This song was one of my best friend, Shane's all time faves. He got me into AFI, and countless other amazing bands, he was a talented drummer who had played in bands, and he was hands down one of the most special people that I have ever known and loved!! These songs hold precious memories of the good days of running around blasting cd's...just living without a care int he world. Shane passed away on June 26th, 6 years ago. Miss you, BFF, I know you're listening to your favorite bands in the afterlife♡♡
1st and keys The only way I’ve been able to get any peace lately has been going through old AFI music videos because of COVID-19. Thank god for music is these chaotic times.
Hard to believe this CD came out 16 years ago this month. I listened to every track repeatedly and it didn't leave my CD player for months. Still one of my favorite albums.
Reminds me of when I was still a high school girl obsessing over Davey Havok and this video watching it over and over again. Fast forward to the future, who could have thought that I'd be walking on that frigging bridge and been staying in the country from this video for six years now? Nobody could. Thank you so much AFI for being a part of my confusing teen life.
I love AFI. This is my favorite song and I always come back to it when I think of this band. Davie Havok is so under rated as a lead vocalist. This band should get more credit for being one of the most theatrical punk/hard-core bands.
My six year old is obsessed with AFI. ( Thanks to me) but literally he sings in the shower " golden lobsters" instead of". cold In life throes...*😭😂 so now I can't unhear it and love this record so much more .🖤

My brain likes to forget how this music video ends, so every few years on a really heavy day I come back to it. Thanks, AFI. You guys made a huge impact on me, and still do sometimes.
Madre mía, que recuerdos cuándo iba al colegio con los audífonos y la tarareaba Miles de veces, estamos viejos, pero tenemos estos hermosos recuerdos, grande AFI 😊
By far, by miles and miles THE best comment ever! It's exactly what I see Davey saying; as he takes one more look into his compact mirror and clearing a smudge at his eye, snaps it closed and puts it into his back pocket before saying, "Now what are we going to do about a drummer?"
I've seen some speculations about the meaning of this video, and after watching it for the first time in years I've noticed a subtle symbolism. It shows the effects of suicide, in a way. Davey's friends are killed trying to save him, which could be considered an allegory of how the family and friends of suicidal people get caught up in the pain of it all (if their loved one follows through with a suicide attempt, they don't remain unscathed mentally, emotionally, and sometimes even physically.) The fact that Davey appears oblivious to the crash can signify how suicidal individuals often don't realize the impact they have on people and don't realize how their self-loathing can cause their loved ones anguish, and they don't realize how many people truly care for them.
Eoleum Mystery yes but suicidal people don’t do it for attention or they don’t mean to cause pain to their loved ones and even if people care for the suicidal person it doesn’t make a difference
@@cozza3783 That's what I just said; suicidal people often don't realize the full extent of what they're really doing because they're so caught up in their own pain.
For if it's all the rest of us who are killed by the suicide, it's himself whom the murderer kills; only he has to do is over, and over, and over. -Ursula K. Le Guin, The Word for World is Forest
This brings me back so much. All I cared about was hanging with friends, going to shows, and partying. Now being in my thirties and a family man I get to still enjoy the nostalgia AFI brings me. Crazy how time marches on. And if you ever got to see them live you know they put on an amazing show!
This song always helps me with suicidal thoughts. The video captures greatly how the loved ones are affected by suicide, makes me think how my mom and dad and other close ones hearts would be broken forever if I did that. Thank you AFI for amazing music with great messages 🖤
I know what you mean the amount of scars I have from my wrist and upto my arm pit from each time the dark thoughts get in my head I find myself pushing the blade a little deeper i wear long sleeve shirts to hide the scars they freak people out I can't bear to look at them and yet do this to myself remembering a promise I made that makes me stop. Some days are worse than others and some nights get real bad and I just want out by pills or the blade I'm so sick of the world you keep losing everyone around you and all the needless hate you can't even speak your mind without some individual getting offended and all you want is just to be left in peace but that seems to be a impossible thing ask these days I have my bad points but one of my good points is keeping my word but that's all anyone can do I suppose I'm not cold person even though a want to be it's just I care for family and friends so very much it's killing me when I lose them but that is the world and that's why I want out I have become very good at laughing while I'm breaking down crying inside I'm getting so tired of putting on that fake ass laugh but unless a drug is made to stop people from dying I will continue this way my apologies for the long winded commitment but music does help for me it's a distraction at best and remembering the promise I made and keep fighting back the dark thoughts I hope in the most high you do better then me if it helps make a promise and do your best to keep it. P.s another good group are the rasmus I saw them live they were brilliant
***** alot of that is because its always a surprise with the first album or 2. then fans start to have expectations on how the band should sound, so if it strays from that people will perceive it as getting worse
Growing up, I had no clue this was a biblical song. Well done brothers. Not only did it touch me in my ignorance, it helped, and now I can see so much more than before. Thank you for helping the Lord carry me through the darkness. May our King tell you Well Done, and wecome you into His Kingdom with open arms. You made a song about Him popular with many being completely oblivious. Not all seeds are sown on the street, or in a pulpit. Some come from those we wouldn't expect. Thank you for reaching me at a time when all I knew was confusion. I finally found the Light.

Im 41 and this song is my favorite from AFI ❤ I was so EMO in highschool this band helped me to be myself no matter what people thought of me
That piano and quick drum breakdown at the start never fails to give me chills.
One of my best friends died last week. We used to listen this song all day. I really miss those days, I really miss him...
LuisMa, I will always remember you with this great song. Thank you for everything Brother :')
Yisus SA me too
He sure is reading you and listening to this song wherever he is bro. (y)
Fabian Escanero Moreno thank you 🙏🏼
Rest in peace to your friend. May the best memories carry you.
@@dudeshamus1451 thank you friend!
I... I came here by day, but I left here in darkness
And found you, found you on the way
And now, it is silver and silent, it is silver and cold
You, in somber resplendence, I hold
Your sins into me
Oh, my beautiful one
Your sins into me
As a rapturous voice escapes, I will tremble a prayer
And I'll beg for forgiveness
(Your sins into me) Your sins into me
Oh, my beautiful one
Light, like the flutter of wings, feel your hollow voice rushing into me
As you're longing to sing
So I... I will paint you in silver, I will wrap you in cold
I will lift up your voice as I sink
Your sins into me
Oh, my beautiful one, now
Your sins into me
As a rapturous voice escapes, I will tremble a prayer
And I'll beg for forgiveness
(Your sins into me) Your sins into me
Cold in life's throes, I'll fall asleep for you
Cold in life's throes, I only ask you turn away
Cold in life's throes, I'll fall asleep for you
Cold in life's throes, I only ask you turn
As they seep... into me, oh, my beautiful one, now
Your sins into me
Oh, my beautiful one
Your sins into me
As a rapturous voice escapes, I will tremble a prayer
And I'll beg for forgiveness
(Your sins into me)
Your sins into me... oh
Your sins into me
Oh, my beautiful one, now
Your sins into me
As a rapturous voice escapes, I will tremble a prayer
And I'll beg for forgiveness
(Your sins into me) Your sins into...
(Your sins into me) Your sins into me
Oh, my beautiful one

This song was one of my best friend, Shane's all time faves. He got me into AFI, and countless other amazing bands, he was a talented drummer who had played in bands, and he was hands down one of the most special people that I have ever known and loved!! These songs hold precious memories of the good days of running around blasting cd's...just living without a care int he world. Shane passed away on June 26th, 6 years ago. Miss you, BFF, I know you're listening to your favorite bands in the afterlife♡♡
Xoxo
Best thing about COVID-19, gives you time to listen and chill.
Dude been rediscovering all my old jams. Go check out Deftones next. The comments are the best!
1st and keys The only way I’ve been able to get any peace lately has been going through old AFI music videos because of COVID-19. Thank god for music is these chaotic times.
yet mate :D
Don't forget smoking too
Silver and Gold ultimate Money.
Hard to believe this CD came out 16 years ago this month. I listened to every track repeatedly and it didn't leave my CD player for months. Still one of my favorite albums.
❤️❤️ me too. I even wore out my first copy and had to get a second!
His hair is fabulous. I wish it was still either like this, or like in 2006
Such a great and yet underated band....
Lol, I also listen to them during my high school years
Your sins into me
Where is it about?
+Eiz A Where is this place? It's so beautiful!

This is poetry, real art.
I don't know exactly why, but this is one of my all time favorite songs. There is just something about it that gets to me.
Same goes for me I love this song
So, like, do you think all the band members are vampires who have lived for hundreds of years, or is it just Davey?
The concert last night @ the Budweiser stadium was phenomenal! Thank you for singing through the hair caught in your throat!
I love AFI. This is my favorite song and I always come back to it when I think of this band. Davie Havok is so under rated as a lead vocalist. This band should get more credit for being one of the most theatrical punk/hard-core bands.
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf “ or “Seen/Unseen” by SLT 🐺🤘🔥🤘🐺
@@beezybeez4207 I will check out. Thanks for the suggestion.

My six year old is obsessed with AFI. ( Thanks to me) but literally he sings in the shower " golden lobsters" instead of". cold In life throes...*😭😂 so now I can't unhear it and love this record so much more .🖤
ahahaha LOL golden lobsters 🔥
God this song always takes me back to freshman year in '03. Still great.

Upvote if you are a) old b) drunk and c) in retrospect realize how fucking awesome this band really was back then.
I’m all three in this moment I type this !! Crazy awesome post my friend !
Still is
Dude...
Honestly I used to not really like AFI back in the day but nowadays I get it.
im 13 so no
I remember my youth, I loved my freedom, I loved what surrounded me, I have a great memory with this musical group, thanks for everything. AFI...SILVER AND COLD
My brain likes to forget how this music video ends, so every few years on a really heavy day I come back to it. Thanks, AFI. You guys made a huge impact on me, and still do sometimes.
I know Miss Murder was one of their most successful songs, but this one was always my jam. Man, it brings me back.
The non commercialized song are always the best.
My teenage years are almost over, I listen to this song with my mom sometimes and it's still amazing as always
This song and video always give me chills (in a good way). Just brilliant. Please never stop making music!
im 31 years old and this song still helping me with my thoughs, thanks AFI , thank you for all
Almost 20 years since I played this on repeat every day for months...still makes me tear up when I listen.
I think the moral here is
1. Invite Davey always
2. Don't ever let Adam drive
🤣
😂😂😂
Dude lol.....hilarious
Win
ahhahaha u make my day
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s crazy I was 11 years old when I started listening to AFI & now I’m 30 & still love them
Sing the Sorrow and December Underground are the soundtracks of my life.
Same bro 🤘🏼🎸🥁 love both albums so much
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf “ or “Seen/Unseen” by SLT 🐺🤘🔥🤘🐺
Madre mía, que recuerdos cuándo iba al colegio con los audífonos y la tarareaba Miles de veces, estamos viejos, pero tenemos estos hermosos recuerdos, grande AFI 😊
I was in my early 30's and going through a divorce when I really got into AFI. I've loved all their music. I'm now 47. We all get older.
Man, I was just a kid back then.
2019or some other songs
Growing old is no fun unfortunately 😕
2003: I was a junior in high school and this album changed my life.
Same. I was 13 when this album came out.
God I love this song. Had no idea there was even a video till today.
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf “ or “Seen/Unseen” by SLT 🐺🤘🎶🤘🐺
I'm 41 and I still love AFI
-Wait... weren't you gonna jump?
-Jump? WTF? No! I was just... feeling sexy on that edge.
You're only there to watch me fall
Watch me fall, watch me
Especially since the look now is homeless homicidal.
By far, by miles and miles THE best comment ever! It's exactly what I see Davey saying; as he takes one more look into his compact mirror and clearing a smudge at his eye, snaps it closed and puts it into his back pocket before saying, "Now what are we going to do about a drummer?"

I thought so. I can't decipher where though...
Looks like they filmed it super early in the morning to avoid all the tourists.
Eoleum Mystery yeah absolutely
Extremely well interpreted and descibed. I agree 100%.
This band Is timeless I love AFI loved Davey' s long hair!!!!!!
THIS VIDEO STILL MAKES ME AN EMOTIONAL WRECK OVER TEN YEARS LATER
Still to this day, it's melancholy and beautiful at the same time...and I still love it
This song always helps me with suicidal thoughts. The video captures greatly how the loved ones are affected by suicide, makes me think how my mom and dad and other close ones hearts would be broken forever if I did that. Thank you AFI for amazing music with great messages 🖤
4 month since your comment, but I hope you’re alright!

I know what you mean the amount of scars I have from my wrist and upto my arm pit from each time the dark thoughts get in my head I find myself pushing the blade a little deeper i wear long sleeve shirts to hide the scars they freak people out I can't bear to look at them and yet do this to myself
remembering a promise I made that makes me stop.
Some days are worse than others and some nights get real bad and I just want out by pills or the blade I'm so sick of the world you keep losing everyone around you and all the needless hate you can't even speak your mind without some individual getting offended and all you want is just to be left in peace but that seems to be a impossible thing ask these days I have my bad points but one of my good points is keeping my word but that's all anyone can do I suppose I'm not cold person even though a want to be it's just I care for family and friends so very much it's killing me when I lose them but that is the world and that's why I want out I have become very good at laughing while I'm breaking down crying inside I'm getting so tired of putting on that fake ass laugh but unless a drug is made to stop people from dying I will continue this way my apologies for the long winded commitment but music does help for me it's a distraction at best and remembering the promise I made and keep fighting back the dark thoughts
I hope in the most high you do better then me if it helps make a promise and do your best to keep it.
P.s another good group are the rasmus I saw them live they were brilliant
This is an amazing song. Way more philosophical, emotional, and talented than most songs today. And they were only in their 20’s! 👏👏👏👏🤔😮
Damn I love this album.. This song is amazing.. Why can't they write like this today
Are you kidding? Davey's songwriting has gotten only better and better. Unless yu're talking about why other bands don't write like this.
***** alot of that is because its always a surprise with the first album or 2. then fans start to have expectations on how the band should sound, so if it strays from that people will perceive it as getting worse
And a few friends of mine believe that everything went bad starting with STS. Different tastes, hun. Their writing never changed for me.
Idk. I agree somewhat, but I'm actually a huge fan of 17 Crimes.
I could look at Dave’s face all day he’s so handsome. I love his long hair.
The best song ever from AFI.
Maldita sea como pasa el tiempo, y esta canción no deja de ser buenísima
I love this album. I used to listen to it on repeat on CD at school.
Sounds just as good as it did when first released 18 years ago… AFI IS TIMELESS
Growing up, I had no clue this was a biblical song. Well done brothers. Not only did it touch me in my ignorance, it helped, and now I can see so much more than before. Thank you for helping the Lord carry me through the darkness. May our King tell you Well Done, and wecome you into His Kingdom with open arms. You made a song about Him popular with many being completely oblivious. Not all seeds are sown on the street, or in a pulpit. Some come from those we wouldn't expect. Thank you for reaching me at a time when all I knew was confusion. I finally found the Light.
Still one of the greatest 2000-2010 bands
I fell in love with this song when i first heard it...and still love it
Perfect for this season.

And the guitar riff during the verses of this song is SO good. Also takes place during the bridge as well.
this dude has the perfect gothic esthetic
I am 30 years old. In Poland, I listen to this in my teenage years. I'm sorry that icons like AFI, Three Days Grace, Espace the Fate, A7X etc., etc. don't come to Poland so often. This is the music of my youth.
Your comment really hit home. 30 as well. Haven't heard this song in years

Used to take my son and daughter to their after school clubs with this CD playing loudly in the car.
Had some really strange looks from the other parents as the three of us were singing along... Even had some of my children's friends come along and join in.
23 years ago, and the songs are still being played loudly in my car !
