🤣🤣🤣I know right!! I'm an old fart, so I had heard about this years ago. I've been cleaning my over door like that for years. Plus I do use the razor on the inside too. You're too young to remember having to defrost the freezer in your refrigerator. Now that was a stinking job. Boiling pots of water and putting them inside to thaw it out faster and have to line the bottom with lots of dry towels to catch what thaws. It was tripping. Lol
No one in my life has ever made me WANT to clean!! Lol. I have streaks running down the inside of my oven glass which has been driving me nuts so thank you!!!
Wow!!! I never knew this!!! I can’t wait to clean the inside of my oven door!! I have been racking my brain on how to do it!! Thank you so much!! Stay tuned!!
I was so disgusted with my oven’s appearance, I was about to go out and buy a new one. After pricing them I thought there’s got to be a better way. And bang you provided it. My oven looks so much better now. Now I can start pricing a washer and dryer. Thank you!
My door came apart easily. I’m glad you said to hold onto the glass because it did spring up. When I tried to put it back together I realized that I didn’t see how the sides(which fell off when I took the screws off) were attached. The handle also feel off so I kinda needed another hand to hold all the parts together until I could get the screws back in place. But I am stubborn so I didn’t get help. Now for the last problem I could not find the second screw anywhere. So I had to tape the left side of the door together until I can get one at the hardware store. Other than that it went real well. Lol. I pray it can stay clean for sometime now and I know I will love how it looks also, thanks for the lesson!
😢😢When working on projects that require the removal of screws, keep a good magnet handy. It helps to keep all the small metal parts together so you don't waste time looking the MIA parts.
While putting a tray of muffins into the oven it somersaulted over and landed upside down. Batter spewing all over in the crevices of the door. Thank you for this video. It saved the day AND got my oven door the cleanest it’s been in years!!!
Thank you soooo much💐 I rent and the glass was already streaked. It was so easy and I don't have to hide the streaks with towels. I'll be watching for more tips.
Everything was as you said except that my oven door handle is also held on by the two screws that you have to loosen. I had a hard time getting it back on by myself as I live alone. I needed a second person to hold it while I screwed it back together.👍🏼

Thanked god I found a video of someone having the same oven as mine! My oven doesn’t come off or has that hinge thingy. And I get frustrated because I want to clean the inside of the glass aha
WHY do they make the door like this? It's gets disgusting. thank you for this video. I've waited TEN years to clean this and also was ready to just get a new stove. I just saw a Feng Shui video that says a CLEAN STOVE opens the door for ABUNDANCE in your life...I'm cleaning my stove!
One word of caution: be careful of the sharp metal edges of the door/ window when taking it apart and reassembling it. I cut myself last time..not badly but finger cuts hurt like hell. 😉
@@AndreaJean thanks but not to worry. If that's the worst injury I'll ever suffer I consider myself fortunate indeed! Just a cautionary note because we've all probably had cut fingers..even paper cuts..and because of the amount of nerve ends in our fingers and how often we use those little digits you'd think we lost an entire limb. Also clean any laceration well to avoid infection. 😃
@@kimberleerivera3334 I totally agree! Ladies, protect your hands and keep them looking young and beautiful. Believe me, when you get to be 73 years old you will be glad you took good care of your hands! Wear good thick gloves whenever you clean and keep chemicals off your hands!
Ok, a *WARNING!*: On Many/Most ovens, the inside pane of glass is a tempered/pyrex like glass and the outside pane is NOT, SO you MUST be sure to not remove and install the 2 panes in the wrong order! (Often they look identical!) BECAUSE the outside pane can not take the inside heat of the oven without shattering! A few years ago I did this with an older Gemini double oven. I used the smaller top oven the most. I had 4 screws across the top on the white part above where yours are inside the oven. All the screws went back in except for one! Fortunately it did not affect the oven but I wonder what a pro would know about that?! I will not attempt to do with my newer oven:( Unless of course I find some trouble shooting solutions first! Good job btw!
Yes, the old flyswatter hack for stoves ( with additional slide in glass) Word to the wise; be careful if you use a wire one, it may scratch the glass.
AJC, you make it look so EASY. Gotta admit, though, the thought of dismantling my oven door, or doing what you just did scares the b'jezus outta me!!! Think I might just rather have it dirty! Thanks for the tip.
My old lady had been complaining about the streaks on the glass for ages, so I took the door off, removed the glass, cleaned, and put it all back. It looked as clean and shiny as new. Until we used it again and the streaks re-appeared. These ovens that don't afford easy access to the glass are just badly designed.
Took mine apart and regretted it. The whole thing fell apart. Very sharp metal edges in there, and I just couldn’t get it back together properly. Had to call in a pro and even he had a hard time. Will do the fly swatter and rag up the slot in the future!
Thank you for the fly swatter comment. I didn't want to unscrew the door. I folded micro fiber cloths and sewed the top closed then put over a fly swatter. Used a second one to dry. Worked great!

Make sure your drawer is not just a facade. Or perhaps it's only a broiler? But it still should open. Check to see if it's correctly aligned on the rails or that nothing is blocking it. Good luck, dearie

You should always make sure glass is always wet when using a blade, per professional glass cleaners. Also, the door actually should come off the hinges and can be laid on a flat surface without disassembling the entire door itself making it easier to clean.
I told my spouse about this ..I been warned that if I do this and the oven gets messed up cause of it..I am going to have a very angry spouse..so now I am truly torn..gonna have to leave it dirty
