I personally reserve much more hate for comments that just use the same tired memes or formats, like that script style ("nobody:" being the worst example, but also anything where it's just HAHA REMEMBER SCHOOL THIS TIMESTAMP REMINDS YOU OF *RELATABLE INCIDENT THAT HAPPENS AT SCHOOL*). Even just quoting the video verbatim is better than that.
Back on topic, I respect them because they don't pretend that stuff is funny just because their fans do it. I also respect Julian a lot for demanding that people treat him like a human and not a living meme after he left.

Why would you shit on someone for liking your brand of comedy? Chris has called it out multiple times. Hes even called out the fact DD and j fall back on the same exact jokes all the time and most of their most over used bits are them just stealing other peoples jokes in really cringey voices.

The thing I like about ding dong is that for most people it's hard to imagine what he looks like because, unlike Chris, you can't find pictures of him that easy, and they're forced to see him as his avatar.

Man i love to hear the opinions of individuals who not only clearly are they passionate about the arts and video games but one of them clearly understands way more than most about game design. I hope they don't get backlash and end up being discourage to express themselves when they are clearly right about a lot of things
It's about how they conduct themselves. They (DD and Julian) think they're immune from criticism and took every piece of negativity towards them as something way more serious. Chris consistently ignores these comments and gets praise for doing so, as he separates himself from needless drama. For some reason DD and Julian seemed incapable of this.

They complain about things they directly choose to do. They whine about support they get. They hate on things without giving it a chance but expect everything to be different for them.
Some of their criticisms are more than valid and a lot of it is personal. By which I mean its small shit that isn't much if any trouble for other people. Sometimes they specifically hate things just because it's popular and or new.
They shouldn't have gotten as much hate as they got and not the kind that they DID get but some? At least some heated civil debate? Absolutely. These guys can be so aggregating to listen to complaining about issues that they themselves fall back on.
Don't take them too seriously on things that are largely just opinion. They haven't put out games either. They don't know what works and what doesn't as far as experience goes and even Chris got called out on hating games that are just like his. Everything's fine if it's them and not someone else 🙄

Skyboxes create such a great atmosphere, it's a surreal sort of pocket dimension. Mario 64 had some amazing backdrops, N64 skyboxes in general are usually amazing.

In regard to the lumpy noses thing Julian mentions, I personally have seen that in old people. It's called "Rhinophyma" or "gin blossoms". It's an inflammation of the nose caused by years of excessive drinking.
It's actually caused by rosacea, not just alcohol abuse but alcoholism does indeed accelerate/aggravate the condition.

Looking back on this game it's utterly amazing that they managed to recover from it's insane stumble and how the leap they took into impossible machine or whatever it's called was so well done. Sure, it's really just a dkcr clone, but it does some interesting things and I think the only *real* bad choice was to put 'Epic Fail' as the game over screen.

Also still feel this way but I would have left the bat the same and changed the chameleons eyes to really more a real chameleons eyes, like Rango.
I would've changed its green to maybe a pastel yellow or orange, the character should stand out from the environment but a lot of this game seems to use green environments. I guess maybe the bat was supposed to stand out but the bat is so small and off center that it doesn't really work.

Personally, I’m ok with weekly or sometimes biweekly uploads because that means that their taking the time to make sure the editing, filming, etc is good. Otherwise, you get content that’s shafted for profit and doesn’t really hold up in the long run.
