I would say cancel culture is real in certain cases. For instance, Johnny Depp was cancelled - he was fired from movies and is not getting hired because he was cancelled due to the whole Amber Heard case. You can't say it is an accountability thing considering that anyone who actually looked into the case can see that he is most likely the victim here (Rachel Oates has a wonderful video talking about the whole thing, highly recommend it)
