- Oeschinensee Lake | EASY + STUNNING hike in Switzerland!// Oeschinensee Lake is an easy yet stunning hike in Kandersteg, Switzerland. The Oeschinesee panorama trail starts at the top of the cable car and loops around the left side of Lake Oeschinen. There are also restaurants and hotels if you would like to get a bite to eat or spend the night at this must visit destination in the swiss alps. Check out our Switzerland travel guide for more info!

This place was really incredible. I almost didn't go because it wasn't in quite the same region as the other places I explored (Interlaken, Grindlewald and Lauterbrunnen). Definitely glad that I did though. Truly amazing place on earth, definitely recommend. I took the row boat out to the middle of the lake for a while and just chilled, which was beyond blissful.

Love this video! Thank you. We are visiting next week but short on time. If we take the scenic trail from the gondola station on the top to the place at 04:22 and return back to the gondola station, how much time do you think it would take? We are pretty fit and young with decent hiking experience.

That is a great question! We usually just find a quite spot along the shore and bring a towel to change under. I don’t recall seeing any bathrooms close to the lake. Have a great trip! 😄
Such an incredible video! I'm not an expeirenced hiker, do you think this circular trail (panorama trail) is manageble alone for someone who doesnt have expereince hiking? Also i see you went in september im going the first week, long sleeves are okay?
Yeah I think so! It’s fairly straight forward for the most part. I would bring a few layers.

No unfortunately there are no public showers

Yes, there is a short walk from the top of the gondola to the lake. Hope you have a great trip!
Where is the location at 04:23. NeXT week we go Oeschinensee and walk same path as you. İ wouldnt like to miss that view😊
It’s just off the path on the north end of the loop. You can’t miss it!
Hi! Is it cold up there during end Aug? I’m thinking about attire to wear (e.g. shorts or pants) for the hike.
It shouldn’t be to chilly but we always dress for the weather and bring layers. The alpine can be pretty unpredictable too.

Is the hike difficult not using the gondola, guys?
It’s steep! The elevation gain is about 500m just to the lake.
Where is the trailhead if we do wanna do the hike?
@@alitaylor1235 In the center of Kandersteg, you'll find yellow signs (hiking route) to "Oeschinensee". Easy to find!
Hoping to visit this soon? Do you recommend hiking this alone? Is it possible 😂? Can be scary but the views are worth it. You have good drone shots too! Is it allowed to fly one there? Thanks for sharing your journeyy. 🥹

Will half a day (4 hours) be enough for everything you did?
Yes it should be! But that depends how fast a hiker you are and if you stop to eat.
