Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Multiple Units are 6 digit numbers where the first three numbers are the class of train e.g. 390154 would be a class 390. Click Here to learn more

Headcodes - e.g. 1F32 or 5M00 - These are used by the railway signallers to determine where trains are on the network. Every train within a region has a specific four code ID. Click Here to learn more
➤ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Train_r...
Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.

This is the last video from 2023!
All 319s and 507s shown in this video have since made their last journeys.. Check Out the list in the description.
Thanks for Watching! 😃
🚂💯😃
The *507’s still exist* on Merseyrail’s Northern Line from Southport to Hunts Cross

Rest in piece class 319 you will be missed 😥🫡
Absolutely, I think it’s criminal to be scrapping electric trains, especially since the Bolton to Wigan Electrification is expected to be completed this year and how overall we should really be migrating to electric. Most media outlets read that the 331s are replacing them but the missing detail is that overall capacity has reduced with them gone.
@@StarlifeStudios there are a handful more class 323s that could be transferred from west midlands - and of course, all the mothballed 769s from GWR and TfW (I can't see porterbrook admitting defeat on that front and cutting them)
Dunno why they’re scrapping electric trains in favour of diesels, it’s the exact opposite of what they’re saying by reducing emissions
@@StarlifeStudiosI remember that when me and my family are on that train. When we departed from Stockport a Class 158 departed at the same time and we had a race until we stopped at Heaton Chapel
You can still technically see them as the Class 769
Great Video, Sir!✨I remember visiting Liverpool Lime Street, last year autumn! A great day and experience it was, as that was my first InterCity trip, therefore making it very much memorable! I’ll be honest, it was so different to London! I personally felt the people were much more cheerful and happier, especially staff! :) Although, it did take a minute to understand what they would say as their accent was a little hard for me to understand at first, especially as a Londoner!😅
I'm having fun watching trains arriving,Departing and at speed.🗿🔥
The class 777s are brilliant units but I can’t get enough of the old units
Awesome Video Ross! Love the 777’s Merseyside metro’s. Really anticipating the videos for 2024 💯
2023 has been a long milestone 😃
Thanks Duaine, I’m glad to have been able to publish (at least) one video a week. Lots to come in 2024, it doesn’t stop here! 😃👍🏻
Great video Starlife! Love seeing those 507s and 319s
Absolutely 😃💯💯💯
Damn the way that 777 accelerated, was almost like a boeing 777
Nice video. Good seeing the 319s before they went. 😥
Nice video!
Amazing video! 👍
great video
Well done video enjoyed your captures
Great video.
Amazing Video Ross!
You Uploaded My Dad’s Favourite Station!
I can definitely see why! Lots of new trains but some oldies in there too! 🙂
Cool video!
Been to Liverpool lime station last year…it brings me back my memories
Nice!
A great video. Thank you for uploading this video 😊😊😊😊😊
No problem, thanks for watching! 😃
Amazing video Starlife!! You really got some awesome variety here and I like that you included the low level platforms, not many videos here include that!! awesome to see 507s and 319s in action before their retirement which shouldnt really be happening as electric is spreading!!
Thanks! Merseyrail currently has some variety so its nice to see both types of units in use on the same lines. The platforms are quite narrow so its actually rather difficult to avoid filming people. The 319s still had some life and they should have stayed until at least the WMR 323s replaced them. Glad you enjoyed.😄
Dude those 777 units on merseyrail are rapid 😮
Those are some of the clearest PA speakers I have ever heard
It is, literally, above me 😂 It got rather annoying after a while!
Nice video is your next train spotting Location going to be edge hill
I’m Here 😁
The 319s will be sadly missed by the rest of the rail enthusiasts
I just love how you get to go to all of these different kind of stations far and was de
For my own sanity and yours - I have to vary my stations. If all I filmed was West Coast and London, you wouldn’t tune in every Sunday! 😃
The home of the Beetles, wonderful Liverpool Lime Street. No yellow submarine this time round :-)
There are some Yellow 507s though 😂 Thanks!
RIP Class 508 will be missed
Fantastic Video, a very nice variety of stock. Shame that the 319s and 507s are going
Also, do you have any recommendations for wcml stations south of Rugby? Bushey doesn't seem to have a fence but a lot of stations seem to have a fence making filming the fast stuff difficult.
The 507s were always destined be replaced, they are some of the oldest rolling stock in use today. So recommendations, pretty much all south of Rugby have barriers with the exceptions of Milton Keynes, Watford Junction and Bushey. There are some stations on London Underground line South Kenton which get a pretty good view of the west coast but I’ve never been myself. I recommend Watford Junction, the staff are awesome too. Hope this helps! 😃👍🏻
@StarlifeStudios thanks for the suggestions mate 👍
Hello Starlife, could you do trains at Liverpool Central?
Station announcement overkill!
Nice video though
The nse trade mark😥
What camera do you use?
Hey what camera lens do you use for train spotting? Thanks.
15:53 off to my local station
Can you go to Eastleigh please
12:14 32 minutes late 😮
I meant far and wide
What camera and tripod do you use to film this
I use a Panasonic HC VX1 with no tripod or stability accessories. Thanks for watching.
@@StarlifeStudios is it the hcvxf1 or just the hcvx1
Pls do Electric trains at speed
19:11 Oh god my least favourite commuter train 🤮
I'm not riding that train from Birmingham New Street to Liverpool Lime Street

Do we have class 319 alive?class 319 is an classic EMU.
A few 319s still exist but none are used in passenger service. Some do survive as 769s but these are clearly not the same. Thanks for watching!
@@StarlifeStudios After all, class 319 is too old.compared with china,A lot of classic locomotive constructed in 1995-2000(such as DF4B,SS6,SS7,SS8),was scraped recently, they are all younger than class 319 and a lot of classic EMU.
@@StarlifeStudiosI wish the 319s were still in service
