@@click4gameplayits been on my radar for quite a while too and I had no idea it was coming out so soon. The demo they had a while back was fun but hard. I’m sure like piranha bytes games, it will get easier as you level up and gain proper equipment. I’m looking forward to your eventual and inevitable video on it C4G. Personally, ill probably buy it in a few months since im currently playing a game, and a few others i want to play a bit more are next on my last. Id imagine that ill get to it early next year, probably after I play avowed. (Loved pillars of eternity) I just wish that drova woulve come out a few months or weeks ago instead. Its a packed year.
There s also a game called Paign and Paign 2 made by a fan of the Gothic series and it has the same progression systems like the game and while the first is kinda short and condensed the second felt like Gothic and it was wonderful. Game still has some bugs but the dev is very friendly. Rn it's just on android but the dev said he wanted to put it on Steam.
@@razvanambarus7905 surprisingly ive never heard of those. And I consider myself well “in the know” for games and mods. Especially about rpgs. Ill have to look that up later today after work.
yeah it was shit then and it is shit now lmao.. I have played all of the van helsing arpg's quite recently and they are not that good especially if you try to go with melee builds..
Hey Mr. Click4Gameplay, have you heard of the obscure tactical rpg "The Dwarves"? Just asking in case you need something for you "obscure and forgotten rpgs" series. It's party based, story heavy, turn based on world map and real time with pause on the local maps and with hordes of enemies. Reviews were bad, but I kinda liked it.
This isn't exactly related to movie games, but have you heard of an in development game called Alkahest? It takes a lot of inspiration from Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, & throws alchemical potions with weird effects into the mix to expand on it; the trailer at one point shows the character charging towards a portcullis, & throwing a potion at it to cause it to *instantly* rust to the point of losing all integrity before he slams into it, allowing him to smash right through it! I honestly think it's *really* cool, & as someone who's interested in Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, but doesn't wanna buy the game until Ubisoft goes bankrupt to ensure the money doesn't go to them, I've already got it on my wishlist!
I owned and played Prince Caspian on my PS2 back in the day. The thing I noticed immediately was that it was made by Traveler's Tales, the same developers who created the Lego games (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman, etc.) and the gameplay mechanics are a direct clone of those games. They're perfect with the charm and toybox logic of the Lego series where everything is deliberately tongue-in-cheek, but horrendously jarring in Prince Caspian, which like you said, you'd expect to be more like LotR: Return of the King before playing.
I’m surprised you didn’t compare Van Helsing to Devil May Cry. As a kid I loved DMC when I played it at a friends house, but my mom wouldn’t let me play rated M games at home. I rent Van Helsing on a whim and absolutely loved how it felt like a DMC clone but was rated T. Van Helsing, Chaos Legion, and Bujingai the Forsaken City gave me my T rated DMC fix i needed lol
Some more suggestions. Summoner 1 and 2. Idk if im the only one who remembers this but on the dvd for blade 2 had a level walkthrough for the game and on of the lines in the intro to it claimed that whistler was voiced by kris kristofferson which we all know by now was a straight up lie😂 and 8 year old me didn't even question it even after playing the game and hearing the voice myself after having seen the film in theaters months prior
Those were the times where almost every blockbuster got its shitty, short game. Nowadays we wait like half a decade to get one game about Blade and then they are suprised why we have high expectations.
I realize it is hypocritical but Hard tend to be the fun mode to me. There should exist an Extra Hard mode for those wanting an extra challenging game, but a lot of games stop at Hard.

"So naturally Caspian summons a bunch of 12 years old kids and some furries to help him..." I laughed out loud. Well said.
Legs strong enough to walk while carrying a massive boulder, but not strong enough to jump a gap a couple of meters wide.
Makes perfect sense to me.
I love how blade 2 made the ''rave music at home'' instead of getting the actual track.
Hey, at least they tried.
3:40 "Xardas! It is always that Xardas!"
Dude you gotta look at this 2d rpg called Drova Forsaken Kin. Mortismal Gaming (an awesome game reviewer) called it “2d gothic”. Sounds awesome
I'll probably check it out soon, since it's been on my radar for quite some time now.

" Beowulf" is also a game that could've been added to this list, it being solely based on the animated movie

Excuse you, Van Helsing was the shit when I was a kid

Alternate title "I Played 5 Extremely Obscure Licensed Games so you don't have to" lol
Actually you're right, that's a more fitting title. Just changed it.

Just seeing the Gamecube LOTR game made me smile. My brothers and I played that SO much back in the day :)

I liked Prince Caspian, loved the Blade games I was really little when the first game game out and it scared me as a kid, loved Van Helsing too

The Aeon Flux animated series is much better than the movie imo, and is more worthy of your time and watching.
I actually love Van Helsing. I think it's one of the best licensed games ever made. Still holds up well today, in my opinion.
I have been waiting for this once since you showed that Blade 2 footage in the previous video. Cheers.
Youd think Ghostrider would have the *Penance Stare* which is his most powerful and iconic ability!!
alot of these games look like reskins of better known games. ghost rider lookslike GOW and vanhelsing always felt like DMC when it came out
Some more suggestions.
Summoner 1 and 2.
Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll
Draken 1 and Draken: The Ancient's Gates
Warhammer 40K Inquisitor Martyr
Ultra Age
Code Vein
Cronos: Before the Ashes
Mortal Shell
Salt and Sanctuary
Outcast
Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
LaraCroft and the Temple of Osiris
Nioh and Nioh 2
Darksiders series(4 games)
Castlevania Lords of Shadows games
Redeemer: Enhanced Edition
Gravity Rush 1 and 2
Demon's Souls and Bloodborne (Not sure if you've played those.)
I remember renting Van Helsing a bunch of times when I was a kid. Good times.
Need to check Van Helsing
Your videos are so on point, love it man, keep it up.
Then - a few months to make a game and it ends up being crap which is expected.
Now - takes years to make a game and it's still crap 🤣
When I was little I really wanted the Narnia game!!
I mean, these are surely obscure, but what if I told you that there is Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties JRPG for JAVA?
Those were the times where almost every blockbuster got its shitty, short game. Nowadays we wait like half a decade to get one game about Blade and then they are suprised why we have high expectations.
The Animated series for Aeon Flux is a cult classic, goated for sure , the live action movie is mid at best
I would like to see your opinion about Advent Rising at some point. A flawed game but extremely fun and ambitious at the same time.
You say you played Narnia through emulation. What software do you use for that and how did you find the game for PS3?
I find it crazy that this emulator has the ability to transform these games to 16:9 aspect ratio.
Speaking of that, Aeon Flux had the option in the game menu for 16:9, which I only found out a bit later in my playthrough.
@@click4gameplay aahh yes, a select few games did have this option.
Van Helsing looks interesting!
Yooo I played the fuck out of that narnia game back in 2011 i was off that Skyrim high as a kid and thought it was really good
Thor for nintendo ds by way forward. Shockingly good
You always play all games on hard and then complain that they are too hard. How does that make sense?
I realize it is hypocritical but Hard tend to be the fun mode to me. There should exist an Extra Hard mode for those wanting an extra challenging game, but a lot of games stop at Hard.
I always assumed they put very little effort into these games, because they knew fanboys would buy them anyway.
I knew it was Xardas!!
Aeon Flux is one of the most generic, mind-numbing and bland movies ever made.
It also features Charlize Theron at her prime, so it's a must-watch 😁
Bravo ,bravo sine moj neumorni
Try beowulf
09:49 hahahahahaha 😂😂😂😂
for me aeon flux is always will be mtv cartoon tv series. movie was trash, but animation series is the best
keep doing to work my frend
good video man
Played a shit ton of ghost rider on my ps2
youre kind of a 2000's guy, arent you c4g?
Bro there is new isometric pixel Gothic like game, check it out
Punisher
BloodRayne 1 is so much better than BloodRayne 2.
Those all are hack and slash/character action games
Aeon Flux movie was decent.
nice video
Action RPGs aren't really rpgs.... RPGs is sbout playing a ROLE, and it has NOTHING about the combat...
Genre pedants have strong opinions out completely uninteresting things
What is this xbox emulator which can do 60fps?
