Then again, most of the people who are upset about this whole situation just think she's not getting commissions anymore because she's a conservative vs pushing alt right conspiracy theories and donating to those groups. I'd say the vast majority of players are simply unaware of this whole situation and worse yet, I'd say a good portion of the pro-nielsen base are people who don't even play the game but simply follow "cancel culture" stories.

That seems unfair. She's allowed to vote and like whatever she does. It shouldn't even affect her work. They're even still using the Nielsen's art on cards in the new Jumpstart release and she's even confirmed to have cards in return to Zendikar. Also, I would ask that you see some of the other posts I've made throughout this thread, its not just a matter of Terese "liking" controversial figures, she's also financially supported qanon groups who've pushed racist and anti-semetic conspiracy theories in the past and some of those theories have led to people getting hurt or crimes being committed. Jace Williamson There really isn't none. She was brought into this negative spotlight by the Burchett incident because, according to that trash, Nielsen disapproved of trans people. I have not seen a single tweet where Nielsen disavows them, nor have I seen her endorsing racism, or any other -ism out there. She liked a couple of tweets and is a conservative. That's all there is to her decommissioning. It's quite unfair, and ridiculous. Here we have a decent human being who creates great art that fans truly love. I guess the new players don't hold her that high and don't care, but us, old school players love her work.

Gods, the work this woman has done is absolutely gorgeous. So many of these are iconic pieces too. The game will be even less for this stupid decision made by WOTC. I left the game a few years ago as they became more politically motivated. SilentmageLvX I'm curious as to which sort of suit she can file. Her work was done by commission, so the company could just state they didn't want to keep on commissioning. Also, I am from outside the U. S., so I know things work differently, but it's always good to know, because if she has the chance, she should definitely sue.

Ordered a few playmats from this amazing woman's store when I heard they canceled her. Will always be my favorite artist and it feels good to support her in these times. Following people on twitter does not mean you agree with them. I follow both Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump. What does that make me? There are probably a lot of topics I disagree with Terese, just like with every other person on this planet, and that's completely fine. Will not purchase any more products from WotC.

When I use to play magic in high school (that was along time ago) I would buy her cards and other specific mtg artist cards eg Greg Land, Kevin Walker, Richardson-Kane etc. .... ahh, I still have them in my small card box.
I grew up looking at her art and drawing my own interpretations of her poses and ideas. She captures such dynamic and dramatic scenes, with her textures and lighting. Reminds me a bit of Simon Beesly from heavy metal magazine

Heartbreaking. I can not wait for the day WotC finally shutters from their idiotic decisions. Here's a woman who was massively influential in the success of the game, loved by ACTUAL fans, and clearly loved what she did, and they're like "Nah, fuck off, you liked a tweet." Also, I am from outside the U. S., so I know things work differently, but it's always good to know, because if she has the chance, she should definitely sue.

And with Terese, she never talked about politics, or drew political art for Wizards. She likes some accounts that don't allign with some peoples views. (Including mine!, but again, it doesn't matter to me)

When I use to play magic in high school (that was along time ago) I would buy her cards and other specific mtg artist cards eg Greg Land, Kevin Walker, Richardson-Kane etc. .... ahh, I still have them in my small card box.

I think people should be allowed to have opinions no matter how controversial they might be as long as it isnt causing actual harm to others. She isnt painting hateful things or anything like that. While I understand that is WoTC prerogative, I still revere her art as amazing.

Don't agree with her politics but I'll always be a fan. When I was deployed I ordered a print from her. She noticed that I had a deployed address and sent me a personal note thanking me for my service.
