Lestat is crass and doesnt care about anything but himself and his own amusement). That is the first time we see him for himself and it was at that moment that the actor won me over. I think this is the best Lestat ever to be on screen, and I see him exactly how I pictured the book one in my mind...
I'm obsessed with your commitment to calling Lestat James and Armand Arnold, perfect no notes😂. Your reaction was fantastic, I love all the characters, but Louis and Claudia have my heart, so ep5-8 were a lot, I cried buckets.
Remember Louis' business advice to Armand? Give Santiago the coven; he'll eventually make a mess of things and they'll want Armand back. Know who actually applied that great "Louis the Pimp" advice to his own circumstance? Lestat. He "gave" Louis to Armand with a bet that the flimsy levee Armand was building to protect his relationship wouldn't hold against the flood of lies forever ("Let's see how long it holds."). Lestat was right; all hail him!
Just realized that while Louis was burning the coven alive, he was collecting all of Claudia's journals and putting them into a sack. That's how he came to be in possession of them (present day)!
I have read the first 3 books multiple times before, and still was suprised by the show. They dont just copy paste, they changed a bunch of stuff, and (in my opinion) they did it for the better, while maintaining the characters' essence and complexities, if you'd like to read them, i dont think it would spoil anything for the tv show...
The photo of the boy on crutches was taken by renowned American photographer and director Gordon Parks. The other photos that Louis argues about with Armand, are by Fred Stein.
I’m fucking obsessed with this show too! I’ve loved watching your reactions, you are so funny! I am also obsessed with Jacob Anderson (aka Louis), he’s so incredible and deserves so many awards. The whole cast is incredible, they really all just knocked it out of the park! Season 3 can’t get here soon enough! ❤❤❤
The cryptic comment that Raglan James makes to Daniel foreshadows a plotline in a later Anne Rice novel. I don't want to spoil it for you, but it's good.
Good catch! I heard that too. Now I'm wondering if it could end up as a major plotline for 'The Immortal Universe' show 'The Talamasca'! I hope they do a good job with it. 'The Talamasca' has great potential as they were introduced in this show, have a major part in 'The Mayfair Witches' and soon to have their own show. The crossovers could be mindblowing.
@@angelaholmes8888 Somebody else who remembers Weeds!! I love that show and Justin was fantastic as Andy. I just recently found out Rolin worked on Weeds.
Your love for Louis and Claudia is everything to me, you're so meeee. This show really is amazing and I'm glad you liked it! I hope you check out the Season 3 teaser as well!
Season 3 unfortunately does not have a release date yet. They are just finishing up writing the scripts for season 3 right now and then they have to film it and do all the post production and stuff so most people are thinking late 2025 but... Maybe (probably) early 2026. But yeah there's no official release date yet. There is a teaser trailer that was filmed prior to the scripts being written as a little treat for San Diego Comic-Con so there's absolutely no spoilers as to what is going to ACTUALLY be in season 3... But it is a fun little teaser trailer I highly recommend checking it out! Bloopers for season 2 which are great... And there is also a behind-the-scenes documentary for the making of season 1 and season 2 if you like behind the scenes content... Some people have done reactions to those documentary making of s on youtube but it is technically something that you can watch on your own time. Would LOVE to see a reaction of yours if you do decide to watch the behind the scenes content though! There's some wonderful insight gained from it, imo. And you can just see how much love was poured into the making of this show.
I wish Assad(Armand) was in the thumbnail, truly this is his season as well and it's like everyone even AMC chooses not to promote him as much as Lestat and he is barely physically there. Armand is a central character

I never read the books and when I saw Daniel in them shades and that leather jacket. I knew something wasn't right and that he was a vamp

I responded but realized you meant in the actual show and not this yt video lol
But Santiago is there so it throws me off @@anais6654
Lol yea, im mostly mad at AMC's marketing @Choccoco
It would be fun to see you react to the 1994 movie - which covers the scope of these two seasons - just for comparison ☺️
Unfortunately do to scheduling conflicts bailey bass couldn't return for season 2 she was doing avatar sequels
