    I try to floss as much as I can but it is always painful and I realize from watching this video that I've been flossing entirely wrong. Lots of dentist will encourage you to floss but not tell or show you exactly what you're supposed to be doing. I had been flossing inside of my gums instead of just between my teeth, no wonder I always bled and my mouth was always soar. I'll definitely floss more after watching this.

      This video is wrong. you are supposed to go under the gum line around your teeth. Obviously not on the gum between the teeth, but the floss has to curve around the tooth and go under the gum line. What he's showing is doing 50% of the work. Plaque accumulates on the teeth under the gum line as well.

      tongue cleaner.
      I use it everyday.
      just to tell everyone what they should be using
      floss at least once a day (will probably take 5-7 minutes cuz you are flossing every tooth of yours)
      brush your teeth, you HAVE to do it in the morning, in my opinion, you can do it at night it's optional like you don't NEED to but its best if you do because all your bacteria will probably form there. (bushing your teeth normally is about 2 minutes if you brush every jaw of yours and do it 2-3 times)
      use tongue cleaner and clean your tongue
      gargle water and spit it out, or use mouth wash and then gargle with it. (gargle for at least a minute and do it 3 times)
      that's basically all you need to do, and its in less than 15 minutes of your time!
      if you brush once a day then you should do this and you will be healthy, but if you brush 2 times then well yeah you probably dont need mouth wash and you can reduce the amount of time you spend so maybe reduce a minute from how long you do each)

    • @Randomperson-si4bj
      @Randomperson-si4bj 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@srimandava4323 I mean this is very true but my dentist told me that gargling with water actually doesn’t help because you are washing out all the good stuff that you are suppose to leave for like 30 mins after brushing teeth so it kills all bacteria properly

The first try was a bloody and disgusting mess 🤗🌺 the floss smelled like death and i couldn't believe how much gunk i still had sticking between my teeth even after brushing carefully. To be honest, i am slightly disgusted by myself that i just didn't do it before... The second time was already completely blood free, no pain and the floss didn't smell bad at all. My breath was instantly waaaaay better too. I accept it now, flossing is great and i'll keep doing it.

    I have such a hard time trusting dentists. I've had 4 different dentist teach me how to floss 4 different ways and I'm really not sure which way is completely right... I've always been really good about brushing my whole life. Flossing regularly for a decade and still bleeding made dentists turn me to using an waterpik instead.
    I had one dentist do such a bad job on a cavity filling it became a root canal by age 15.
    I had another dentist do silver fillings at age 19 and every one of those filling still cause me pain 7 years later.
    I had one dentist tell me that root canal has to be redone. She was too expensive so I went to another dentist and he said the root canal looks fine he wanted to focus on the fillings. Couldn't afford him either.
    So now I'm 26 with the shittieat dental insurance, at least 4 cavaties that I know of, and a root canal that causes me consistent pain and silver filings that tingle my jaw when I bite or floss near it.
    I brush and waterpik daily. Floss 3-6 times a week. And yet I still have terrible mouth health... 😭😭😭

    I thought I was taking great care of my teeth and gums. I brush and use mouth wash twice daily and floss every night. I went to the dentist today for the first time in 3 years and found out I actually have pretty bad gum disease because I was just flossing between my teeth and not going below the gum line. I also didn't know that you're supposed to floss between your very back tooth and gum. I'm 23 and always visited the dentist regularly up until the last few years and now I feel REALLY stupid knowing I've been flossing wrong this entire time and thinking my teeth were really healthy

    Best to use floss with fibers such as wax floss. Hold the floss between your fingers close which allows you to even get to the back teeth. Floss under the gums to remove the plaque that would infect the gums. If your gums bleed when you floss that means you need to floss to remove the plaque. You can floss twice a day to improve gum health. Hope this helps.

    • @comparethemiaKAT
      @comparethemiaKAT 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think I know what you mean. I'm pretty sure my dental hygienist said to take the floss/tape down to the gum line and gently push and pull back and forth. She never said anything about turning it to the side to do the 'walls'

    • @Pingaheimer
      @Pingaheimer 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      i mean there's no science to it! do it every which way for best results obviously! up down, side to side, there is no wrong way to floss, just don't hurt your gums is all. The floss cleans the teeth, it doesn't damage them. The more surface area you pass them through, the more it's cleaning.
