- Featured Truck: 2017 Ram with only Long Tube headers. How much does it make? This applies to any 5.7 even 6.4 Hemi vehicles
This video explains why it is important to get a tune after adding ling tube headers.
If you just add headers without a tune, it can cause the car/truck into a rich position thus robbing you of available power.
Seems about what should be expected. Everything I’ve seen shows the 8 speed to eat around 80-100 HP depending on wheel setup etc. so if that’s the case your stock pull was about spot on with the factory rating at the crank and then your tuned pull would be about 415 crank HP or so.

I have a 2018 Ram 1500 and want to have long tube headers installed. What is your recommended regarding a tuner afterwards. The only other modification is the cold air intake.
Get yourself a HpTuners MPVi3 device. And find someone locally to tune it or I could do it for you as well

Yes it can! Cost increases if you need the pcm unlock.

I think my manifold is broken cause it's ticking at startup but goes away when warm, should I go to headers?
Could be an exhaust leak. You won’t be disappointed with headers

@matrix1171 e85 makes more power than regular gas does. About 20-30 whp more to be exact
