4 dots is morse code for letter H.. for Hyundai. Got mine 9 months ago here in US and I love it! This car is so much more comfortable and a level above where my 2020 Tesla Model 3 was.
The only thing that's missing is a decent EV charging infrastructure. One fast charging station per municipality would be enough for the EV industry in our country to boom (and to eliminate range anxiety).
Im not sure how decent is the standard, but if you google ev charging stations, it will give you quite a long list from north to south and even some outside metro manila.
@@whitecloakandhalo The infrastructure that I'm referring to is for the whole Philippines. My mother's ancestral hometown is in Leyte and I know for a fact that there are no EV charging stations in their area. Since I would like to travel from Pampanga to Leyte without worries, I want a decent EV infrastructure for the whole country. This is what I got after a quick search (the list is as of Jan 30, 2023): SM Aura, B1 Parking SM City BF Parañaque SM City Bicutan SM City Fairview SM City Grand Central SM City Manila SM City Marikina SM City San Lazaro SM City Sta. Are those stations enough take to me from Pampanga to Leyte (around 1020km) without stopping for a long time due to charging with the mobile charger?
As an 80's kid and a Back to the Future fan, you gotta have it. It really is like a Delorean: it gives one both nostalgic and futuristic feelings. However not having any charging stations in the Philippines may be a problem.
Yeah. I like its design better than Tesla's which is too futuristic looking and super-minimalist. M-Benz EQS's design is the best in the luxury EV category for me though.
I have a car like this. The only thing I'm worried diyan sa Pinas is yung baha (flood) na galing dagat or from storm surge. Normal na rain water na baha ay OK lang. Check out what happened in Florida after the typhoon, mga EV's bigla nalang nagliliyab O nasusunog. Maybe has something to do with salt water and the battery when come in contact.
Looks like something that came out of Back to the Future! (In a good way!) also that NWJNS playing 💖🤣 The time I've seen and rode an IONIQ was in SG, totally blew me away!
Just to add, the ENTIRE back seat can also slide back and forth..for the european version, the side mirrors are replaced with cameras that activates once you flip the signal light..the screen then displays what you wpuld normally see in the side mirrors..
That’s not fully correct. The European version has an option to go for the Digital Side Mirrors instead of regular mirrors. But the behavior you described is standard in both versions and actually uses the cameras pointing down on the side mirrors or digital side mirrors.
7:55 you forgot to fold the rear seats. you also forgot to mention about V2L feature, like you can you power your house with this car during a power failure.
This car is BEAUTIFUL! And Caco definitely went to Starbucks before this review. He's pretty perked up. 😅 The raised instrument-infotainment panel fits this car perfectly as it is maximized with those screens' real estate. With the Stargazer though, it looks like a nuisance and can get to your OCD. Anyways, what a car! With all the tech, a sliding center console (first time I've seen this honestly), and a 9-seater (as demoed by Caco himself 😅), I think it's worth the price. Great review, Autodeal! Cheers!
Entertaining, regardless of car brand and segment. Caco can really sell anything. Folks would've stopped watching after the two-minute mark where the price reveal happened but he just makes everything interesting enough for us average Juans to stick around. Hyundai better take notice, this guy might've just convinced a bunch of whales to drop the bag on this.
Grandeur is great, it's Hyundai's flagship sedan (outside of Genesis) but the market here in PH gravitates towards crossovers/SUVs so I don't think Hyundai will make one for you.
The party trick of this Car is the V2L(vehicle to load) where it can technically charge another EV incase of emergency the best part is you can Use this too to power some appliances in the house like Fridge, oven microwave and some lights during Blackout in the Philippines 😁
Just fyi, check your local versions for included features. In Indonesia, for example, the center island does not move. There's also no AR HUD and some navigation features.
does the price already reflect the zero tariffs on EVs? If the standard range with 2.5M pesos or below, this is a much better buy than a Fortuner or Montero. Driving manila to baguio is 250km, plenty of range left.
@@barj9709 agreed. 2.1M lang ito sa presyo sa Amerika. kailangan ayusin ng gobyerno pricing ng mga EVs saka import ng EVs from China. Mahirap lang bansa natin pero mataas bayad natin sa fuel at kuryente.

Nice! Support Electric Vehicle! Mtagal na my EV sa iba bansa. Kaya like it or not papunta tayo sa future tech 👌 In fairness this looks nice at probably hyundai referred to delorean.
I think residential condominiums should start retrofitting their basement parking with wall/floor electricity sockets as EVs in the Philippines are starting to popup 😍 What a time to be alive!
The center light divider is the only think i am not a fan of. Imagine if it was whole or they divided it to 3 instead. Imagine adding letter stickers on the middle.
There is no doubt this is a great car looks driving comfort space amazing . However , 1 way to expensive ( check out the MG4 much cheaper ) 2 infrastructure in the Philippines for charging away from home is poor 3 constant use of air con will probably halve the range the maker quotes( usually over exaggerated ) just my thoughts
Ioniq 5 Limited addition has now set the standard for all EVs to compare to. It is simply set the standard for what EVs should be. Be smart, do not buy an EV until you have experienced this driving machine. Its simply the most amazing driving machine available today. And this comes from a car fan who also drives BMW X3, Mercedes E350 and Porsche 911. I would rather drive my Ioniq 5 limited. JMo

Good thing Hyundai is selling this absolute gem here in the Philippines

I have this car since April last year and loved every minute driving it. Sana mapabilis ang EV adoption sa Pinas.
Even as an EV skeptic, I think this car looks really good. The best looking out there imo.
Yeah. I like its design better than Tesla's which is too futuristic looking and super-minimalist. M-Benz EQS's design is the best in the luxury EV category for me though.
Check Kia EV6 GT ☺️
I am only EV skeptic because initial cost and maintenance in the next 4 years is higher than my newly built 160 sq.m floor area bungalow house
True that. Cars like these that give out such charisma make me want the government to speed up development of the EV infrastructure.

Hyundai should pay you for making the most entertaining review in TH-cam.

Is the price gonna remain the same? Zero tarrif for EV's just recently got signed by Malacañang
Hoping for kind of EV that can endure all kinds of roads in PH. Good job Hyundai!
Hoping for a kind of EV that's actually affordable for a lot of people.

Very nice EV review! More EVs to come please! (excited sa NISSAN ARIYA here)
Korean EVs and non japanese EVs are much better than JEVs
Matagal pa makarating dito ang Ariya, they designed it for developed markets. Developing ones like ours won't probably get one.
7:55 you forgot to fold the rear seats. you also forgot to mention about V2L feature, like you can you power your house with this car during a power failure.

Placement of the AC vents for the rear passenger are the same for Santa Fe 2-2.5 generation (2009-2011).
It’s what people in the 80s or 70s imagined what cars would look like in the future.
Basically copying what the reviewer said 🙄
Achoo time. We need more of those! 🤣
13:25 DAMN THAT'S AN 8 SEATER
please review the standard range. does it have safety features/adaptive cruise control?
The design is like a futuristic car seen in the movies in the 80s and 90s
it is nice to see EVs are now coming here and not just from the grey market.
hopefully its price will normalize by 2025.
zero tariff na ba yung pricing neto?
daaaang! hope they could bring the grandeur in the Phil! please give us a behind the wheel review please!
Hyundai won't sell a sedan priced like a BMW or Mercedes Benz anymore
Grandeur is great, it's Hyundai's flagship sedan (outside of Genesis) but the market here in PH gravitates towards crossovers/SUVs so I don't think Hyundai will make one for you.
Been waiting for this!
I think it is more slick if you remove the hyundai logos on the front and back. or they just replace those logos with 4 square dots to be consitent.
Caco is also listening to omg - new jeans 😂 17:08
You guys are so entertaining 😆
retro-futuristic is a great description
I saw this car just today and I’m like what car is this!? Such a head turner. Went to the back and found out it’s an ioniq
Is the range of the standard range variant enough for metro manila traffic?
Welcome Hyundai Ionic5 🎉❤
It looks damn pretty. it reminds me of Back to the Future

Will the 160mm ground clearance be an issue on road humps? I.E. humps that are quite high? Added info, I'm a bit overweight.

3.6M with no import tax?
So can you go to Welcome Rotonda Manila/QC to Balay Dako Tagaytay back to Welcome Rotonda (will all the traffic) in 1 charge?
this and the EV6 are the newer taxis in Korea. I wonder what the incentives are.
