Omg yall stayed in the exact same site we did at that KOA! We loved our stay there. All of the staff there were super friendly and helpful, and the park is so peaceful and just pretty!
Wonderful. First time watching your channel and loved how you secured your pet for the drive, all people should do that. I also liked the mansplaining the steps of preparing for a trip in simple terms. Can't wait for the next vid.
GD is having a hard season right now. Watching what Paving New Paths is going through. We love watching you guys. Chad has taught me a bunch from your channel. GD better treat you guys well or I'll stage a protest in front of their facilities and office.
It would be interesting to hear your opinion on the most popular "Rear Living room / kitchen" floorplan vs the Toy Hauler Living Room / Kitchen layout.
I’m so glad you’re back on the road. I love watching your videos because you keep it real. You mix your videos with real life issues such as health and things. I love seeing the different RVs and how you take life with a grain of salt. You’re my favorite family. Can’t wait to see more of you this year.
Have you guys ever tried a class C? We have a nice 32footer and tow a 4WD vehicle behind it. I cant go back to truck towing now it’s so much easier to be inside the RV while traveling! Makes everything less complicated and smoother on travel days. Of course I can’t bring a motorcycle with so you guys would be out of luck there!
We have a ‘21 Reflection 303RLS. Wouldn’t want anything bigger or smaller. IMO, a perfect 5er for a couple. Easy to tow with our F250 Diesel, easy to park, plenty of room. We love it.
Thank you for asking for our take on this issue. We're honored that you value our opinion on this topic enough to ask us. We also understand how scary it can be to read some of the hype online. Chad quick note we are getting reports about fram Failure on all grand designs. We know your a spokesman for the company and your would help people buy grand design... Can you do a video on their fram flix and wall separation.... its getting bad 👎
😊 we have stayed at the campground you are at and have a rear living camper so we pulled in so the rear was facing the water. Had to run the power and sewer under the camper but not a big problem and we could watch the sunset.
I laughed as you were setting up the trailer. It was like watching a new RV owner going through their first year of ownership. The oven pan not fitting made me think of big city mouse moving into a country mouse home. (😂😂) enjoyed your video as always. You are a trusted source of information.

Did you miss the part in this video where we said we do not get paid a dime from GDRV? It's in there.. take a look. We also discussed how we've made a video about every problem we've ever had over the last 6 years. We even have a separate playlist of them (22 videos) here: th-cam.com/play/PLMg04_vIaei4XGOdYPNpr33r9XKz7NCTA.html I don't know what your other comment was, but we don't see all comments across all platforms. This one just happened to show up while having coffee this morning.
Meanwhile, the SRT is back at the cabin repairing the frame that broke because truck and trailer were unceremoniously yanked up the driveway resulting in frame problems for the RV.
On my ‘04 Montana 3295RK I can lift one front landing gear at a time (opposite side will carry it) if I screw up and set the legs too low to level. Not sure you could do that with today’s 5er’s with all of the frame flex issues.
We've been to the Mt. Pleasant KOA several times and have enjoyed each stay. The camp store office has some nice items for purchase. Really helpful, friendly staff too.
Did your drive deteriorate since your other toy hauler? Just wondered why the difference in being able to maneuver the drive? I don’t recall an issue with your other model. Not questioning your abilities just curious if there’s a difference in one or the other?
We've been watching alot of utubers about their frame failures with Grand Design. Specifically with Momentum and Solitude. Was wondering if you guys have had any issues. It really sad when a family can invest so much mony in an RV and get no help from Grand Design. I hope you guys don't have any issues.

Just because of you, we have those same 2 pop up Christmas trees like you have on your steps. We put both of them out on our front porch. Thanks to my couponing, I get batteries really cheap. They are really cute.
Another awesome video. I haven't been around a ot but I saw your video pop up and had to check it out.. You videos really get me pumped to get one for my wife and I. Be safe and I'll keep watching..
Great video, informative as always. A sanitizing hack I use is to fill the water filter canister with the right amount of bleach, fill the freshwater tank, then run it through the system.
We do not get paid by GDRV, and they have zero control over what we say. If you've watched our channel for a while, you might know that we've produced MANY videos about RV problems with our Grand Design RVs. In fact, we cover EVERY issue, and there are 22 videos of them organized in their own playlist here: changinglanesrv.com/ytpl-rv-problems Regarding the “frame flex” issue (which is really a broken frame - the frame is designed to flex), we only make videos about first-hand experience, and we've never had a frame issue. While it would get a ton of views (and that would make money), for us to make a video based on hearsay and speculation would be irresponsible and only feed the mob mentality of social media.
We enjoy your videos, they're great! They are so entertaining and professional. It's fun to try a new rig! Daisy is so adorable! I had a Daisy who was a black boykin spaniel - named after Daisy Duke.
We have a Montana 294RL with that same 4 point auto level system and it took us abit to get used to how much extendable leg to drop in the front to allow the auto level system to retract enough especially on a driveway that slopes down a lot. We love the ground control system because we're able to see just how many degrees we're off level side to side in the event we need to throw a block under the wheels on one side.
Nice to try a shorter RV. Hope you share a couple more videos on this 28RL. I would love to see how you decided to store items - kitchen, computer and video items, etc.
You GUys say MORE about the ingredients of the "macro" Than their website. Click ANYTHING and you gotta sign up... Thanks for talking about the whats in that Donut!
You have the best music for your videos. I love it. OOh, that narrow section with semi trucks looked very scary. Daisy is so cute. I would like a small dog like her.
Looks just like our 2017 GD Reflection 29RS. I will tell you, your kitchen slide is gonna fail.due to a design flaw (not me that says that but a GD authorized repair shop said they see this a lot with GD and the use of in wall slides mechanisms and large slide outs). I thought GD fixed it but looks like GD reintroduced this issue. Ours failed and broke the wall frame between the entry door and the kitchen slide. Cost me $5k to "fix": it...not really a fix however. Good luck!
Great video and you chose several of my regular visited places. I hadn't seen you guys recently because TH-cam always messing with algorithm. And immediately I wondered what happened to your custom designed much larger RV. Then I saw what happened wow, I hope you get everything fixed to make coming in and out much better. Take care and safe travels.
I miss RVing so much but we just got tired of the “always something!!” We had a Super C and after our last trip of generator AND a problem with the def sensor to the tune of $9k, we’re done! But I’m so sad and miss it so much. I just wish someone out there would make a rig that worked well!! 😩😢
Got to say to buy any kind of RV is a huge risk, they are such POS, and the quality are so bad anymore it's just one horror show after another! Grand is the worse to be honest
Not sure that Ford F450 dually can tow that Reflection! 😁 Also I-26 north of Columbia is a horror show. But if you really want to beat your rig to death, take I-95 off of I-26 going to Savannah. Nightmare roads.
We much prefer having a Camp Side Slide as that is where the views are always at! Our 303 fits into smaller state and federal parks and can also tow a small trailer or boat behind it and be within legal limits in most states
What are the pads to use for when you use the ramp on the back of the toy hauler to load up toys? I have a 21G Momentum and are soon going to put a toy in it but don't have those pads to protect the garage door when it is on the ground. Thank you!
How wide did you take your first right turn? 😊 nice little 5th wheel. I know when we go from our semi with a 53ft trailer to our 3500HD and 397th, we laugh.
I think many RVers are discovering it’s just not fun or practical to drag around a house. They are great to stay in, parked. Not great to actually travel with. We started with a 32 ft. Fifth wheel and loved the luxury, but definitely did not like towing or just how big/tall it was when moving and parking it. After just couple trips and the COVID years in storage, we sold it and got a 23 ft. TT. It’s been great, not a “home” but a fabulous camper. We thought about “full-timing” but we love having our home to go back to - as many full timers are going back and living in houses after discovering the being nomadic gets old and is not cheaper. Your picture comparing the size of your rigs shows that the big one is almost twice the size of the other (which is still pretty LARGE) that shows the big one is just too huge!
We have a 2020 GD Reflection 337RLS and love it, we have all electric jacks and the two main slides sound just like that one you have! Love the Reflection line
Did I hear properly, you used 1/4c per gallon? . We have an arctic fox 27-5L Almost every thing is accessible with slides in. It has proven to be the perfect couples trailer, but we're also not carrying a motorcycle :) They way I looked at the larger 5th wheels, they really don't gain you much, except a bunch of useless space and multiple couches. This unit does have a heavy pin, given the overall size of the trailer, and in full travel mode, I've just about maxed out payload on my F350D
We started out with a 28ft. 5th Wheel, the downside for us was it only had one A/C. My husband travelled with it for work in places that reached over 100° temps. 🥵 Always worried it would quit working. Upgraded to a 36ft 5th Wheel with 2 A/C.😊 The 28 trailer works great for 2 people.
We've had our 36' Phaeton now for four years, thinking of possibly changing up, and trying a 5th wheel, but once arrival happens, our coach seems so simple (especially on a rainy day) where we pull up, put out one slide (plenty of room for us both) and if needed, I'll put a block under the low tire, and not even use our levellers, and we're done. Of course having the wet bay, where everything is makes sanitation easier as well, in not having to crawl under the unit. I know the 'pluses' of fifth wheels, but no setting up of stairs is another one with the coach, yet I do miss my old F450 dually King Ranch, where we hauled our Arctic Fox slide in camper to the Yukon & Alaska and back amongst other trips to Utah for ATV riding in the back country! Still side lined, on changing up, yet our coach is getting older, but so far I've been able to keep up on the 'fix-it's. Thanks for the video, always enjoy the many locations you share with us, along with the upgrades Chad does, and a very late 'Happy Birthday' to Chad as well!
I-26 near Columbia is horrible, you would think DOT would still have some kind of tolerances with temporary portions of road. We live in Summerville near Charleston, the KOA in Mount Pleasant is very nice. BTW if you like BBQ you need to go to Lewis’s BBQ the best brisket there is. If you like seafood, you need to try The Wreck of Richard and Charlene, it’s in Mt Pleasant.
Have you ever camped at Lakewood RV Resort in Myrtle Beach S.C. we have camled there for 30 plus yrs thats where we always took our kids when they were growing up now taking grand kids there now ! There is a water park for kids and a water park for Grown up kids ! Also we camp a lot in Pigeon Forge Tenn. Its bout 11/2 from Church Hill Tenn. Working man can only camp when he takes off or id do a lot more trips to different places but vacation only lasts so long ! Once again Happy Camping to you all !
We use that surge guard from Southwire on our Reflection 150 series 260rd 5ver and love it. I can sit in my chair drinking some Barley pops and know everything about my trailer using the surge guard Bluetooth and my Compass Connect. I can control all. I am Oz of my campsite!
Sorry but glad to hear you finally got stuff together. I was gonna go Black Series about 3 years ago I noticed their quality had drastically changed in a bad way (I live relatively close to city of industry). I was seeing all sort of “cheap” changes from the year previous. Long story short the wife and I changed our minds and searched high n low for about 2 years and bought ourselves a x195 Imperial outdoors. Black Series is a pretty trailer, but lost they way/roots when they went full chineasium for profit. They conpanu should be ashamed to call themselves an “outback” caravan.
We stayed there a few summers back. Awesome location and campground! So I have the same auto-level system and my unit has a "ground front jacks" option. Yours doesn't?
When you park if the front end is nose high you don't drop the front jacks as low, If the front end is low you'll need to drop the front jacks further. If the front end is really low the front jacks may not have enough lift to get it off the truck, but that's rare. And when that happens you raise the front end and use other jacks or blocks to hold the frame up, retract the jacks and drop the jack extensions lower, then extend the jacks again. I use a bubble level app on my cell on the floor inside the door to get some idea how high/low the front end is. Also when unhitching pull straight forward and clear the truck from under the RV then level the RV, that way if you must re-hitch to adjust the landing legs shorter you don't waste time getting lined back up. 371MBH 41' fiver. Don
Please, please, please never dump anything containing anti-freeze on the ground, regardless of your location or what the ground surface consists of. Anti-freeze is basically alcohol and thus has a sweet smell to it that attracts most animals, and they ingest it Their livers and kidneys have no way to process alcohol, so it ends up making them very ill, usually fatally so. Don't ask me how I learned this, it was an extremely heart-breaking lesson, tho it wasn't anti-freeze *I* had dumped on the ground. Even small amounts of anti-freeze can kill animals, so ALWAYS flush anti-freeze into someplace it can be contained and kept away from any animals.
After having a huge RV it's fun to take something smaller, lighter, and more maneuverable RV on occasion.
We just left that KOA when I’m watching this video. Back in 2012 we had that Reflection and loved it. So cozy and easy to fit anywhere. Safe travels.
Omg yall stayed in the exact same site we did at that KOA! We loved our stay there. All of the staff there were super friendly and helpful, and the park is so peaceful and just pretty!
Glad to see daisy is harnessed in. Safe for the ride!
My aunt lived in Mt Pleasant, beautiful town, with great food around.
We've stayed there before when we went shrimping for a weekend. Nice place. Happy late birthday Chad!!
I have a Montana Highcountry 295 RL and I love it and after seeing this reflection I’m glad I got the Montana Highcountry
Blessings from Greer,SC!
Enjoy❤ Happy Birthday Chad 🎉
Cries in Canadian this makes me want to un winterize and start camping!!!

It's not just Paving new paths. I have been seeing a lot of issues with frame failure in GD RVs. They are building crap in nice rappers.
They said they worked with GD, designing their new RV. I doubt they will be addressing any issues on this Channel.
Nice. You guys have a very nice home and RV's I bet you get good fuel mileage with small RV 👍👍
Happy Birthday Chad. Hope you had a great day
It would be interesting to hear your opinion on the most popular "Rear Living room / kitchen" floorplan vs the Toy Hauler Living Room / Kitchen layout.
Oh, those are NICE! You get a lot of floorplan options when you nix the garage. 😊
I’m so glad you’re back on the road. I love watching your videos because you keep it real. You mix your videos with real life issues such as health and things. I love seeing the different RVs and how you take life with a grain of salt. You’re my favorite family. Can’t wait to see more of you this year.

Nice, we love Reflections, we have the 337RLS. We are looking forward to see where you go next.
Always enjoy your videos.
Happy birthday Chad.
We bought a second one too! We call it the wiener wagon. Don't need a monster 5th for a quick weenie roast near home.
At $60,000 ?
Hope you got enough truck for that huge heavy thing...Haha...rolling closet.
Side note dont sneeze N that thing, youll blow the walls out.

Weather is awesome here in Charleston, come on down! Still a little cool in the morning (40s) but touching mid 70s in the day all weekend long!❤
Sorry everybody... it's been like 40-55 since I posted this comment. That's my fault, jinxed it for the rest of us! ;)
The water heater should have been by passed when winterizing, should not need to sanitize that.
Found your channel about 3-4 weeks ago and I can’t stop watching. I’ve been looking at RV’s a lot lately.
Welcome aboard! 😀
Mt Pleasant KOA is great. Spent a week there about 18 months ago. Charleston is a wonderful place to visit.
I love this smaller camper looks more manageable . Enjoy your trip 😎🐾🐾
I didn't think you guys would respond to my statement three days ago, its understandable when you are a paid affiliate of GRAND DESIGN.... I guess you don't want to ruin your paycheck.....

In my neighborhood!!!
Ya. Come south. Florida is almost empty right now. 🙄
1. As a South Carolinan we hate I-26 aswell....
2. "Hold still" auto level part was hilarious.
3. Doggy getting excited to go in New Rv was ADORABLE.
Thank you very much. That really is roomy for bing so short. I have a class A and I am thinking about going back to a towable. Perfect size!
Nice timing on the review of the reflection, we just bought a 27BH
Meanwhile, the SRT is back at the cabin repairing the frame that broke because truck and trailer were unceremoniously yanked up the driveway resulting in frame problems for the RV.
Happy Birthday, young feller!
Happy Birthday Chad. Watching this video and the set up makes me appreciate our Momentum. Safe travels.
Exciting journey ahead! Loved seeing your prep and the new RV tour. Can't wait for more adventures! 😊
Sad the camp side has no windows. That is a deal breaker.
I have the same floorplan in my Salem Hemisphere 34" bumper pull. We really like the set up.
Did your drive deteriorate since your other toy hauler? Just wondered why the difference in being able to maneuver the drive? I don’t recall an issue with your other model. Not questioning your abilities just curious if there’s a difference in one or the other?
If that's 2 weeks prior to Christmas how come just now making it to your channel in mid February?
Nice rig. We have the 29RS which is the same layout with the exception of a bedroom slide.
It's a nice "couples coach".
Safe travels!

I just purchased a 2024 Reflection 150 series 260RD and found you video helpful and informative. Thanks for sharing.
Just watched the newest video. Great job! I guess the smaller could be easier to handle for quick short trips. Can't wait for your next video.
Happy late Birthday Chad🎉🎉🎉🎉🍾🍾🎂🍩🍨 Like the smaller RV also Daisy looks so cute running around!! Safe travels Tara and Chad.

Had to laugh at your opinion of I26. Like all roads in SC, it sucks!!
Didn't you just buy design and purchase a new RV? What was wrong with the other one? You were a brand ambassador I thought.
If you watch the video, all of those questions will be answered. 😊
We are heading to Charleston in June. I can't wait! I miss the RV.
Great video guys!!!

I will say that the interstates in New Hampshire are for the most part excellent. Not bad for a low tax state.@@ChangingLanes

You dont lock the watch dog to the pole? $ 400-500 some one will steel it.....?
I have a question ❓. How do you guys deal with rats. I just got an RV and my fear is getting a rat in my new home
Highly recommend James Island County Park at Charleston. Especially at Christmas as the park is loaded with Christmas lights.

The truth always
The biggest pain is not being able to get to the refrigerator with the slide in on travel days
True... we put that side's slide out for lunch stops.

Your picture comparing the size of your rigs shows that the big one is almost twice the size of the other (which is still pretty LARGE) that shows the big one is just too huge!
That’s a big change from the 410 to the 100 series. We have the 150 series and love it for our part time home.
What’s your mpg difference?
Welcome to screaming Shwintek slides!
Pulling that Reflection is like me pulling my 28’ Imagine 23LDE with my diesel F-350….. what trailer?
Have you ever camped at Lakewood RV Resort in Myrtle Beach S.C. we have camled there for 30 plus yrs thats where we always took our kids when they were growing up now taking grand kids there now ! There is a water park for kids and a water park for Grown up kids ! Also we camp a lot in Pigeon Forge Tenn. Its bout 11/2 from Church Hill Tenn. Working man can only camp when he takes off or id do a lot more trips to different
places but vacation only lasts so long !
