Honestly, Hbox does have some shitty stuff in his past (mostly being rude to fans if they approach when he's on tilt) but it's just nothing compared to the hate he receives. I don't really feel bad for him these days but things used to be a lot worse AND he wasn't winning that much.
TheStrangeBloke yeah dude, I’ve seen people wish that he died a miserable death just cause he’s rude but those same people love Leffen like he’s a saint, Leffen is an actual whiny little bitch and a douchebag yet he’s loved for some reason, and when does cheating on your girlfriend mean you can hate on him, no one who hates him cause of that actually knew them in their relationship anyway
@@ernestoacosta7918 it's weird too, like, I can't actually find any documentation of that rumor anywhere. Everyone, even community figureheads like toph, seem to accept it but I couldn't even tell you when this drama supposedly occurred.
Leffen is annoying but he actually isn't that bad if you spend any time in other esports.

These typically get more views which has a lot to do with it but I’m not positive, just check my channel
the reaction video has like 7x the number of views as the original.

People complain about hbox's personality but i honestly think that if the community was nicer to him his attitude would change. We created hbox.
hbox created hbox. maybe he's changed as his stream has grown but there are sooo many stories of hbox being a dick to people irl at tourneys in the past. if there were only 1 or 2 stories I'd give him the benefit of the doubt but the fact that so many people start hating hbox after they meet him in person says something

@@Shiningentei I've always assumed that there must be some real life basis to it, I know of one real one where he refused to give a kid a signature because he was salty after losing, but other then that I've only seen copypasta's. I do think he can be somewhat rude at tourneys but I still would like someone to actually show some of the real "being a dick" stories. Seems like the idea that he's been a dick countless times might be something of an exaggeration of maybe 2-3 actual real stories or something.

The communities option on hbox is why I stopped watching melee. Why watch when someone gets better than everyone else and all the top players shit on him. Literally all the top players have an issue, which is fine but all the smelly nerds who take everything they say and run with it ruined it... since then got into mma, watch people actually beat each other’s asses.
