GTA: London 1961 is the hardest by far. It has seven missions. Five of them have insane time limits making them virtually impossible to beat. It also uses GTA 1’s structure where you can’t save between missions and can’t replay missions if you fail them. You die in one hit without armor, which gives you an additional three. You must find weapons and armor, you can’t buy them. And aside from pistols they don’t respawn. Cops bust you in one baton hit on foot. At lest you can supplement missions by blowing up cars for money, as your aim is to get £100,000. After that is GTA 1, then GTA 2, then either GTA: London 1969, GTA III or VCS. In regard to your point about GTA III’s map, the game originally came with a paper map that you were supposed to use to navigate, same as the older games. Still harder than having a full in-game map, but not as bad as you make it out to be here.
@@SuperJM9 for me I used a emulator to play those games and yeah the time limits in that one are insane. I doing a little marathon on the gta games. The ones I did so far are GTA 1 to Chinatown so far.

thanks I do find it tough I have it on Ps3 im at the empire building step been playing for like 3 hours per year since 2016 XD I have a save for each year or so
It is legitimately insulting to say that Wrong Side of the Tracks is hard because of bad game design. It's "bad" because people are f**king stupid, period
@@TimSlee1 It's not hard, it's just people like driving really close to the train for some reason. And also, those people who drive close to the train must not see the sparks when Big Smoke's shots all land on the side of the train
GTA 3 is the hardest GTA Game because it didn't had any pause menu map as well as during many missions, the game didn't used to give you proper instructions so failure was always easy in it to happen. The other thing were the gangs because when you were going to the Cartel or Leone's Area then they always used to attack because you have k*lled their leaders which made free roaming and exploring the game a lot harder.
Here early before this goes viral.!! Incredible video but personally I played VCS back in 2014 on the PS:P; Now that I look at it. It wasn't that hard for me, the game mechanics were better than that of LCS and VC for obvious reasons. Well as you said the difficulty is bound to subjectivity.
I played vice city and vice city stories as a young kid, I think I was eight years old for vice city and around 10 for vice city stories. I can't remember what mission it was for vice city that stopped my playthrough, but I don't think I ever ended up killing Diaz. On Vice City stories though, I remember exactly what mission it was, it was the domestobot mission, controlling that robot was so annoying and I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do lmao.
I remember when playing VCS as a kid there were several missions that took me dozens of tries to pass (I could chalk this up to me being a kid at the time though lol, I haven't played a lot of these missions in around a decade)
the controls and bad graphics/handling do make vice city stories hard... but GTA 1 is far tougher TBF real machine guns do shoot close to 10 bullet a second (13 for MP5s) and GTA bullets are super underpowered so 1 bullet per frame makes its pretty realistic ;)
VCS, got to use a save point hack to pick Gonzalez’s guy from that helicopter with magnets and not doing the mission from start over and over. The mechanics were terrible and AI sharpshooting like the M4 from GTA III was infuriating
I need to play the 2D GTA games since they're the only ones I haven't 100%'d, but here's my opinion: GTA 3: Probably the hardest due to missable missions, aggressive gangs that make certain side missions impossible after a certain point, difficult headshot rampages (especially awful on PS2), some hard missions. GTA VC: Doesn't really have any hard parts in my opinion, it's also my favorite GTA alongside VCS (honestly can't pick between the two). Only sorta hard thing I can think about is the rifle range side mission, again on PS2. GTA SA: Again, no hard parts but definitely one of the longer games. I always average around 40h when I 100% it. GTA LCS: Hardest collectibles. Some hidden packages are pretty crazy, also some nightmarish side missions (RC races come to mind). It's also got the hardest methods for getting to other islands, I know that's not really relevant to the topic but I felt I should mention it. GTA VCS: Biggest difficulty curve. Unfriendly competition comes to mind instantly, as well as Jive Drive, which is a very early mission with relatively high difficulty. I heard that in Japanese verions of the game Vic gets 4x the health or something, guess they thought the game was too hard lol. GTA 4: Hardest driving, I guess? IDK you get used to it and game's pretty easy overall. Fantastic though. GTA 5: Hardest to play cuz it sucks (sorry not sorry).
The reason why missions were designed hard in every GTA is because Rockstar doesn't want you to complete any of the GTA Game easily. They always wanted you to get stuck in the mission so that you can't get mad or too much crazy about games.
First GTA game I played is GTA 2 on the PS1 on my PS2. Later I played VCS and it was really fun for me since I never played a 3d GTA game before and finished as a kid. I was very young so I didn't remember the swearing or anything that my young mind could process at the time in the game because my mind was so young and innocent at the time to process what was going on. I did hear the b word used in the game that I never said IRL until I got older because I didn't know curse words at that age since I was a kid that was pretty innocent at the time until I started to mature a bit when I became an adult. Played the other gta games and one I did one percent. GTA SA because I finished the game so much that I decided to 100 percent the game because I played it so much in my life. When I got 100 percent I was really glad because all that hard work was worth it. If my younger self could see me now he would be proud of me for doing that. Also did a marathon of some of Rockstars games that I nevet beaten from GTA 1 to Chinatown wars. Other ones I played before are Midnight club 2 that I finished finished in under a week. Manhunt 1 and 2. Manhunt 1 took me a few days to beat while the 2nd one took me under 2 days to beat. Now I'm taking a break so I can relax to finish other games that I want to finish before continuing on my rockstar game marathon. I think the hardest GTA game for me to beat was GTA 1 or 2 because of the limited saves for the game. GTA 1 has not aged well from all the time I played the game. GTA 1 to london feel like games you need save states on those games because of how punishing the game is when you die. I did beat GTA 2 with a bit of trial and error a few years ago on PC.
The gang ambushes while it's very frustrating you can reset the hate meter of whatever gang that's going after you by saving your game and reloading that save, mission wise I think it has its fair share of hard missions, some of them are hard because they're buggy and unfair sometimes, I remember struggling with hose the hose because the game wasn't clear on how I'm supposed to spray the business with the firetruck, the arrow would point directly at the building but the fires were somehow inside meaning that I have to move the water hose through the building just to put them out
Played VCS for the first time about a year ago now. It took me a week to pass Turn on, Tune in, Bug out, and a couple days to pass Light my Pyre. The missions people cry about being hard i.e Wrong Side of the Tracks & Demolition Man I passed with ease on my first attempt. I'd love to see the people who think they're hard play the above two VCS missions and then tell me with a a straight face Demolition Man & Wrong Side of the Tracks are hard.
For me, hardest was GTA 3 because of insane time limits, chaotic map and bad cars. VCS was hard but perfect, best atmosphere by far! In VC was hardest those f*cking RC helicopters, to blow up buildings.
The hardest game to play is LCS...not because of dificulty, but because of the shit story line and boring ass side missions...i finished it and hapily never wemt back 😂
Gta 1 definitely. No save points unless you finish a part 1 of the city. If you die you restart from the beginning.

Nah, not when it comes down to having the same reasoning as the devs. It all comes down to whenever your logic agrees with them or not.
