7:20 - 7:48 we have all forgotten the reserve shooter (it's technically a shotgun but it's different enough also it's hinted at during pyro section but let me point something out)
I agree with a lot of the list. However, you miss one important detail: Australiums are based on the most used weapons. The only realistically new australiums we'd get are for the mercenaries: Scout: Soda popper and Pistol Soldier: Direct hit and Market Gardener Pyro: Backburner and Degreaser or Phlog Demoman: Iron bomber and Scotman's skull cutter Heavy: Sandvich and Second Banana or Holiday Punch Engineer: Wrangler and Gunslinger Sniper: Razorback and Cozy Camper or Jarate Medic: too easy, Crusaders Crossbow and Ubersaw Spy: Kunai and Diamondback or Stock revolver.
the mad milk and jarate are way too out there lol. also aussie stock spy revolver looks very good, I like the simpler designs that don't go overboard. I also think the phlog has potential
Yep, plus they're considered op in comp, and almost op in casual, those two will likely get gas passer type of nerf(need dmg to charge faster, you don't instantly spawn with refilled milk etc) so why add aussie for the unlock that likely will get nerf?
@@Slimpicken yea he took a poorly implemented community mod version of the australium and says "wow, look how awful this looks" without really thinking about how it would look on his own or giving his own ideas sometimes
I've always felt it weird that there is no Australium Gunslinger. Remember what being in contact with Australium does in the lore? Become a super manly Mann complete with super high physical strength and chest hair. Why and how is this not already a thing?
Also engineers grandfather - the guy who designed the sentry - was in contact with Australium while making the infinite life machines enough that he felt the effects of it
I think Demoman should have an australium Chargin’ Targe for the same reason why you chose the Tide Turner as an australium. An australium Scotsman’s Skullcutter would be a great alternative for Demonknights if they want another weapon that isn’t an australium Eyelander. An australium Hitman’s Heatmaker for Sniper would be great too because it is one of his most used primaries in MVM, As well as fitting the fancy look of the weapon it’s based off. I would love for an australium Big Earner for Spy because it fits with the mobster look it was going for, And it would also be in black and gold.
For Pyro, the best flame thrower for the job is the Degreaser in my opinion. It significantly changes the way you play the class (from a close range generalist to a combo character), it has enough metallic parts to look relatively clean, and it's one of his most used weapons for many players. The Dragon's Fury needs a strange, sure, but the war paint designed around it and it alone looks better than an Australium realistically could.
I don't think it has a particular niche as a combo weapon anymore ever since standard weapon switch time was reduced across all weapons and the bonus on the degreaser was made smaller, as well as being split into draw and holster restricted to itself only, instead of applying one perk to the whole loadout. If I remember correctly you can even do a flare punch on an enemy pyro with the stock flamethrower now. I agree on the Dragon's Fury though. Since Jungle Inferno is kind of technically still going with the contracts being available, it's been having its 15 minutes of fame for the best part of five years already. It doesn't need australium.
As in avid Shortstop user, I personally want an Australium Shortstop. The Shotgun, Loose Cannon, and Dragon's Fury are also some choices I'd like to see, and maybe the Overdose if we're feeling fancy.
Personally I think that australium Gunboats would look sweet on a soldier. An aussie you can wear! And it would count maybe rocket jump kills with it and/or distance travelled while rocket jumping.
That makes sense and if it was a one-off it would probably be perfect, but personally I've long wished for there to be a strange counter for 'damage resisted', which would be applicable to so many items as a strange part as well.
My only gripe with the Dragon’s Fury is that it doesn’t have a ton of visible gold on the first person model. I’d personally extend it to the lighter pipe as well, just to push a bit more of the gold scheme without it seeming overbearing. The main pipe stays the same, but you get a bit more bling.
sharpened volcano can be logical, as, it IS filled with obsidian and stone. though, shiny flecks/flakes of gold inside of it, isn't amuzing. and if its the entire thing exept for the magma, it would melt
I actually like the idea of aussifying the unpopular weapons, in the hopes of spurring players to make the most of the unoptimal or bad weapons. Also, I'd like an aussie Three-Rune Blade for Scout. But maybe it's too much like the Eyelander.
Good video! I really like how the black and gold designs look, as well! I'd also like to see how you'd rate potential festives like you did for these. Some of the concepts I've seen for them look pretty nice.
20:00 Personally, I'd make an Australium Fortified Compound, as a compound bow would look better golden than the wood of the stock bow... but that's just me.
an idea i had for an mvm update is them making botkillers mk3, that function similarly to warpaints, so that way you can have botkillers on decorated weapons or other australium weapons, imagine putting a diamond bot killer onto an australium rocket launcher, or a carbonado bot killer onto a top shelf wrench, maybe have botkillers on weapons other than stock like the brass beast or the soda popper
Just wait until a Demo shows up rocking a Somewhat Threatening Unusual Mountaineering Festivized Specialized Killstreak Carbonado Botkiller Gifting Mann's Wrapping Paper Stickybomb Launcher Mk. III.
"I believe this would be the first time in TF2 history where the stock weapon was ignored for the Aussie Pick not once, but twice." Weezy not long after suggesting doing the exact same for Medic primaries.
Wdym bro, Medic's primary weapon is the Crusader Crossbow. What else could it be? Some syringe gun like the Blutsauger (which already has one), the Overdose (which is fun if you got the full movement speed buff, but wouldn't look very appealing I think), or something like that?
this is the only item that actually feels rare and special compared to modern unusuals these days, every update there's gonna be always another community created unusuals and there's just so many of them that it doesn't look that rare to me anymore
As many of you know, Diamondback is inspired by Deus Ex Human Revolution revolver. And the funny thing is that there is kinda aussy variant in DXHR already. So yeah, if choosing between Big Kill and Diamondback, I'd totally go with Diamondback, because in DXHR, that "aussy" revolver looks sick
To be honest, I'd give the big kill/stock revolver treatment to fortified compound as well. The weapon is usually a preferred choice in looks as far as I know and because of that, we really do need a strange variant of this bow.
I like the idea of a australiumifier, like a strangeifier or whatever it's called, it just makes the weapon australium, probably will be rarer than a golden pan 👍
@@westernsavage2313 It would probably have different tagging/naming so it's more like the difference between festive and festivised weapons, so that F2P wouldn't feel any worse than people that festivised their normal shotgun, etc.
0:15 on this case, billy IS actually pressing the F4 key, naturaly, a human would do that, i play MvM too and i am in the same case, my f4 key has another use, so, probably billy doesnt know how to change it.
I think for the sniper the correct choice for the primary would be the Bazaar Bargain, it's in my experience the second most popular rifle (after stock), and after two or three kills is pretty much the best sniper rifle in the game.
At the end of my first ever mann up tour on MvM i got an australium SMG I just wanted to brag about that, that's all, ill update this comment when i actually finish the video
23:58 "but i think the golden ham would be far more representative of tf2s artstyle" he- he does know this isnt even from tf2 right? its a dont starve promo item (ala the wilson weave)
If Valve does ever add more Australium weapons to the game to incentivize more players playing MvM, they're also likely going to have to fix a lot of the bugs like with firing speed on Heavy and Engie's Sentry for example, because if they don't then I suspect the community will get angry at Valve for updating MvM but not fixing the several bugs it has
I think the community is so desperate for an update (it’s been more than 5 years since any major updates to TF2 at all, much less MVM) that anything new would be met with overwhelming positivity.
I think the BFB would look good with an Australium version. It's a design without too much going on, especially when compared to the soda popper or backscatter, and the contrast between the metal parts and non metal parts would look super nice.
If they just gave the loose cannon an australium variant the bot crisis would have never happened Also if I ever get an australium, depending on what it is, I probably won’t festivize it, because the clean look of an untampered Aussie looks amazing Also I think a fortified compound australium would look better
14:05 Back in the Golden Ages rich people used to eat pure gold to show their wealth, so I could easily see this as a australium, maybe they could even put a funny line about the people who ate gold back then (they died shortly after eating it but we don't care)
An Aussie ham could look like it's covered in gold flakes, having pieces of them coming off as you move like any of the smoking related effects or the earbuds

In terms of reskins that would be good for Australiums...
- Three Tune Blade
- C.A.P.P.E.R.
- Original
- Nostromo Napalmer
- Giger Counter
- Fortified Compound
- Shooting Star
- Black Rose
- Ap-Sap (bonus points if Wheatly pretends to be snobby in his lines)
- Any of the bread monster weapons since it'd give the monster gold teeth
Also, I kinda like the idea of an Autralium crossing guard cause the idea of someone painting a railroad crossing sign gold to make sure people pay attention to it is one of those "so crazy it just might work" things.
tbh I think their should be an australium big earner aswell
Honestly an Australium wrap assassin would be pretty dope like a golden wrap and ball
7:20 - 7:48 we have all forgotten the reserve shooter (it's technically a shotgun but it's different enough also it's hinted at during pyro section but let me point something out)
he said doing another shotgun would be redundant
Australium weapons in tf2 have always seemed like a strange case to me.
It's the og gold skin
Oh shit, here we go again...
On one hand if you like how the weapon work but hate how it look its nice to have another option
you have never had an original thought in your life. when people say npc, you are the kind of person they are reffering to.
@@tubegerm6732 weapon reskins in tf2 have always seemed like a strange case to me
I agree with a lot of the list.
However, you miss one important detail:
Australiums are based on the most used weapons. The only realistically new australiums we'd get are for the mercenaries:
Scout: Soda popper and Pistol
Soldier: Direct hit and Market Gardener
Pyro: Backburner and Degreaser or Phlog
Demoman: Iron bomber and Scotman's skull cutter
Heavy: Sandvich and Second Banana or Holiday Punch
Engineer: Wrangler and Gunslinger
Sniper: Razorback and Cozy Camper or Jarate
Medic: too easy, Crusaders Crossbow and Ubersaw
Spy: Kunai and Diamondback or Stock revolver.
No they're not? Weezy said as much with the tomislav - it was terrible when the Aussie came out and wasn't popular until it got buffed later.
in what world is the skullcuter more popular than anything else
I’m so happy that the DF got your pick. I’ve always thought it was the coolest flamethrower both in use and in aesthetic.
the mad milk and jarate are way too out there lol. also aussie stock spy revolver looks very good, I like the simpler designs that don't go overboard. I also think the phlog has potential
Yep, plus they're considered op in comp, and almost op in casual, those two will likely get gas passer type of nerf(need dmg to charge faster, you don't instantly spawn with refilled milk etc) so why add aussie for the unlock that likely will get nerf?
Austrailium Jarate would be better with an austrailium lid
Maybe if you do the phlog right. A lot of his australium ideas ruined general aesthetic of weapons...
@@Slimpicken yea he took a poorly implemented community mod version of the australium and says "wow, look how awful this looks" without really thinking about how it would look on his own or giving his own ideas sometimes
I like it when the enemy pyro uses phlog because then I don't have to worry about airblast.
18:27 idk how you made that sentence but it was absolutely great and clever
That scout dressed in a full knight set named “?” at 23:44 was me :) always find it neat when I spot myself

The imagery of Scout throwing liquified metal at his enemies is just fucking evil
Would personally love to see an Australian Scottish Handshake. Both because it’s long overdue for a strange variant, but also ✨ classy alcohol ✨

Something sounds very personal about that
Man if they gave us an Australium update and it came with the finished final comic that would be amazing
I've always felt it weird that there is no Australium Gunslinger. Remember what being in contact with Australium does in the lore? Become a super manly Mann complete with super high physical strength and chest hair.
Why and how is this not already a thing?
considering the gunslinger adds +25 health to the Engineer, it having a Australium version would actually make some sense

What if the blood texture on the cleaver was replaced by oil? It would look pretty good I think 4:30
"Awh, fuck, it's black and gold."
Or maybe dry blood.
A darker red.
An Australium holy mackerel would literally be a goldfish.

You see, you say that, but if the Bison was made of australium I would use it pretty much exclusively
sharpened volcano can be logical, as, it IS filled with obsidian and stone. though, shiny flecks/flakes of gold inside of it, isn't amuzing. and if its the entire thing exept for the magma, it would melt
I actually like the idea of aussifying the unpopular weapons, in the hopes of spurring players to make the most of the unoptimal or bad weapons.
Also, I'd like an aussie Three-Rune Blade for Scout. But maybe it's too much like the Eyelander.
Imagine an Australium Disciplinary Action
So, you're basically saying Midas touched a whip?
To me the third degree looked cool af compared to the other pyro melees

Agreed.
an idea i had for an mvm update is them making botkillers mk3, that function similarly to warpaints, so that way you can have botkillers on decorated weapons or other australium weapons, imagine putting a diamond bot killer onto an australium rocket launcher, or a carbonado bot killer onto a top shelf wrench, maybe have botkillers on weapons other than stock like the brass beast or the soda popper
Just wait until a Demo shows up rocking a Somewhat Threatening Unusual Mountaineering Festivized Specialized Killstreak Carbonado Botkiller Gifting Mann's Wrapping Paper Stickybomb Launcher Mk. III.
australium jarate
let me truly give my enemies a golden shower
"I believe this would be the first time in TF2 history where the stock weapon was ignored for the Aussie Pick not once, but twice."
Weezy not long after suggesting doing the exact same for Medic primaries.
Wdym bro, Medic's primary weapon is the Crusader Crossbow. What else could it be? Some syringe gun like the Blutsauger (which already has one), the Overdose (which is fun if you got the full movement speed buff, but wouldn't look very appealing I think), or something like that?
this is the only item that actually feels rare and special compared to modern unusuals these days, every update there's gonna be always another community created unusuals and there's just so many of them that it doesn't look that rare to me anymore
its kinda funny you should say that, because I've seen so many soldiers with aussie rocket launchers that ive kinda grown numb to them
As many of you know, Diamondback is inspired by Deus Ex Human Revolution revolver.
I like the idea of a australiumifier, like a strangeifier or whatever it's called, it just makes the weapon australium, probably will be rarer than a golden pan 👍
god help the f2p who uses that shit on a frontier or black box
@@westernsavage2313 It would probably have different tagging/naming so it's more like the difference between festive and festivised weapons, so that F2P wouldn't feel any worse than people that festivised their normal shotgun, etc.

@16:50 the Strange Construction PDA now goes for over $200.
I think for the sniper the correct choice for the primary would be the Bazaar Bargain, it's in my experience the second most popular rifle (after stock), and after two or three kills is pretty much the best sniper rifle in the game.
At the end of my first ever mann up tour on MvM i got an australium SMG

If Valve does ever add more Australium weapons to the game to incentivize more players playing MvM, they're also likely going to have to fix a lot of the bugs like with firing speed on Heavy and Engie's Sentry for example, because if they don't then I suspect the community will get angry at Valve for updating MvM but not fixing the several bugs it has
True
I think the community is so desperate for an update (it’s been more than 5 years since any major updates to TF2 at all, much less MVM) that anything new would be met with overwhelming positivity.

I think the BFB would look good with an Australium version. It's a design without too much going on, especially when compared to the soda popper or backscatter, and the contrast between the metal parts and non metal parts would look super nice.
