My headphone history: Logitech G Pro > Audeze Maxwell (with Wicked cusions) > Logitech G Pro X2 Reasons why i went back to Logitech. All youtubers talk about how AMAZING the sound quality is and how superior the Maxwells are. The bulletpoints seem pretty copy paste youtubers among. What everyone glances over is how freaking heavy the Maxwells are. It is always a sidenote. However you will come to realize they are super uncomfortable, even with the Wicked Cusions. They are like twice the weight of the Logitech. They are probably good for the ocassional movie, but theres a reason they arent that known in the gaming space, being you can't have them on for prolonged time before they hurt. Nooding your head forward almost has them fall off your head. I was fooled by all the youtubers 10/10 remarks, granted i do like the 80 hours batterylife, but i would have traded that for a lighter headset with 50. To me the Logitech G Pro with 25 hours was too little, but the X2 with 50 hours hits the sweetspot. Happy new years.
It is making sense, after all G Pro X 2 is design for competitive play, webpage is full of e-sport gamer. Logitech was not clear about "Best headset gaming", they should wrote "best headset for competitive game" or something like that. So to sum up: - competitive games : logitech - Other stuff: Maxwell
After 2 months of research, I was looking for the best high end gaming headset for myself(PS5) and for my brother(XSX). This became an easier decision because everything pointed to Audeze. I bought the Maxwell(PS version) and my brother the Maxwell(Xbox version). The Nova Pro finished a distant 2nd with the stealth pro from TB making the cut at 3rd. This was the best investment I've ever made in gaming. The Audeze Maxwell is incredible.
Man I must be the only one who wasn't impressed with the maxwells. My biggest gripes were how bad tbe bass sounded and how dsmn heavy the maxwells are. The earpads on the Astros have all ways been the best when it came to comfort. Hate to sound like an astro fan boy or a audezene hated but man I was just super underwhelmed by the maxwells.
This video was the reason I purchased both and wanted to experience them for myself and draw my own conclusion: - Logitech: it is not perfect, but I would say 70% gaming headset and 30% music, movie, other overall use... - Audeze: depending on the angle, but not perfect at all - it is about 90% for music and movies, and 10% for gaming... In my case I have amazing speaker set hooked up to my gaming system, so music and movies are handled by them - therefore, Logitech is my pick ALL DAY LONG!
The Maxwell is really good but the quality control issue of the left ear cup being louder and the detaching glue from from all over the.headset band and where the plastic meets metal is a huge let down.
I had the driver mismatch (left one louder), had to return them. I did order a new pair though that will arrive in July, should be from a new production batch. Hoping it's fixed, otherwise I'm just over gaming headsets. They are all shit.
My set of Maxwells dropped the right Ear after 1 month :(, no sound. Also had to get a replacement dongle, so there are definitely some quality control issues...
Another great video. Thank you again for making this.. You've answered all the questions I've had about the comparison of these two headphones without being 100% biased towards one or the other. I appreciate that a lot.
With the EQs, does the maxwell improve on footstep detection? Do the EQs help them close the gap in relation to footstep detection on the logitech g pro x 2?
I was considering purchasing Audeze headphones but decided against it. At 400 euros, they're not only pricier but also heavier and less comfortable, offering only a slight improvement in sound quality. I can't justify buying headphones that are uncomfortable to wear, and I'd rather use poor-quality bookshelf speakers instead. I've decided to go with Logitech
This was what I needed. From the previous experiences I thought Audeze will have better quality but for gaming, comfort and build quality (aka damage/non-functionalities ovcer the time) might be better for Logitech if you require 10-12 h sessions. This review made me realize that it is a bit the same case also here. Moreover, in my country, Audeze Maxwell cost 50 % more over Logitech Pro X 2. Thank you for the review.
Whai I would love to hear about is the replacable microphones. Most of gaming headsets now has detachable microphones. Are there products we can plug into the headsets to get superior microphone performance?
Very good review ! Just what I needed ! Just one thing : Can you display the footage from your video? Like chapters (example: "Presentation"; "Features"; "Sound" ...) But otherwise, keep up the good work, your videos are really cool to watch! If you ever read this, you might be able to help me decide ... I'm looking for a headset to replace my Corsair Void Pro Wireless. I would like a headset that is very good for gaming, but also very good for films and very good for music. I'd also like it to be portable, so that I can use it in the car or on a plane... so with a detachable microphone and Bluetooth. I'm leaning towards the maxwell, but I'm a bit worried about the soldering/imaging and also the fact that it's not 7.1... is that a problem or not? Will it sound more open than my current headphones? Sorry for writing such a long message...
i think maxwell has good imaging i am really high rank in valorant for it so its not a problem for me. The 7.1 it has the dolby atmos software if your interested in that. It still a closed headphone but it will probably sound larger than your current headphones because of bigger drivers
Logitech are way more comfortable than maxwells and lighter too. Unfortunately, EQ presets from GHub on PC do not carry over to PS5/Console. Unsure whether to keep the Logitech with a standardised stereo sound profile on PS5..
I have been looking for the answer to this question. I can't believe they don't transfer. I just got mine today. It's probably going back. I guess I will go with Nova pro or audeze.

I just received my Maxwells yesterday. I'll blow through the good stuff pretty quick. Sound is great, Pads are soft, Clamp is just right, decent side tone, Battery life and range are fantastic. Now, let me get to my gripes. As everyone said, it's heavy AF. I like comfort straps but what the hell are these adjustments?! I have a comfort strap on my Fostex T50RP. it stays steady and the cups slide into position. So much better. Although the pads are nice and soft, the get SUPER hot. I am not a sweaty person and after a couple of minutes they stick to my skin. Wicked Cushions is coming out with an aftermarket pad soon (not soon enough for me). The Mic for me is really quiet. It's a supercardioid mic which means that it's pickup patter is VERY narrow. This could be a good thing as it is less likely to pick up keyboard clicks while you are playing games. But, The proper mic position for a boom mic is at the corner of the mouth to avoid "plosives". You NEED to have this mic in front of your mouth or it will have trouble picking up your voice. I don't know why they didn't go with a cardioid or even an omnidirectional mic since they have the built in AI noise canceling. You would have had a fuller, more natural sounding mic. The software... ooofff... That needs some love. I can't create a custom EQ on my computer? WTF?! So, I tried to do it on my phone. When I play media and select "Preset 1" the audio starts to cut in and out. I sent in a support ticket. Hopefully they can do something to fix that.

You say “in my opinion” way to much IN MY OPINION 😂😂😂 most of these differences have nothing to with opinions it’s just a fact that the maxwells are better and even when it is up to opinion this is your video so of course it is your opinion ✌️up to your opinion.. but the 80 hour battery is just factually better no discussion ..
@@BLUE-wk8wh i mean i assume everything is my opinion since i made the video but i feel like people get way to offended so i have to put my opinion in front in case they disagree lol
@@ryanhostudio i get you .. and I hope you don’t take this the wrong way but it makes the whole thing sound a little weak when you have to make sure that people know it’s your opinion all the time ✌️ if I was you I would start or end the video with something like “this is all my opinion” you could even make it like a little catchphrase.. this is the first of your videos I’ve seen but what I look for in a reviewer is their opinion. Like if go check out Joshua Valor or one of z’s similar videos people comes for their opinion..
logitech not have multipoint(simultaneous bluetooth). Why not to say that?
