I think the major thing that is more exciting about this expansion is that the flavoring is dead on and feels much more like a wave of character hitting the game, whereas the last expansion had almost no unifying theme for the mid-to low teir cards.
A large majority of the cards also seem to have their own place in the game instead of just acting as pack fillers. Almost all of them good for arena or competitive.

As much as I hope for this too, it will never happen. Bomb warrior completely kills the deck because, fun fact, if you have 2 or more bombs in your deck, it counts them as duplicates. It's really dumb. If they ever did get to a point where they saw extensive play, bomb warrior would simply just show up again.
@@mcarthurcottam6533 Just because a deck has a hard counter doesn't necessarily mean that deck won't see play. After all, the bombs will affect at most 2 cards in the deck, so even if you face against a bomb deck it won't be the end of the world.

Going 2nd with quest druid is dumb if you get merchant. You coin out your merchant on turn 1. And then turn 2 you play your quest and end. you still most likely have your merchant on board and get immediate value

Couldn't you just play a 1 drop turn one, quest turn 2, 2 drop turn 3, and so on to the same effect for quest druid? Though in that scenario you'd have a minion out a turn earlier without losing out on a quest turn.

Excuse me Trump, but if you have Elise, Floop and Zephyris, you technically have a whole lot more potential Zephyris, cuz you can just play one of your two Floops as Elise, duplicating Floop and your two Zephyris again, and do that for as long as you have space in your hand. So technically, you could have up to 10 Zephyris if Elise, Floop and Zephyris are the only cards in your hand.
I mean, that kind of sucks for value Warlock players that some decks have 2 mana instantly win the game if you played Jaraxxus, although I guess it is a legendary but even still

Zephyrs seems pretty insane to hold for lethal in a control deck. Often control might struggle to get that last bit of reach and this can give it to you. 6 damage short? Here's your fireball.

The only case this isn't a problem is with a deck that deals with an empty deck - gang up type effects. In short: If you can afford to play it on turn 8 (you drew it AND it's not too slow) then it's an ok - maybe even pretty good - card. Otherwise, it's very average or even bad.

Brandon Christensen do they require a lot of mana? No, that doesn’t mean that tanking your curve by 3 whole mana is ever a good thing, that’s even more costly than just paying six mana. Not only that but you have to also draw both madness (which is a dead draw if you never play it) and then draw minions you can actually play that can mitigate being a whole 3 turns behind the curve in mana. On turn 3 as zoo or midrange you’d much rather play a one cost card, make an efficient trade, and then heal your minion for tempo over 3 mana do nothing that always tanks your mana curve
Hm, should I pay 3m for Madness and lose 3m, so pay a total of 6 for minions I still need to draw, or should I finish the quest and "play" those 3/3s and often 3/6s on minions I have in play without setting myself back by 3 crystals. Th0nk
Brandon Christensen listen, i’m telling you this as someone unfortunate enough to unpack a surrender to madness just before rise of shadows, the card is bad and its only chance of success died with shadow visions rotating out. Just craft basically any of the priest cards in uldum aside from plague of death if you want to run zoo priest, pretty much all of them are more consistent and fun than madness. I’d rather prevent people from screwing themselves by crafting epic cards that go above and beyond terrible.

suicidelock looking good Also, you're extremelly wrong on octosari, midrange decks care about their cards way too much to overdraw them, aggro/zoo decks will never run an 8 drop, tempo decks have better plays AND valuable cards they do not want to burn, and it's way too slow, if you're playing a deck agressive enough to justify a "draw 8", you would be better off playing onyxia (and that's saying quite a lot about how bad this card is) since she at least follows your game plan. The only decks that want to draw 8 are aggro and zoo, the problem is that they only play extremelly effective AND cheap minions that will have an imediate impact on the board, if you get to turn 8 playing zoo or aggro you've lost playing an 8 drop or not, don't forget that those decks already have the hero power as a draw engine. Octosari is never justified, it's a terrible card.

Not only that but you have to also draw both madness (which is a dead draw if you never play it) and then draw minions you can actually play that can mitigate being a whole 3 turns behind the curve in mana. On turn 3 as zoo or midrange you’d much rather play a one cost card, make an efficient trade, and then heal your minion for tempo over 3 mana do nothing that always tanks your mana curve
Hm, should I pay 3m for Madness and lose 3m, so pay a total of 6 for minions I still need to draw, or should I finish the quest and "play" those 3/3s and often 3/6s on minions I have in play without setting myself back by 3 crystals. Th0nk
Brandon Christensen listen, i’m telling you this as someone unfortunate enough to unpack a surrender to madness just before rise of shadows, the card is bad and its only chance of success died with shadow visions rotating out. Just craft basically any of the priest cards in uldum aside from plague of death if you want to run zoo priest, pretty much all of them are more consistent and fun than madness. I’d rather prevent people from screwing themselves by crafting epic cards that go above and beyond terrible.

Also, you're extremelly wrong on octosari, midrange decks care about their cards way too much to overdraw them, aggro/zoo decks will never run an 8 drop, tempo decks have better plays AND valuable cards they do not want to burn, and it's way too slow, if you're playing a deck agressive enough to justify a "draw 8", you would be better off playing onyxia (and that's saying quite a lot about how bad this card is) since she at least follows your game plan.
The only decks that want to draw 8 are aggro and zoo, the problem is that they only play extremelly effective AND cheap minions that will have an imediate impact on the board, if you get to turn 8 playing zoo or aggro you've lost playing an 8 drop or not, don't forget that those decks already have the hero power as a draw engine.
Octosari is never justified, it's a terrible card.
