Repairs are expensive, yes, BUT it will always be CHEAPER than buying a brand new motorhome and the depreciation, loan interests, higher insurance, etc,etc that comes with it !!! And the cool factor of the GMC is unbeatable....People are more curious about a GMC than 10 Prevost buses parked nearby !!!
Terry, I actually talked to Jim about this a couple of weeks ago and he stated a Cloyes 9-1113 which I was having trouble finding so I went with a COMP Cams 3113 Hi-Tech Race Roller Timing Set, the chain is pre stretched and the word on the street is it is made by Cloyes.
My 73 GMC sequoia motorhome has always had trouble with bending push rods, the engine was built by a well known builder/machinist. The only thing I can think of is he did put an RV camshaft in it and I'm wondering if he should have also added or recommended adjustable rocker arms. Any thoughts? I just don't know much about olds engines
Great talk. I learn something every video.
