ABOUT LAW & ORDER SVU

Yeah, but she and Tutuola are the oldest members so they should get tragedy more often now since they didn't in the beginning. Just glad they didn't do him like they did Stabler.

Captain Olivia Benson doesn't need a man to be happy but she might want a man in her life to be happy and Det Elliot Stabler and she were partners and best friends but I don't think they should have a romantic relationship.

@@sassyasian18ho21 when nick left olivia said something else, that she couldnt grow while with elliot and i think shes right, elliot was too dominant. i remember that scene outside the courtroom when elliot said that he doesnt want to loose her or his job ("thats all i have") and therefore doesnt want to be partners with her (because it would be too dangerous). olivia was heartbroken and in tears. anyhow the writers wanted her to be the cool one, making her demanding a new partner bevore elliot could. 🤐

I love it that Mariska has decided to let her aging show. She is so beautiful. She doesn't need face lifts or Botox or anything.
If they let their “aging show” then they would rock their gray hair.

@@michaelleary9233 is it fake? My mother’s Slavic and she’s always super tan, even in the middle of winter it’s just how her skin is. so I was just thinking it was a natural Eastern European thing.
I think she's had some work done, but it's very minimal and subtle.

Her tan isn’t fake, she’s part Hungarian from her father & Hungarians are naturally darker skinned.
She took after her father a lot in who she looks like & how dark her skin is.
Even most of you didn't like Tucker, he was treating Liv like a Queen. When he was with her Ed was a different person. You can see the love in their eyes. So sad that they can't have their happy ending. ❤💔

He did treat her well. And she could use a little more of that in her life.
I feel so bad for Tucker and Benson they should have been together the whole time and you could see the connection between both of them they both loved each other it's so sad I love them both and I will miss Tucker and I believe that Benson is going to have a really hard time accepting the fact that he is going to heaven
I loved her with Tucker. He didn't only love Olivia...he loved Noah as well.
Despite their having differences of opinions which caused their relationship to end, Ed and Liv truly loved each other.
They had Paris but should have had more. His character was one of the better ones. Disliked for doing his job yet allowed to show the man doing the job. He treated her well and they understood each other. Best person she ever dated or even associated with.

@@nicolen.9642 When she was dating Tucker, they went to Paris with Noah. I think that was at the end of season 18 or beginning of season 19? It was off screen, but they referenced it a couple of times.
Remember Elliot telling her he was the longest relationship she had with a man.
George Page One of my favorite episodes. I miss him.
At least they didn't write him out like they did Elliot. I thought that was a cheap piece of writing from these writers whom we know can do so much better than that.

Not really. The negotiations were only beginning when they filmed that episode, and, in all honesty, everybody thought Christopher was coming back for another sesson.
I may have not liked Ed Tucker but I respected the way he did his job and the hard sacrifices he had to make while doing his job
I love how Fin’s fighting to bring this to Elliot’s attention. I think he just wants someone to gossip to 😂
Welp I didn't *need* to cry but here we are. Gosh... Poor Livy. She's lost so many people she cares for in her life, two within a few months of each other... Almost all she has left is Noah. I hope she finds more happiness soon.

That last shot is symbolic, at the end of season 17 there was a shot like that in the background with the two of them.

Can we please see Olivia Benson start a relationship with someone and actually have it last? This show tries to spread the message that your life goes on after trauma and grief but that doesn't seem to be the case with Olivia. It would be nice to give her some normalcy.
Season 21 has been the best in years imo. Hopefully stays this good

I agree, That sure was a great way to send out that character with Dignity. They threw in that suicide just to give Benson another scene of showing her misery. If Stabler ever comes back, you know he will be committing suicide also, just to give Benson another scene of grieving.

I thought that Liv and Tucker were a good couple. I think when she told him that she was sorry for the way that she ended things, that she was telling him that she had and still loved him. Even when Tucker was in IAB, and rough around the edges, I still liked him and loved his voice. Another man in Livs life that I think really loved her was Barba. Their last scene together was also touching. And I know I’m not the only one who felt that Barba was the best ADA, and want him brought back. Mariska, please bring him back. So many actors have left that added to the show. I know things change in shows, but don’t take Fin out. His character adds so much!!!!!

The biggest problem with them is that they have no chemistry. And that will forever be a problem to whomever Mariska/Olivia is partnered with. Her chemistry with Chris/Elliot is unmatched, always will be.

They should bring back David Haden, but not Cassidy. I don't want Olivia and Elliott's progression be a straight line without any curveballs. I love Stabler, but he should have to work very hard to get back into Olivia' s good graces. For me, she and Tucker were perfect.

Tucker was one of the few characters on this show that I liked. It always pissed me off that he was cast as the bad guy for trying to protect the integrity of the department while the detectives were given free reign to conduct whatever gross violations of ethics and procedure they wanted to simply because they were the main characters.

Its hard to bring Elliot back if Christopher Meloni
does not want to come back. And personally i disagree with you that Elliot and Olivia should ride off into the sunset together. If Meloni does come back and Elliot return at some point i think its better to have them stay friends. And honestly i never at any point during the first 12 seasons saw anything romantic between them apart from when they had to act romantic to not blow a cover.

Then there’s all the trauma in Liv’s life that he knows nothing about, including men she’s dated, the last being this fellow, someone at odds often w/Elliot.
But Stabler’s definitely back.
Stabler always brings troubles to people.

I guess the point of Olivia not finding a romantic partner is to establish that she is an independent woman who doesn't need a man (or woman if she ever swung that way) to help her. In addition, she has a loyal squad/friend group and a son who she loves.
