Thank you! I wished I knew the allen key trick BEFORE taking door off. While the door was off I had to push the hinge to the open position and place an allen inside. Kind of dangerous because the hinge was strong and wanted to kick back. Anyone in this situation I advice using something like a small crow bar to push the hinge to the lock position, don't do it by hand.
Thansk for your question, our video is a general guide however It may be better to reach out to the manufacturer for specific instrucitons relating to your oven model.
Dear Friend: We have a Whirpool WFE770HDFZ1. I have been trying to clean the oven door (inside), but spite following instructions to the letter, the door won't come off at the angle specified (45 degrees) pulling any which way! My husband pulled in a little and up and the whole stove moved forward but the door did not release! I also looked for those "holes" to insert the allen keys are they are not there. Any idea what we are doing wrong, or what the problem may be? Thanks for your learned response!:)
HI Vivian thanks for reaching out. The instructions are general instructions however there are some variations according to your make/model. I have found some instructions for the Whirlpool oven - you can view these here producthelp.whirlpool.com/Cooking/Wall_Ovens_and_Ranges/Product_Info/Oven_Product_Assistance/Removing_and_Replacing_the_Oven_Door If you would like us to send you a PDF version of instructions, just send an email to spares@statewideapp.com.au and we can email directly to you. Thanks Vivian, hope this helps :) Mary, Statewide Appliance Spares
