- Haki is an incredible power system in One Piece that I simply don't understand fully. Is it strong, does it make the person faster? I genuinely have no idea. I just know that Luffy turns slightly black and gets a power amp.

"How do they use observation mid-fight?" They did say calm, not relaxed. Being confident in your combat prowess will give you the ease of mind you need to engage it at a moment's notice if need be. Being able to calmly focus on the fight will actually help your observation haki. And yes, if you have all 3 types, you can train into using all of them at once, and even train into using them to bolster each other while you fight. We're at the point in the series where we're actually seeing this happen.
As they said it is like sharingan to use sharingan u need alot of focus and collectiveness at fighting so yea.

On the other hand, Luffy had to do legit breathing exercises mid-fight to activate Future Sight and Kat stops using it as soon as he starts getting worked up about the fight and basically has to do the same

to understand the future sight and observation haki, future sight is basically the advanced observation haki, and what the video meant by "calm" to use is, really just means not getting beat up
To clear up/correct his point about ryou and infusing being called the same thing
“Ryou” is a term specific to a certain island in story(Wano)…it’s what that nations citizens call armament haki
You can infuse attacks with *either* armament or conquerors, infusing is more commonly known in the verse as just advanced applications of either of those types of Haki as a result.
Now things get kind of confusing because of the culture of Wano, they’re all samurai, and thus use swords….this makes it so their base knowledge of armament Haki also includes the advanced version (as they have to infuse their swords with it) so it’s all just categorized to those citizens as “Ryou”
Actually, ryou IS specifically advanced observation, because ryou means flow, and it basically means that they are allowing the haki to flow through their body, to put it into perspective, you have haki in all of your body, but with normal use only your arms can use your arms haki, you cant move your legs haki to your arms, flow, or ryou, unlocks that ability, allowing you to move and focus the haki, this is actually why Rayleigh was able to stop marco so easily in his youth, since you focus it all in a single point, it should be stronger in said point, Rayleigh managed to focus haki ok a single finger, which by recoil would make him very strong, this also implies that its the opposite of full body haki, as full body haki its spread evenly, whereas with flow it can be focused, if you notice, several wano characters use ryuo without using hardening (black coating) whereas other characters use hardening allow with ryou

“Flow” is indicative of being able to flow your Haki outside of your body, rather than having it basically *stick to you as armor*

There’s no “body part specific” haki. It’s just your manifestation of will. Rayleigh stopping Marco with just his finger, was just showcasing how powerful his haki was and how skilled he was at using it….even that young. It wasn’t implying that he put *every ounce of haki* into that one finger…..it’s just that Marco was so weak, all he needed *was* a finger. If it were someone like Oden, he’d had definitely used it up to atleast his arms.
Since the video failed to mention it. Haki is invisible, and the black coating is Invisible but you can interpret it as users of haki and people who are aware of it can sense it. Its also just a visual for the readers so they know when haki is used
No its not invisible. Armament Haki is invisible. Armament HARDENING however is visible. We literally have characters like Ussop and Chopper make note of the change like when Luffy used the Elephant Gun on the Kraken they both said how his hands changed

When two strong users of advanced conquerors haki or conquerors coating clash, it has the force of splitting the sky (heavens in one piece) in half. Luffy and kaido both do this in episode 1051. Zoro is also a user of advanced conq haki. When you imbue conq haki into an attack, It increases the damage ten-fold and knocks people out with just a swing of the sword. It is very op and look insanely cool when two users clash.
Same with Roger and Whitebeard which is kinda ironic
Observation killing which is what shanks has, this can cancel others observation haki preventing them from seeing into the future to predict you next attack. Very useful for combat and W video!
The Author said that Haki didn’t show in the pre-time skip because Luffy (the MC) didn’t know what it was or how it worked, but once he learned it we could see it

To explain Future Sight in battle, basically, you just need to keep a level head and not panic. Your willpower needs to be so strong that even though you're in a life and death situation, you can keep calm and fight with purposeful intent, not out of rage or desperation
For example, Katakuri was the first user of Future Sight we saw and he was able to dodge Luffy effortlessly in battle. Katakuri was cool, calm, and collected, respecting Luffy's power but not panicking over it.
But later Luffy stumbled upon Katakuri's secret and that freaked Katakuri out, causing his future sight to diminish and he started getting hit by Luffy's attacks. Later, Katakuri calmed himself down and cleared his mind of panic and confusion, and he was able to use future sight in combat again

Ryuo is way stronger than a basic rasengan , rasengan is rotated chakra drilling into your body where ryou bypasses that and damages from the inside out

Future sight is actually far better than the Sharingan when it comes to predicting what opponents will do.
The Sharingan allows the user to analise minute body movements in real time which gives the user an idea what will happen next, but it can predict erratic random behavior like Kurama’s chakra attacking independently from Naruto during The Valley of the end fight in part 1.
Advanced observation actually lets you see a few seconds into the future no matter what happens. You can see conversation, actions, etc that happen in the future it isn’t dependent on analyzing the opponent.

I know that this is off, but One Piece film Red is amazing. The movie is indeed musical, but the singer Ado never disappoints. The movie is not just that the character is singing, then the whole theme become like the music video like Disney. The character is singing while fighting too.
And also, Roger doesn't have any devil fruit. Devil fruit might look broken and powerful earlier, which it is, but depending on the user. But in the New World, you can't just rely on devil fruit alone because bunch of pirates or people are relying on haki alone. So it's pretty much useless if you have a broken devil fruit, but you're not aware of haki or to use it, then your dead.
Also just don't freaking spoil yourself because this will later be explained on the anime/manga itself

Also for enel he’s a special case he combined his df with his observation haki which allows him to not only gain a island lvl range but he can hear sound waves with his electric df

How far an observation haki user can see into the future depends on how proficient they are with observation haki, the stronger the observation = the farther into the future u can see so its alot better than the sharingan when it comes to the precognition aspect

actually.... Rasengan are like circular drills that grinds into the enemy (and with wind nature chakra, it adds an additional microscopic level cutting damage)
Ryou is more like the Hyuuga's gentle fist.... where u can poke someone and instead of hurting OUTSIDE the body, it POPS something inside the the person body. So for rasengan to be like Ryou, you have to be able to teleport the sphere INSIDE someone body so the skin is untouched but the innards are messed up.

Advanced Conquerors haki (Conquerors Coating) acts like armament haki, but instead of infusing ur self with a invisible barrier/shield. Ur infusing ur body with ur own will (Or spirit). Pretty much a op version of armament/advanced armament
To make it simple, Hakim is to make the "I'm so cool that when I look you you shit yourself", that shows in a lot of fictions, into a power

ok so when mans said that wherever they use armament a metal like black spot appears that is false, there was never really a black coating, the author simply put it there to show that it was being used. in reality they look exactly the same. which is why you were only able to start seeing it in the story once we learned what it was.

And that's how it works in the manga ;p it's strongly connected to the strength of beliefs and will of the user, it's basically manifestation of a strong will.

It's more than possible to calm fight someone, it's basically required for hight level swordsmanship. You can be angry yes, but when every swing could be leathal remaining calm is basically manditory. You will probably recover from a fist to the head. You probably wont when its a sword.
When you infuse ryou into your sword, you can cut anything as long as you have strong ryou

Another feature that wasn't explained yet is that the top tiers cannot be damaged at all unless someone has strong enough Haki. We know that this ability is linked to Haki, passive and constantly turned on unless the user is in emotional distress.
Big mom and Kaido could be asleep under a full on barrage of attacks. Ryou bypasses it somehow, explaining why it's such a prized ability. Kaido however described Ryou attacks as too shallow. While Conqueror infusion bypasses it entirely. Unless the user blocks with conqueror infusion themselves.
Conqueror infused attacks also keep the regular traits of normal conqueror's Haki. In that anyone withing it's general range with weak will power will pass out.
A proficient user of observation Haki doesn't need to turn it on and off. It's basically a passive until they are also in a state of emotional distress.
To answer your question on how they can focus their observation Haki. Think of Haki as the manifestation of the user's will. You can focus on something while ignoring other things. If you want to, for example, only pick up on threats, future sight will only show you a vision if there is one.
There's also another weird power that wasn't mentioned in the video. Some people have weird powers, such as controlling water, fire and lightning without a devil fruit. It's probably haki, but we have no idea how it works.
It is likely that Mihawk uses observation hakim constantly, switching to future sight when needed. Mihawk never gets worked up during a fight. Right field theory, Mohawk uses armament haki on his eyes as well, which is what changed the color.

I'm pretty sure one of the other main features of observation haki is the ability to take in a whole lot more data than a human body would normally be able to, when you're using it, though someone might be able to make it where you can take in a large amount of data permanently if you unlock advanced haki enough, also I do not know if I am right or wrong so I am asking for people to either correct me or tell me that I am wrong because I want to know if I am wrong or right.

seeing the future isnt just for 1 opponent no u can see various things if there's a trap being set up behind u u will see it, if there's a a fleet of ur opponents boys pulling up youll see that which allows u to change the future, now this doesn't make them unstoppable u can always be too fast to even react, kaido was so fast that luffy saw the furute but he couldn't react to the hit,

Actually, while armament is invisible the black coating is a technique called hardening (koka in japanese) mihawk and zoro make it clear that when a sword is coated in haki it temporarily becomes a black blade, and theres a few occasions on zoro calling his sword black during moves, tho its mostly movies

I understand why you watched this vid and wanted to understand Haki for content purposes. But damn one of my favorite parts of watching one piece was slowly learning all the ins and outs of haki one piece (no pun intended) at a time as the story progressed.
what u got wrong abt obs at 5:21 is u dont hear the conversations , u sense them , sense their intent , emotions , feelings , all that , its like 6th sense , not an extension of all senses
Being calm while fighting is a very common thing. Overcome your emotions and keep your composure. While ppl in real life don't have actual haki, most combat athlete predict their opponent movements. This works lot better when they're calm. Injuries and pain make them lose focus and easy to be tricked. If u apply using haki when being calm in this situation, then it'll probably makes more sense.
these ppl think Ryou is normal haki, Ryou is an advanced usage of Armament Haki which is commonly used by the people of Wano. Although Ryou emission simply means Haki to them, its usage is very different. It allows the user to let Haki flow through their body calmly and emit it from one point, allowing them to break through even the toughest of defenses.
armament haki is invisible while conqueror coating isn't, a lot of people complain about the new "dragonball" effects but i dont blame them lol, same anime production, toei + conqueor haki looks so good

It can aslo be used to reflect or deflect things as an advance form of armorment haki defense
Base armorment haki can be used to increase def and block attacks as well but it does not project an invisible / reflective shield like the advanced Verizon…
Advanced conquerers haki or infusion is not the same thing , while ryou can penetrate, infusion doesnt allows you to do damage and penetrate without making physical contact with the opponent. its power is based on the users conquering will, determination to be free and unconquered , not their physical strength or armament haki.. meaning that if a person doesnt have conquerers haki they cannot use it and are more likely to be overwhelmed when facing an adversary that is using infusion without knowing why.

@@callofdutykillaable Oda has never mentioned this. He never stated Armament Hardening is invisible. The most that he said was that Armament Haki is.
We literally have proof in the story itself that with Armament HARDENING it’s visible. Ussop and Chopper literally mention it during Fishmen Island, we have people like Z being called “Black Arm Zephyr” (though yes it is a non canon character)
We even have Luffy one shotting the Pacifista with the normal invisible armament. However every time he started using the BLACK coating he would SPECIFICALLY state “Armament: Hardening!”
Armament: Hardening is visible. We literally have people state in the story itself that it can be seen. Oda has never even stated that Armament Hardening is invisible
@@callofdutykillaable Plus obviously Armament:Hardening is visible because BLACK BLADES EXIST. People who DONT have haki can see the black blades…which are made that way because of Haki.

Its just a fan idea being tossed around as if Oda actually said something when he never did. The most we know, is that normal Armament is invisible. However the story itself plus the whole “Black Blade” situation makes it CLEAR that Armament: Hardening CAN be seen
