do you know how BTS is different from an average boy group? one of those is, its because they give it all when they perform. They do not think twice giving the best performances to their fans, imagine they spent $270K for this performance alone and to think this is just an award show. They receive so much blessings and they give back in many ways including giving us great performances. As what you have said they have their passion and yes indeed. They performed fake love, airplane pt.2 and idol with passion, energy, emotion, and sincerity. That's one of many great sides of BTS. If you will dive more, you will say "im glad i see such amazing artists that makes music transcends everything." Talentry and Artistry is in BTS's blood. They never disappoint. Tbh I ma not too surprised at this number though as I was doing some research on other huge Ido groups , ( for example ) I read up about Exo were worth as a group ( roughly ) over $800 Million at the end of 2017/early 2018 so I can only imagine that what BTS must be worth especially after such a powerful 2018. I am really into the numbers side of things In my spare time .

@@ChrisStillBeTalkin When talking about EXO's WORTH, they are actually saying what their Market Value is worth. Their actual wealth is LOT LESS as a group. Same with BTS. Their market value is well over 1.2 Billion dollars, but their actual Worth in Revenue for the company is Lot Less. BTS Doubled their market value in 2017 alone, and in 2018, they went crazy. They keep adding fans every year since Debut.

Speaking of which, I heard that Big Hit spend quite a pretty penny putting on this show. The thing is... this isn't even a concert. This was only 3 numbers. Wow. All 3 MAMA Performances? In Japan, they did a Dance Break in the middle of the Fake Love. If you look at the fam cam,, it looks WAY better since the camerawork wasn't that great in that one. I think that performance was just as good too.
BTS does the impossible. They're better live than they are in MV which is nuts since their albums and videos are already ridiculously high quality. They're just freaky man.
And you're correct. Their live performances are contagious af.
Loved watching your reaction to this. BTS, at the end of the day, is simply a joy to experience. They're so much fun. They go all out and make you feel like there's no place they'd rather be than performing for you. They don't just sing, rap and dance; they put on a whole freaking show, no matter how small the venue or how short their time slot. I listen to a lot of music, watch a lot of movies, plays, dance shows, live performances, etc. I have loved the performing arts my entire life. Out of those 38 years only a handful of artists have given me the kind of satisfaction I get from BTS nowadays. A satisfaction that has me actually spending money on them (because I don't pay for anything except the Internet in regards to entertainment 😉). I know this comment is a bit long but they are just that special to me.

Omg, same for me. I realized that what we've had in the US is and has been sub par entertainment and it makes me feel stupid (didn't know better) and sorry that I didn't know them in their beginning😡 but yes, they give 1000% and makes me do things better, even when I clean my house, I take a little more time to do a good job I approach everything like that now, even trash I take care to do properly instead of just tossing it however. It amazes me even TV shows/movies like you said can't compare. Tbh I don't really watch like i used to, I'm very selective now but give me a good Kdrama, movie, etc I'm happy. Thank you BTS!💜
Like your reaction a lot, but it seems like your reactions weren't synced up with the video. You talked about the Fake Love mirrored dance move, abs, and then when they disappeared awhile after it happened? Then talked about Jungkook sitting down for Airplane part 2 after his parent was almost done... But other than that technicality, I enjoyed your reaction!
So the whole performance is part of the theme and storyline they have been developing over the last two and a half years. The intro video referenced the Fake Love music video and probably also gave hints towards their new concept, which will follow the Love Yourself trilogy. The actual intro performance on stage referenced concept photos for the albums. The album trilogy is about different aspects and forms of love and the journey towards loving yourself. The first song, Fake Love, is about complying with other people's expectations/needs and not being your true self when you are in a relationship (it needn't actually be a romantic relationship). The second song, Airplane pt. 2, is very up-tempo and seems very carefree when in fact it is very introspective and talks about the duality of them performing for fans all over the world while at the same time not being sure about who they actually are. The third song, Idol, is a celebration of the idea of loving yourself no matter what other people might think of you. So it is the resolution of that inner conflict. It incorporates elements of traditional Korean culture (in abundance in this stage production) to celebrate their connection to their roots.

Their performance of Idol was recognized by UNESCO for cultural heritage and was listed as part of the World Intangible Heritage. It was due to the mask dance and the traditional music instruments.
I'm still.shook that Airplane pt 2 is basically a casual Diss song especially suga's verse. He basically is talking abt how groups from large companies pay to get air time. And basically saying BTD worked hard on their own efforts to get here and they still haven't changed. One of his lines is "you guys are the celebrities we are still us"
not exaggerating but this performance is probably the best in the history of south korea. probably one of the best in the world.
BTS is the best, if you continue to check back their past MV, Dance Practice, Performance, you will see how lit they are.

Ahhh I know 😶 When I was doing recording my computer randomly froze half way way and glitched so when I went to put it together the video I downloaded didnt go exactly with my audio ( whereas normally i screen record , but the quality isnt alway great ).

Never seen another group put a show on like bts does... the group is amazing and they have so much they do behind the scenes as well... but bighit and their team and the backup dancers and stuff... they create magic man... props and respects to all of them!!!
Edit: I also love the fact that people were talking shit to them and about them bc of the cutesy concept or colors or random outfits and their music videos and so they created “idol” basically to say they don’t care and they’re happy with themselves... and here they are performing this in front of tons of people who were the haters that created the idea of it.... how satisfying is that lol love it

This is how I generally read the whole performance:
- At the end of Fake Love when they put on a mask (not being themselves anymore), they disappear as in they lost themselves to the facade that they decide to put up (being idol and must be perfect in public or how people have to act a certain way to be accept in society).
- From self doubt song like Fake Love we go on a journey of self finding like Airplane part 2.
- From this journey we finally love ourself and where we come from in IDOL song (that's why BTS show their Korean root in performance). Thus the most celebratorial feel in this performance.

p.s. I can't help but imagine how hectic the backstage must be between the songs because they change outfit so quick! I won't be surprise if they use stripper technique to slip off the cloth quicker to get into another one.
BEST! There is no one else like BTS. They are truly a phenomenon, once in a lifetime group. I say this after every award show they performed. I know there will be no other group like BTS for me.

I've already watched this performance. Still can't find words to convey how amazingly superb BTS are.
You gotta remember that this is a AWARD SHOW, but, see ALL those Lights in the audience? They are the lights from the ARMY! Over 80% of the audience had the lights. K-Armys are STRONG in Korea. They are HARDCORE.
ICONIC PERFORMANCE.
Everyone must see BTS in concert even if it only once in your life. The energy just takes the roof off. The fanchants are amazing and the ARMY bombs light up the whole audience.All KPOP groups are good singers and dancers but BTS has emotions that come through and lift you. Besides singing and dancing and acting in their video clips, their lyrics are amazing and very deep in most songs.
You can also watch them on thier dance practice you can find idol,fire..dna..danger and more...
Every army‘s soul left their body and rose to the heavens with this performance! And everyone was so proud for showcasing their culture! The music of idol was played live by a traditional orchestra. After this performance the demand for traditional instruments and orchestras increased as far as I know. If you are interested innere traditional symbols in idol mv you can watch idol explained by a korean

The MAMA Hong Kong performance comes in several parts (although one video says "full performance"), make sure to find all, please. It's 18 minutes in total, so if the videos are shorter, it's not the complete performance. They did Airplaine pt. 2, O!RUL8,2? Remix and Idol (in this order).

IDOL is a fusion of african afrobeats (first time in south korea) and korean traditional elements, full of korean culture it in. the IDOL they used in this performance isnt the original version, this one is of korean traditional musical instruments, as u can hear it from their intro when they were dancing their traditional dances.

If u are interested u can also check out their Dance practice videos. They have at least one for every song. And i would recommend u to check their Songs and mvs to" blood, sweat and tears", " save me" and house of cards. The last one doesn't have a mv, but u can see the live performance.
Legitimately, you need to watch BTS Boy Meets Evil video.
If you watch some of the fan cam videos, they show the guys while the lift lowers the center stage back down and they basically collapse and ride it down. LOL. They are so goooooood! i would love to watch your reaction of BTS dance practices. The single, stationary camera let's you see the amazing synchronous and intense choreography. Bighit youtube channel has a playlist of BTS dance practices. They might be under BangtanTV channel name; sometimes that channel will post single camera performance videos too from award shows and more behind the scene footage. They don't have eng sub so Bangtansubs and JKdiamond are some of good channels for eng subs of dialogue. One of my favorite performances of BTS is their MAMA 2018 awards performance of Fake Love with a very creative dance break and staging and their Anpanman performance (not just the dance but how they totally hyped the crowd and were adorable dorks at the end). The choreo for the dance break for Fake Love isn't recorded the best so the Seoul Music Awards Performance was similar choreo of fake love and easier to see but less elaborate.

i feel like those dubs are only funny if you've been active in the fandom for a while.... if you want to react to a video of bts themselves being funny it'd probably be more entertaining and help familiarize you with the group better than a spoof fan dub. there are plenty of funny fan made compilations of bts funny moments that i'm sure ppl could recommend, like i know squishy min yoongi's "bts being the funniest boyband in the world for 10 min straight" or bangtansus's "namjoon being done with bts' english" or "bts in america in a nutshell" videos are commonly suggested. or you could still check it out and just react with one of those other bts funny moment videos since it's short?

As a dancer yourself, all the details of their work should be interesting. Even if you don't react to it (tho you def should, it is sooo worth it), I think you would like to watch this. Could you react to a Record Label called Planetarium Records, there are 6 solo artists under that label but sometimes they collab together and make songs under the name PLT (they are not a group though) individually they are all amazing too!
My favourites are PLT - Hocus Pocus & PLT - Blah (PLT - Igoholic is really good too but that song is definitely heavy on the autotune, which fits the song but doesn't show how good they are vocally)
They aren't Kpop but K Hip Hop R&B etc, though individually they have very different styles of music (for example Gaho does a lot of ballads)
Also they don't dance etc/ they aren't a boyband. They're super underrated so it would be great if you could do a reaction to them

HE'S A MEMBER OF A GROUP CALLED SHINEE (which are 2nd generation kpop or basically exo's older brothers [bc they debuted first before exo, theyre in the same company with exo and nct as well btw] but theyre just almost the same ages. Taemin and Kai (exo) and Jimin (bts) are actually bffs since their trainee days) he has also collabed with ian eastwood in his song "Danger".
That's why we were really angry that bts just get a collab performance in grammy. That's disgusting. They can perform 5x way better than all performer in grammy 2020 if they did a single performance.
